What are the general specs on your system? I'm just wondering it may help others, also when you set everything to low do you get consistent frame rates above 30?

I'm not running Ryzen but have seen dozens of posts by folks using it. It seems pretty common, and I've never heard of any software or sims that are limited in that way, it would be HUGE news! Are you thinking because it doesn't work for you that everyone on earth with a Ryzen also has this issue with DCS world?

I know you're not going to want to hear this but you very likely have a hardware issue with your GPU, most will get upset upon hearing this and say there is no way but in the end you'll find it's tied to the GPU. Youre not having issues with other games etc because they aren't using graphics ram like this sim does. Normally 4 GB is good enough but if for some reason it's cutting you off at 2 gb gpu ram then that's the exact same failure that will give.

If you could post your crash .dmp file as an attachment (I am assuming you have Windows configured to save minidump files) I can give you some clues or you can look yourself to find exactly which module is responsible. Otherwise you can guess and scratch your head all day long wondering when it's on your machine in black and white in a .dmp file! Try googling 'bluescreenview' !

Well yes but it happens often and if there's no way to fix it I'll be forced to dump this sim, I'm far too old to be messing with broken shit I didn't make myself. Thanks for the info on the structure I'll see if there's a way to manually fix it. Yes I always use note ++ If anyone who knows a bit how these .lua files are called it would help me I'll start looking in some .lua that runs before this one perhaps it's been altered in some way I'll try a simple compare with another, I guess anything I do can't hurt it worse lol. I think it's pretty sad that this isn't such a uncommon thing.

I agree you should be able to do that, but every attempt I have tried results in ONLY the LOG restored NOT the CAMPAIGNS history I had one completed and most had many missions completed. So if you are aware of a successful method can you please explain how you did it? REPLACING logbook.lua only restores the Log and all the medals and kill records, I have hundreds of kills but 0 missions 0 campaigns? This has happened several times in the past with these "updates" they tend to screw up my past history in the past replacing that one file seemed to work, now it won't work.

The title say's it the last update seems to have lost connection to my campaign progress yet my log shows medals as well as kills and all stats are still there. All campaigns show 0 and inactive. I have tried restoring from saved folders but the campaigns don't seem to take. Maybe some advice which .lua I need to transfer from the saved ones just to restore the campaign progress, win 7 64 if that matters. Thanks in advance.

I must be strange because it made sense to me looking at the title. I also wouldn't even think there should be any reason the black shark, and only the black shark would change to some other version. But who knows like I said I must be weird.

That is a question I've had since they came out. It makes no sense as far as I can tell. Like buying a car but dealer making you buy tires separately WTF? So you use WW2 planes and tanks in Vegas (along with my now useless in Vegas KA-50) that makes total sense now. It's never failed to amaze me how a alpha project generates so much excitement (and income) we are still having to build our own sim in the end. Nobody can be blamed for wanting to make a buck, but to continuously imply this is some sort of community project is marketing genius. I suppose this could be my last post here, I'm liking it less and less.

I agree. The term FREE has been emphasized endlessly when the powers that be tell us how great it's going to be, in these threads. It's a normal business model, but it's not any kind of charity the DCS company isn't operating on your prayers and best wishes lol. I certainly won't be begging for them to release it. I simply stopped buying modules until it's delivered, I have no grandiose idea that it matters to anyone but myself but I do suspect others feel and are doing the same.

I don't remember that I had the first blackshark but didn't fly lomac. What kind of land marks and structures are you talking about for example? I'm living in a small town in the south sound called Lakebay by the way.

I'm guessing if your struggling now for performance in either 2 or 1.5 I doubt any miracles will happen with the merge that will suddenly give you smooth frame rates. Only so much optimizing can be done, it takes hardware improvements eventually.

I'm thinking it's done and they're waiting so they can give a Holiday "gift". You gotta love the way they keep emphasizing the 'FREE' part. I have a helicopter that's not much use in Las Vegas, this will drive sales for modules as well as allowing existing customers to use modules that they've already purchased that really only have a use in the Caucasus, referred to as an "update" yet also said to be free. So are you talking about a issue you had once in the distant past? Was that when you were using a version that's been updated? If not and it can't be reproduced then what can anyone do?

I haven't found any with any obstructions that could cause any issues, touch and go's and landing and slowing to a taxi. I wonder where that one is?

Is this needless pain the result of overzealous protection from pirates?
