  1. Nice pics. Can't see a tail code on the A-10's. Where were those pics taken? In the UK?
  2. ECM indicator is on the right hand console just under the canopy rail a round green light with NOMEXA written next to it. You have to decide before you start that you want to record your flight. Instead of pressing the FLY button, if you want to record a track, choose Flight, Record Track or use the keyboard shortcut of CNTRL/R. Dont fly online so can't help you with your final question.
  3. Hope you have fun flying them. Be warned, you'll have trouble getting SUCCESS on the last mission (escort anti-ship) in the F-15 campaign. The Tornadoes stand very little chance of sinking the Admiral Kuznetsov. Its SAM's can easily shoot down the (Sea Eagle and ALARM) missiles fired at it. Be happy and regard yourself as successful if you keep the Tornadoes alive so they can at least have a go.
  4. I tried American Sports, but officials instead of players. He won with Ed Hochuli - famous NFL referee. I won with Aaron Pointer - NFL official and brother of The Pointer Sisters singing group.
  5. I seem to recall that when I last flew this, the A-10's go wandering off looking for other targets (and thus likely get zapped) once they have killed the vehicles they are tasked with destroying. Sometimes happens with missions when you are relying on the AI to do something in order to get a SUCCESS. If you killed the threats. then youve done what you should do. Use the stuff below to enable you to move on with the campaign. Here is my standard "I want to get further on in a campaign and the stupid %$£&* wont let me" cut and paste. After you finish a mission in a campaign, go through the debrief screen to the next mission, quit from that one and you save your progress by clicking (top left) "file" then "save". Don't confuse this type of saving with "save states" (ie the save button on the window you get after pressing ESC to quit). I have never had save states work, most folks haven't - it seems to be borked. But anyway, you are getting frustrated with the whole thing and just want to fly and get further on in the campaign.... There are possible workarounds, so lets get into those. You can declassify a campaign (or a standalone mission) in the Mission Editor and fly the campaign missions in any order you want (plus change skins, weapon loadout, etc). I use this method all the time to cherry-pick the fun missions in a campaign and miss out the dull ones. Go into Mission Editor, upper left of screen click on the open button, bottom right TYPE OF FILE select CAMPAIGN, navigate the folder structure to the campaign you want and select it. Bottom right click on MAP. Now you will see the 1st mission of your campaign. Many standalone missions and campaigns are classified with a password so that they cannot be easily/accidentally changed. The stock standalone missions and campaigns that come with Lockon use the password EAGLE. Top left, click on EDIT, then DECLASSIFY, enter the password EAGLE. Now all the missions in the campaign should appear on the right hand side, so select the mission you want to fly. If you wish, you can select your aircraft, select PAYLOAD and pick different weapons / fuel load / skin. You can add or remove other units, change the weather, time of day etc. If you have downloaded any of the excellent missions/campaigns designed by the Lockon community, then some may be classified. Either the briefing notes or the readme file may tell you the password. Some may not. If not, then you can still get in by overwriting the password with your own. Use keystrokes rather than the pulldown menu to do this. Press "ctrl + left shift + C" then type in a password of your choice e.g. 1234. Now press "ctrl + left shift + D" and enter your password e.g. 1234 NOTE that Lockon does not seem to remember this, so you may have to do it each time you restart Lockon.
  6. Viper - that Mod you linked for automag928...... Is it FC only or 1.02 as well?
  7. Nice mix of in-aircraft description and a map diagram made it much clearer for me. Sweet tutorial......
  8. You have to be careful. A few years ago I had a party at my house, invited about 60 people but only 30 turned up on the night and the atmosphere was a bit lame. So the next year I invited 120, figuring 60 would turn up for the perfect party critical mass. All 120 turned up and some brought friends. The house was so crowded it took 20 minutes to push past folks just to get to the kitchen to get another drink and the queue for the toilet was all the way down the stairs all night.
  9. Would love to have confirmed what the race details were exactly. Which airbase was the takeoff - Khersones? Which was the destination - touch and go at Rasdolnoye? Which airbase was the finish - Kerch? Timing done from start of takeoff on runway or engine start in parking? Timing done to a complete stop at finishing airbase on the runway? Pilots choice for fuel load/extra tanks or preset by the race organisers? I'd like to know the details so I can have a go myself in each aircraft to see how my (doubtless rubbish) time matches up against the winners. Also curious about tactics. Better to stay low or climb high? Land fast or as per normal? Flaps and gear as late as possible or as per a normal landing? The more I think about it all, the more questions I'm generating.....
  10. Lucas, Gigz-on - Thanks for that. I'd guessed that probably it was kinda random. Maybe one day I'll sign up for a night class and try to learn Russian. Heard the "Nagging Nadia" warnings from Lockon so many times now that I mostly know what they are. "Yes I know the left engine is on fire. Just shut up woman!"
  11. Looking at the picture of the combo keyboard, is the layout of the Cyrillic letters in anyway linked to the sound of them when pronounced being the same or similar as the sound of the Latin letters? Or is it random?
  12. Note that the refuel and rearm only work when you are stationary on the ground. If you are in the air, they will dump fuel and jettison weapons.
  13. http://www.virtual-jabog32.de/index.php?section=downloads&subcat=28&lang=en If you want a big choice (200+) of Lockon movies, then our German chums over at JG32 is the place to look........
  14. Nice...... never seen film of anyone doing it backwards before! For those folks wanting a crack at it themselves and wondering about the location of the Rock with the Hole, it is waypoint 40 on my Crimea Tour (link below). Crimea Tour http://www.lockonfiles.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&cid=145&lid=63&ttitle=Crimea_Tour_by_Brit_Radar_Dude#dldetails ...and here it is in real life
  15. http://www.amvi.it/index.php?idx=video Our Italian friends have a nice collection of more than 70 Lockon movies (at the bottom of the linked page) including the aforementioned one by Locsta plus a few of his others....

  17. Not used RaMGen myself so pardon my ignorance if I am asking obvious questions, but can you not just open the generated mission using the Mission Editor, declassify it if it is classified, then change the pilot name to whatever you want.....

  19. Sweet! Good to see folks are still making missions and campaigns.........
  20. Simply copy all your own missions and campaigns to a safe area elsewhere on your PC. They will be in the ........\lockon\missions folder.
  21. I think you actually do have the 1.12b, they forgot to change it so that it tells you it is "b". Both "a" and "b" tell you it is "a". But it is no big deal, the only difference of "a" and "b" is that "b" has some extra stuff for Vista users - the Lockon part of the patch is the same.
  22. Update - the 666th seem to have moved. The timetables are still available but only as an embedded file in the (Modman compatable) mission pack called A-10A mission pack: Trains & planes. The other link seem broken. Scroll down the linked page to the bottom to find the mission pack..... http://www.666th.org/downloads.php?cat_id=1
  23. Az' - thanks for posting about it here. That is a superb movie! It highlights the great stuff that the AdA-mod team are doing. Favorite bit - the Shilka shooting up the hillside........
  24. Back at ya Brum !!
  25. Embarrassing to say that I don't know the difference either and here I am firing one during a visit to Colorado Springs a couple of years ago. But I'm not 100% what it is - is it a CAR-15? IguanaKing is well known on these boards and the weapon is his brothers. Wikipedia says that the civilian semi-auto versions were marketed as CAR-15 so I guess that's what it is, but don't quote me on that. I'd never fired anything other than a shotgun before, but this is very easy to shoot. I was hitting what I aimed at very easily with just the iron sights.
