I also just returned to the game as I got sick of bad performance - Adding an SSD completely removed the annoying stutters I used to get. For anyone still running an RPM drive, I suggest immediate upgrade if money allows!

Hey all, I've had to format due to installing an SSD. I originally purchased BS1 from Direct2drive who are now Gamefly. I can't seem to find the download link - can I use the BS2 plugin module for World, or do I need the BS1 client first? Thanks.

Hey guys cheers for reply - I tried to get it to record FPS but it didnt come out on the video! I think maybe it's just my PC, but it's strange as I get 45fps in A10 with move the TGP and Mav cam on!

Hey guys, I have been getting into BS2 and, annoyingly, when I turn my schkval on I drop temproarily from constant 30fps (locked) to about 16. I've been told this is because I am using a very old HDD (old Seagate 7200rpm Sata) and only 4gb of ram. As such I'm going to upgrade to an SSD and add another 4gb of ram. Could anybody confirm whether or not this will fix this issue? Thanks!

Hey all, Got a good friend of mine that is quite interested in the DCS series, however he only has a single joystick (with about 3 buttons..) and no TrackIR etc. With DCS World, is it completely free? My plan is (if it's possible) to get him to download the SU25b with DCS World and play that online with me in some coop missions. Hopefully that'll interest him enough to invest in a HOTAS and the A10 or Shark. - I would presume due to the simplicity of the SU25 in terms of avionics, it's probably much more "doable" than a more advanced yet with a single joystick. Is this possible or will be need some sort of paid licence?

Hi guys, I've installed DCS World today and plugged in my A10, though I understand the Shark can't be added yet. As such, following installation of World I installed Black Shark 1.00, though the BS2 installer says "DCS Black Shark must be installed" - Is this a case of having to remove world, reinstall BS, Install BS2 then install world? Many thanks

Will third party developers be able to release scenery and atmosphere updates ala Real Environment X etc?
