  1. Well Ironmike, if he has Autism (so many claim to have it) it precludes him from having standard social skills and he may come across as arrogant. I always would try to consider that too. The bad news is, that those afflicted with such may also find that their thinking is highly compartmentalised and rather rigid when it comes to things in general. This may turn out to affect his ability to translate what he knows into performance. Let's see does he come back with some thoughts on his tracks, if he has any.
  2. Have you watched any/many Tacviews or Tracks, from your endeavourers? Do you understand where your success and your failures lie?

  4. 1.2.8.27203 running now.
  5. Year has passed so fast.
  6. Oh... I dunno... I think what would happen is I would over compensate on the stick, oscillation would set it... >>> Just like that little guy. :joystick: haha
  7. Updated to 1.2.8.27125. Update your clients, most of these recent updates change files that are covered by IC. We get a lot of guys wondering why they can't enter the server after a patch.
  8. 104th_Moa made the stats applet. Moa is busy making his own MoaSim. Of course the event/log files that were used in FC2 are different now, so there was no automatic compatibility between the versions.
  9. I'd say you could start it... even taxi it... but if you tried to take off in it, you might end up in a ball of trouble down the end of the runway.

  11. Namenlos^^ I still have that stick somewhere around the house. haha
  12. Oh.. the first DCS fixed wing module is supposed to be a single engine US fighter. :D
  13. lol at 0:15 I think he has already been identified as being very much a local, the guy with the beard. :D Dare I say.... just because a local Interior Ministry police station has been raided of their Camo+Gear doesn't make anyone that then wears the stuff automatically SSO.
  14. Updated to 1.2.8.26834.405
  15. Fake. I recognise the footage from one of the Snackbar vids. ;)
  16. RIP Sergey Nepobedimy. He's responsible for most tears and pain in our beloved DCS World having designed the Strela series and Igla series of missiles among others. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergey_Nepobedimy
  17. Yeah perhaps. Everything is unclear. Seems people made an assault on the Airdrome, pilot were instructed to put some of the aircraft in the air to get them out of danger.
  18. Which mission? WP1 in a Russian Jet is the same as Nav0 in the A-10C. It's your Spawn point/airbase. So when you start the Nav system at your base, it switches immediately to the next WP. You could test this by not turning on NAV System and taking off, then turning it on a few miles out. Your WP1 would then be behind you at the airfield. As for altitude.... here is a rough guide for Sam engagement altitudes above ground: Metres Feet Strela 4000 13000 Tunguska 5000 16500 TOR 8000 26200 You have to avoid overflying active targets areas unless you are confident that you are above the IR sams and no short range warnings in your SPO signify a TOR/Tung.
  19. Just a quick note... DCS 1.2.8 up and running...
  20. Intuitively I would guess that propellers represent a larger and more vulnerable point of failure for the threats that A-10s would have to face.

    Tesla cars

They do indeed. However... some people did a study and said that planting more trees above a certain latitude would actually have a warming effects as the sun's radiation would not reflect back into space as much heat as if there was less trees and hence more reflective snow. MY solution therefore is to cut down all the trees above that latitude they spoke of. But I might just burn a tyre for now in honour of this thread.
  22. ^^ lol that Avatar though.... :D
  23. I'm not so sure. Iraq was bankrupt. Hence the reason for the Kuwaiti invasion in the first place. ;) As for the actual SAM batteries.... mobility, concealment and efficient use of the actual units themselves is the difference there. Just like Stealth, IAD requires the adoption of an entire doctrine well beyond just the hardware itself. Iraq had the mighty HAWK that they robbed from Kuwait. What difference did it ever make in the grand scheme of things?
