Okay, another quick one :D Runway 26 means the runway heading is 260 degrees or roughly west...If the runway was actually facing 26 degrees, would it be rounded to and called runway 36? (yes, I realise I'm playing this game like a civilian simulator and should spend less time on this and more time dropping bombs...:D)

Hey all, As topic says really...Say the elevation of an airfield is 66, does that quite literally mean the airfield is 66 feet (metres?) higher than the level of the sea? If, for example, I want to tune my baro alt to the airport I intend to land at, Do i just twist the knob on the barometic altimeter until it is at 66? Sorry for the simple question but this seems too simple to be true! Thanks

Hey all, They didn't have trackIr in so I reordered elsewhere (rcsimulations, very friendly and helpful on the phone). Hi, I would go with one graphics card - no noticeable performance improvement afaik (could be wrong on this considering you've got multi monitor)! Spend the saved money on 8gb of ddr3, 1600mhz would be great! What do you have in the way of kit such as Track IR, HOTAS/Rudder pedals etc? That is a great PC and without the right gear you wont get as much enjoyment out of it, as is possible!

Oh..Um...one thing I hated was moving my mouse to look at a panel, pressing ACT + C to change it to click mode, clicking, then repeating the process to look forward again...With TrackIR can I just glance down and click with the mouse? What I mean is...Does Trackir allow me to look around the cockpit, whilst the mouse is in "interact" mode?

Guys, sorry about the stupid question but I've been really inundated with information lately and am still confused about things. Elevation makes sense, but if the elevation is say, 300 feet, then according to barometric altitude when I reach 300 feet I'm on the ground? If I use radar altitude for all my approaches (which I do), then does elevation become irrelevant? Thanks

You'll run it fine, though I'd recommend a graphics card update! GTX 260 to GTX 460 saw a huge fps increase for me! DCS A-10 is incredible - If you like choppers consider Black Shark too, also a great product :-) First rep inbound for seeing the light and coming back to sims! Con

Cheers ethereal! It's not that theyre clogged, its just that I dont have any case fans (they broke..) and as such airflow was nonexistent. Now my PC has a dedicated 14" fan blowing air over it. Ridiculous....but works xD

Hmm, thanks for the reply guys - though I'm still a little unsure...I think that for now I can manage without attaching it to headphones - So basically, if I have the standard trackIR5 and a baseball cap, I'm set to go...But if I want to attach it to my headphones, I'll need the trackclip pro? Hey guys... Due to poor airflow in my PC it was always overheating, so I've opened the PC case and just run a standard house fan over the components...it's dropped all my temps by about 20oC and everything is nice and stable...My only worry is that I leave the PC case open all the time with the fan running..Could this cause any problems? Cheers!

After 10 years of flight simming using a HAT switch, I just purchased a TrackIR5 from flightstore.co.uk.. I hope it is as immersive as I have heard! Will it just click on top of my headphones? Can't wait :D Not more slowly panning round to click buttons... Any advise to minimise setup issues?? Con

But I mean for weapons that do require a laser, why then would you manually fire it over using auto?
