Thrustmaster Warthog controller??????
Succellus replied to lazduc's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I was like you when i bought it....With the data allowed to be gathered in its pike the failure rate was around 1% max 2%. Since latest patch failure has dropped well below that. Only way to know if your patched is: 1) download from TM site and install T.A.R.G.E.T 2) Download the latest formware installer program as well as the firmware. 3) Plug your toy and check firmware displayed in Target. 4) Upgrade is needed. If it bricks remember its only the throttle. Try hard reboot, not working ask for switch to a new unit where you bought it, not working contact TM aftersale, don t forget to ask for fret refund if its the case. If you feel confident you can send the throttle board only and ask them for sending another back, they have accepted before. Relax, all in life is a gamble or a leap of faith, this is just another. PS: Asus isn t the case MAC, AMD, MSI and other brands have bricked too. -
Awesome!!!

Some speak very well of the Saitek pro headset.

SCsimulations.com take a look at the cockpit building section. I intend to do it soon, and i am as crude as you are in this matter.

My TrackIR is irritating and pedantic :/

Wait! if you have it with A10 and not with Blackshark, and the program is the same, then the problem ain t tack ir but A10c... Something might be interfering. I agree something more eficient should be developped. -

I only own one sorry, you should have read my sig. Analysing your problem i can only get one conclusion. You have a problem with your head axis/posture. The program won t go offcenter by itself, thats a fact. What probably happens, is the fact that you neck muscles got tired and by milimeters you have diferenciations over the original axis. Same as your posture, you may not even know it, but you are constantly adjusting yourself without taking notice. As for your zooming in out, please study neck ergonomy and you will see our head doesnt move flat and our eyes compensate to correct this. Unfortunatly the tracking device take note of the 6dof movements compared to the center (Zeroed position). Adding all this, again, i think "you are the problem", please note the comas, everybody does those movements but some people more than others, and some people are coming back toward the original "zeroed" position more naturally than others. i think you can dilute the problem with 3 simple actions: 1) Check that you are really relaxed when you center the track ir before playing. 2) Check monitor/TV height it maybe the cause, if not confortable while zeroing, you will "strain" your neck and during your flight session. your muscle will constantly fight to come back to a confortable position while you will force them to come back to a "perfect" gaming position. Hence the issues. 3) Play with deadzones and curves. We aren t as perfect as we think. I too zeroe my Track IR during flyingtime and consider it normal. By luck i am able to put the "zeroing" button in the throttle function. -

So far down i would kick the 2 contender are F18C and F16 block 52 ++ (whatever it may be)..... But i lean a lot toward F18 putting my wish asides (its not the one i want) especially because of an old request from ED team and a feature inserted in next patch (.9) -
I know i saw the A10 movie from the same guy same music...was just making a joke.

Interesting, the neck of the stick seem a very interesting solution for convencional seats. The rudder system seems like adapted motorcycle forward commands, and the throttle would be awesome. The TV+monitors settup is the wise one for DCS without going overhead. Just the wheeled stand that seem a bit too bulky from outside.
-
Lot of blur on terrain too, i dont recall getting that fuzzy from those distances.
-
Though the same as you when it was around January even bitting myself for having bought it due to the bricking. But when i received it in February, damn! I flipped to the other side. From far the best stick i ever had. Would buy it again if i had to. So glad i had it that for the first time i really found the need to built a (budget)mock pit, it really deserve it.

TrackIR loads DCS BlackShark instead of DCS A10C

Strange i don t have this issue, can t you guys SHOW TIR the right path for each game ? As if linking a new game exe ? -
Am i wrong or this is lost music ? Huahahahah. Arma 3 on LOST island fight agaisnt the vapormonster BF3....lol
-
Looks like an fc2 engine like... but very interesting videos apart from the music. There s also an element here that always make me wonder. The view of thepilot in this f18 cockpit is more natural to me (i flought 10mn in a mil. sim f18 some month ago on LAAD) than DCS A10 is. I know this is adjustable, but as i never went into an A10 cockpit i dont know if DCS A10 standart view is "too far from hud" or not. I wonder is any a10 pilot or anyone that has seated there could comment.

You can t have intuitive in all directions damn it. Your screen ain t 360!!! Trueview is only usefull if you have many screen around all your head. Without true view you have to set the parameter that will be confortable but you will have losses. Exactly the same as having no body, no arm no legs and been able to do a 360 with your neck in th a10 cockpit. There s always a trade off. -

Did you up grade the firware to the latest before it bricked ? Ha and don t forget to ask them shipping refund -
They are all the same... The only one that stick out some is ARMA. Rest is all more of the same, but as long people are happy who cares.

F16 would imediately bring all falconites still alives into a frenzy. The Cougar is there, "cheap". The other contender F18 would bring carrier ops, but map must be expanded or another theater set. Caspian sea ain t exactly a good theater for a CBG. But since they ll bring us nevada 1.9, then some desert theater wouldn t be that far wouldn t it ? Also ED team asked for as much info and high res pictures from CVN 70 as can be brought. Even if not CVN 70 which other plane would it be ? Both planes have various countries retrofitting worldwide, which is very nice for sim mil contract (such doesn t happens for the F15). I am quite confident we'll see one of the 2. Unless ED take us by surprise and sim a Russian one.

Where are you getting that from ?
-
Açso try e-bay
-
Impressive!!! the gauge stuff... I suppose a full working cockpit will be awesome with such features.
-
If you re really spoiled you won t even be able to fly FC2 a10 anymore...lol. Imagine what will it be if next module is f15... Better be f18 then...
