The nam era would be an instant hit, its still an Epic era in warfare very fresh in collective memory, olds and youngs alike. as to buy i will wait for it to be released (obvious) and wait for feedback compared to what i already own. I don t know about you guys, but if you don t know, but just to stay on todays possibilities and not the past: WW1 theres Rise of Flight WW2 theres CloD We lack: Vietnam So maybe realeasing some old F4, M21, F21, A7, Mig19 would be more interesting to the comunity than a paying for a P51. And i guess collecting data and realeasing them will be far easyer than real modern planes, and military won t be picky about that. And again, you ll get huge attetion from the simmers. FC3 is clearly acceptable, P51, for me, is a very bad signal. It feel like, "OMG we need money! Let push things out of the closet and sell everything on Ebay." I really hope i m wrong on that assumption...because this is bothering me far more than a useless P51 on present FLOT.

What i see here, is a lot of sidework to try to keep interest in DCS. Because i really don t think they have any other plane in the oven. And sadly their only option was to bring old stuff and non related stuff on the board to gain time. FC2 ->FC3 P51 (Nice but what the heck has it to do with DCS, and as for modern warfare, its slow, its paperwork, any tank . 50 will bring it down fast with the level of accuracy tank machinegunners have) Preclude to one more WW2 sim. If so ok, if not, just sightseen. K50-1 -> K50-2 (at least it have a scenario for it) Nevada ? - A10C -> A10C (good if it comes with more detailed and extensive training missions (but due to the historical incompatibility beetween version i don t see it likely) All in all it ain t bad, but its surely no good news. Really, i m waiting for a fast mover...and would really like yo know what it is so i can build the rest of my pit being a hybrid of A10 and the next one.

it seems you re underestimate the market. I think people will pay such for a FC like simulation with a bit more perfect A10 sim quality. If you propose,: (add "whatever" after the planes suggestions) 4 Fast movers (f16, Su 27, ef2000, Su 37) 2 CAS (Su 25, A10c) 2 naval (f18, su 33) 2 helos (K50, AH 64) + 2 AWACS or similar systems (2 because red side and blue side) + better AI + Dynamic SP/MP campaign or whatever you name it (with blue VS red and a Mixed one) A very good SDK for developing periferal interface / or total support for peripherals that already exist (but arent supported in A10) 2 diferent scenários the size A10C Secure MP servers and really good users book for each planes, I bet you will get your 500,00 bucks paids. Its just a matter of how you present the pill) its what people have already shelled for LO1, LO2, FC2, LOP, KA50, KA 502, A10C anyway, without counting peripherals, pit building items, multi monitors etc. Remember those 500 doesn t have to be a one time go, make a monthly fee of 50 for 10 month, and you will have a go. (its barely double for World of arghtcraft, or L(a)EVE it online(alone). The problem with 500 is more psycho than real. Remember A10C public isn t the average COD kid...Those who don t buy it today won t buy it then. and even then if you analyse the market cod kid shell 60 per month with add ons + original in a span of 4 months...for games that last 4 month max and then move on to the next cod like game....shelling more 60 bucks for more 4 months... rince and repeat. Now if the company realeased a 250 bucks games all in one few would pay. Behind that is the same psycho of the 1,99 buck VS 2,00 price. Just because it doesn t exist in the market, it doesn t mean it wouldn t work.

I would and gladly if the sim is good and that would last long. I ve probably shelled more than 15000,00 USD since i ve started flight simming, in hardware and software upgrades, shoddy and good sims, diverses hardware and software peripherals, cockpit building etc. And i will probably shell near 1000,00 this year only improving my pit. Ask your friend if he would buy shiny new equipments just to play a single game. and one year later have to buy all again for another single game ? Secondly Tell him that if is the problem is cost, so he should skydive, now he will see what cost are. (comment to be taken on a joking tone) BTW, is he courageous enought to jump from a plane at 12000 feet high at 130 mph hoping a sheet of tissue will stop his ground crashing ? Or does he prefer to keep being banged in his holliday-on-ice arena ?
