I'll try D3DGear. Thanks. I've played around with Shadowplay, but have had more headaches than success with it. Just activating SP is 50/50. Wasn't really impressed with the performance. It's still in beta IIRC.

I'm having a difficult time using DXTory with DCSW. Granted I am using the trial version, but it works great with other games (Assetto Corsa, Grand Theft Auto 5, BF4)- just not DCSW. I don't want to buy it if this is how the full version will run. I am running DCSW on 1 drive and writing to a separate. Both SSDs. I am attempting to record track files at 1920x1080 (although I play at 6000X1080). My frames with DXTory turned off are capped at 60fps. (Vsync on.) When I go to record (DXtory set at 30fps), it drops to 15-20 tops and is not smooth. I am using the lagarith lossless codec as it seems to be the most popular. The ironic part is when I use FRAPS (the program itself, not the codec), it runs smooth as butter, but I want to avoid the huge file size. MSI Afterburner also results in the same as DXTory. But runs fine with other games, but not DCSW. Can anyone share some suggestions? Thanks.

Anyone run a GTX 980 in Surround/triple monitor configuration? Is 4GB enough to support today's games with near high/max settings? Wondering how DCS, Assetto Corsa, and Battlefield run and look in Surround. There are plenty of videos and benchmark articles about this card with single 4k monitors, but no surround/triple screen benchmarks.

The Sapphire can be purchased for $600 at Newegg and Amazon - not $700 as stated in the video. So keep the price in mind when reviewing the benchmarks. $600 vs. $1000

See my specs in my sig CCC set to application settings (currently using 13.2 beta 7) DCS World settings in the attachment below (Since that pic, I turned on tree shadows and upped the preload radius and visibility a bit) I limit my fps to 30 and only see it dip below 30 when flying low over populated cities and/or situations with many vehicles/aircraft. When I unlock the fps (but still use v-sync), I see 40-60 fps. Surprisingly, I no longer get the flashing white boxes that many of us ATI/AMD users experience with HDR enabled. I had a 6970 prior to my 7970.

Tech of Tomorrow (the Titan Vs. 690 benchmark video producer) plans a multi monitor benchmark with the Titan, 690, 7970 3 and 6GB, 680 4GB and other cards. For those of us that use Eyefinity or Surround, this test will be more relevant. I just recently upgraded from a 6970 to a 7970 6GB. Freakin day and night comparison. Eyefinity (59xx X 1080) struggled at times with 2GB, even at modest graphic settings. Now, everything is maxed and I'm doing 30 to 60 fps (v-sync limited) in DCS, BF3, Rise of Flight. I am pleasantly surprised that BF3 on ultra settings is running an avg of 40-50 fps on 64 player maps. Arma 3 on max settings still runs 20-30, given it's in Alpha stage.

Titan vs. GTX 690

Is the flashing white boxes issue primarily an ATI 69xx deal? I just recently upgraded to a 7970. I am pleasantly surprised! No more flashing white boxes with HDR enabled!! My prior card is a 6970 and I could not enable HDR without getting those flashing white boxes. Currently using AMD Beta 13.2 version 7.

I use Driver Sweeper between each new driver installation, in addition to the uninstaller that comes with the AMD uninstaller. It cleans out the residual files and is safe. 1) Run AMD uninstaller 2) Reboot 3) Run Driver Sweeper (AMD files) 4) Reboot 5) Install new drivers (or in your case, #4 should be turn off computer and install new videocard. Then fire it up and install Nvidia drivers.)

Did a clean install to AMD 13.1 drivers DCS World will not get past the first loading screen prior to the main menu (after 13%). "DCS has stopped working." I haven't tried previous AMD drivers, yet. Anyone with an HD6970 recommend a more stable driver version?
