  1. Awesome material and nice work.
  2. I have a question... Are those plane to be bought inserted in the DCT (aka DC) when we buy them or are they for MP only ?
  3. Succellus

    TrueSky

Reducing cost and devolpment time at this price ?
  4. Thank you people thats what i wanted. My situation is i needed a TMC files with header for stick twist and all axes recognized as only 1 DX device. I did it, but i had previously configured the buttons on the TARGET (which by the way is the fastest way for 95% configs at least.0 And altought theres references to this there s nwhere i could find an explanation and i wasnt sure copy pasting the TARGET script on the TMC would work. I wonder why TM or 1) didn t do a little program for direct imput into TMC, or 2) haven t included axis twist and all axis under 1 DX only as options in TARGET guy. Thank you again, should be able to take care of myself now on.
  5. Any one know hoe to transform a TARGET script to a .TMC or something similar ?
  6. Couldn t expect less from SCsimulation guys... Its almost unfair :)
  7. I don t know how yout device work but usually adding friction is about adding a rubber or something that will add resistance to the movement you have to do. In the cougar it was an arm with a rubber, the arm was controlled with a screw, i suppose its the same with the warthog, and its the same on inddor bikes.
  8. Wood here is sold on woodshop only, and they are very far from where i am and on not so safe places. The woodshop that cut near here doesn t do a suficient good job for somithing that need to be milimetricaly precise. And i don t have the tools not skill to do it myself. I have my contact its just that now on i ll have to ask for a cut wait for it to come, adjust or ask for a recut, it take times.... But i suppose next week i ll have my 22 monitor plank cut so i can start copying your inspiring work. Now i need to collect more info on switches to know how thick the wood can be so they stick fine, probably will have to import them
  9. Never mind something made me snap that the manual wouldn t be in the manual section but in the program section . Very rational, but hey! They re french :P (so am i) :D .
  10. You seem to be an experienced wood cutter, all your work seem clean and neat. Huh just dont forget you have to enter and exit the pit, with side intruments it can be tricky. Hinges ? wheels ? (there s silicon wheels with brakes that can be locked. i used them for my seat so they wouldn t scrap the floor like normal plastic wheels do)
  11. I m having issues with MDF but i already bought and configured helios. Then its waiting when pit builder will have time and pacience to do the UFC and the warning panel so i can try start devising were will i put switches and then start building. I guess i ll only d finish it next year middle to fall. But so far the 37" TV is awesome for flying and gaming!
  12. http://img847.imageshack.us/img847/4139/screen110831234747.jpg Luke Skywalker prefered f15 ? :)
  13. Impressive, put traffic (car and buses) and thats exactly what i remember when jumping out of the plane. I know this is FC... but its easy to forget how DCS/FC are beautifull.
  14. I suppose more i,,ersive than that only with some gigantic projectors. Must be heaven flying on that.
  15. Lucky you i m having a hard time trying to find MDF around here.
  16. Nah i prefer DCS F18. This is only eyecandy. Not sure there s enought meat in to keep me interested.
  17. Console port :music_whistling:
  18. Welcome to a eolrd that will eat your time at breakfast, but its so rewarding, its worth all seconds. And welcome to middle project change too.
  19. Ragtop, when you begin building you want it finished, but when your in the middle of the build you start thinking a million things you could add, it takes times, and its immensely more fun than i inicially tought. And its very satisfying especially if you are in the do it yourself end of the stick. I ve already seen half a dozen way to improve its confort, now i m figuing how to hold the Thrustmaster MFD on my 22" Samsung trying to devise something cool that could be easely taken off for lets say less modern planes cockpit (if i can export intrument in the 22") Also trying to devise an easy way to make a panel for the screen that could be easely changeable for lets say: K50 / A10 / F18 so each one would have diferent instruments in a diferent way. Thanks Hassata.
  20. I am pleased to see my USMC (Ugly, Separated (no link between seat and video), Mobile (on wheels, cockpit) cockpit pass the alfa stage, i bothered a lot of people while i didn t had money or idea of how to do it due to restriction of space and budget, and i thank you all for your patience. It wasn t simple to reach a design as it has the following small list of premises: - Must fit in tight environment (1,40m lenght X 1,20m wide (those form wall to wall with a shelves eating 20 cm of the lenght)) (knowing i m 1,80m tall) - Must remain a confortable workstation; - Must be easy to move around; - Must be confortable; - Must be sturdy for T-rex like friends or relatives;(120 Kilos (240 pounds)) - Must have at least 2 screens; - Must have relaxed position for legs; - Must fit in wallet; - Room must remain usable; - Cannot move any furniture but for the removal of the part serving as worksation. - Must be a joy to fly and bring immersiveness. - I should be able to do the main part myself but the finishing. - Must reuse all hardware i have, save video board upgrade (MSI 460 hawk to MSI 580 GTX/OC) - Must not bring the ire of the godess, (at least nothing that would made her uncontrolable) - Must be able to be expanded in design. - Must reuse as much useless stuff i have home as it can. To build this still non operational early beta, i used the SIDIWA (Shit I Did It Wrong Again)method of the DIY (Do It Yourself) institude, and GOOGLESKETCH to CAD many configs until it narrowed to 2 candidates and finally a winner. Below is the foundation of the seat, a low cost car custom seat, which at least can recline the backseat at will for more confort, the base can aso be swing forward and bacward so i can adjust the lenght of the reach of the warthog throttle for more confort. All wheels have a lock so they don t start rolling while i exert pressure on the saitek pedals. Here is the table i made for the 37" main screen (LG 37LE5300) and my Syncmaster 22", below it fits the Saitek combat pedals in a fully workable way: Its hard to understand how big the 37"screen is by the picture but i can t take a picture encompassing it when seated in front of it, And i don t have space to get more backward Here we see an encompassing view of the seat environment: trusty haf 922, warthog, sea of cable... etc Now i enter the beta stage, some adjustment must be made, and more material waited (UFC, DAMAGE PANEL, SWITCHES, etc) and programing (helios must be undertook). By any schedule plan i will only be able to finish it middle to fall 2012 if all goes well. But it should be operational by the end of the month. I ll keep updating as it goes on. (independent of your wishes :D )
  21. This should be stickied cause it server all cockpit builders.
  22. He s accomplished an interesting exposee of cynic black humour, and nice sarcasm doing exactly what he told not to do. i could have done better, but it would be even more offending. Steve jobs did a lot when he started Apple, and we own him much of flight simulation for putting personal PC on the table of our homes. The rest is mere consequence.
  23. Hey those are only CAD draws right ? I m lost here.
