  1. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/600721/UH-1HSA18.acmi That's a Tacview of an AI UH-1H, invulnerable, set to threat ignoring for demonstration purposes vs a SA-18 MANPAD. THe MANPAD keeps pumping out shots. In 6 mins he shot 20 times at the chopper. For reference, in the days of times past, a MANPAD typically was a 2 shot unit that would have to rearm itself after. I believe the current state of MANPADS ammunition to be excessive and possible needs attention. EDIT: If this has been covered before I haven't seen it. I took a quick look around.
  2. I bet the Su-35 with the cobra manoeuvre would be hard for the F-22 to counter. lol
  3. High Pilot workload would be a major concern, and possibly castrate it's effectiveness.
  4. Whatever leprechaun I am.... at least I'd show up to a DCS event with a working HOTAS and systems. :D:D:D Mad, bro?
  5. Replay the track with Tacview installed correctly on your own machine. If you go to the graphics.lua file also, and turn off render and set FPS limit to something really low (like 10) you can very easily replay a track at x10 speed or more, make your DCS non-fullscreen at a really low resolution and have it replaying in the background on your computer. Just don't forget to change it back to normal before you start a flight. lol
  6. Richard E. Grant is here? Good! Anyways, HBD... :smilewink:
  7. It's an underground tunnel explosion. 1,000s of pounds of explosives are carted underneath and detonated. Similar to this: 3LGV764sqew
  8. Yeah.... someone just called 'Overlord' a leprechaun in the comments. LOL
  9. I'm not a betting man, Hajduk, but if I was, I would bet against someone on this corner of the internet looking to plans for guided rockets for purely nefarious reasons. I mean... why would they? A SA-7 Grail for $5k or less if you know the right people.
  10. I guess there are simple transducer circuits that would work, tied in to the rocket controls and gyros. What sort of guidance? Visual? Are you looking for automatic guidance or user guidance like a SACLOS system? You know, you could do this all with GPS aswell, maybe. Depends on what conceptually you want to actually achieve. I know there's model sized aircraft that can be made to follow routes according to GPS coordinates.
  11. I remember I called out on Chat a possible Red Su-27 AI. That's how buggy it was. THe pilots label was Pilot#006... of course it wasn't an AI really... but... that's the level of bizarre we got to.
  12. Yes. If people land on sochi and then explode from a hit/fictitious hit then we know we're no longer in Kansas. :)
  13. My tacview https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/600721/OpJointWarrior.acmi
  14. Well that's good news then.
  15. Because there is no diff in LA between a target head on AB and not ABing, currently in the SIM.
  16. Immediate crash. Can't say about server population.
  17. IN patches prior, yes. In our latest release, it's unconfirmed. On our server we haven't tested it, they have remained invulnerable in the missions since it started to be a problem. Testers are not sure whether it has been fixed or not.
  18. The ET's probably need a buff vs head on AB targets.
  19. FLankerator... Tankers... is there a chance that killing the tanker will cause the server to crash? Also there are some naval units. It's highly unlike they will be hit.... but.... just in case, is there points for them?
  20. Good job Hijack. Try to bring my F-15 back in 1 piece, buddy. ;)
  21. Pop pop pop, watchin' A-tens drop. :P
  22. hahah.,I genuinely laughed out loud. :P:P:D
  23. THat's for your feedback, mate. I was the one that did the huey targets. And I too, used to have trouble with 23mm in the huey. But, with some discipline you will get to the point where you can destroy everything without taking a scratch. Keep at it. Set your gunners for 'Return Fire' - 'Long' and they will mince the ZSU's from range. Yes the loadouts... I normally bring the fuel to 50% before spoolup.
  24. I think in this latest patch EOS detection is conservative, head on, even for a AB contact.
  25. The other option is R-27. I'm guessing they have none working left, or in very small numbers. They inherited a small amount of those missiles. With the transfers from Germany etc we're still talking about 100 or less of all types of R-27. That's a long time ago too.
