Why don't you power lines ! I have the power lines between the poles. And what is more wonderful is that one day I slammed my plane into the wires and my plane crashed and the wire tension brought down two adjacent poles. Isn't that cool ! :)

@bigbear948: I am using an inexpensive joystick Saitek cyborg evo. This one falls in your price range. The joystick is good and has not given me any trouble yet.

@kalosh: Are you using a keyboard or a joystick? If you are using a keyboard then it will be very hard to maintain a stable pitch as the keyboard does not self-center the axes when released.

In Russian aircrafts, lock your enemy, wait for Launch Authorization (this you can override) and hold the fire button pressed for 1 second. Some missiles can be fired without getting a lock and with the Launch override.

Press Ctrl + Pause/Break twice. This will show some in-game FPS stats.

@Conure I have a weaker PC than you. core2duo 2.66mhz 2GB 800mhz RAM Geforce 9600GT Windows 7 64-bit. I have all the settings set to the highest. Resolution 1280x720. Anti aliasing @ 4x and anisotropic filtering @ 2x (Set from nvidia control panel). After all these, I get a constant frame rate greater than 50FPS. At ground levels (like at airfield), FPS is around 30.

My first flight sim was Novalogic's F-22 Lightening 3. I enjoyed it a lot. It had a "Hollywood style" gameplay and flying that I felt like I were Maverick (Tom Cruise) :D. But then I played Lomac and realized that you cannot yank your plane here and there in the real world. Finishing comment: If you like to get the real feeling of flying a plane then play Lock-on FC2. And if you like to showboat like Tom Cruise then play HAWX. :D

Buy a scooter helmet with anti-glare visor. That would be easy to get.

I just posted what I saw in the documentary. They compared several areas of special force activities and rated Russian Spetsnaz number 1. I know we can never find out who is the best but on the papers (at least in their documentary) they came out on the top.
