  1. When the mods/terrain/misc/dcs folder is cleaned out and renamed whatever or just deleted altogether, and when you reload DCS for that terrain, should it not recompile with new shader files? I see nothing.
  2. Gonky talks AAR
  3. Great find. Have you looked at the drogue basket issue? It's similar... once "connected" and refueling, the basket remains a few feet in front of the aircraft's probe.
  4. Attempting to use the frooglesim discount code according to the latest video ( ), but it’s not being accepted. Would love to help out with the 10% going to donation. Any word if it’s being looked at?

Thanks. But the download link at the page takes me to this page. https://filehorst.de/folder.php?key=cPhLNCvx
  6. Initially loaded up the OB build without deleting the all of the usual shaders folders. Ran ok online. Deleted all of the usual shaders ..... recomplied everything in SP. Go to MP menu. IC failure. Remove this shader mod. IC pass. So I'm back on the stock build now without the shader mod. Seems ok for now. Nothing currently wow-ing me. Reprojection is at auto. Will mess around more.

Is there an updated link to V0.81.7 ? Or is someone willing to dropbox it? The link 2 posts above appears broken. I can get v0.80 from the creator's website though.
  8. There are many OBS DCS videos out there. Most recent one that simplifies the process is this one With regards to resolution. It comes down to what you set as your output resolution. The higher the res, the bigger the file and if your CPU can’t handle the load, it will slow down during the process. 1920x1080 and 2560x1440 are common. Above that, 3840x2160, you’re gonna need a strong CPU and fast SSD. Also, the video producer used the simple option during setup. In Advanced, you can set your bit rate which has a big impact on file size and CPU utilization. Higher resolution output requires higher bit rates to display smoothly on YouTube or whatever video upload platform you use. I record regularly in VR at 1440p. Perhaps I could make a video on how I record in DCS.... :joystick: :book:
  9. That was awesome! :pilotfly:
  10. My JF17 curves are only 5 for both pitch and roll. For AAR, do your best to relax your grip. I consciously tell myself to relax my grip when AAR in any aircraft and flying helicopters. This technique usually helps with more precise, smaller movements.
  11. 4 months in, here is my take on the JF-17.
  12. Hi there. Thanks for adding AAR in the latest OB. However, I don't see the option to install/remove in the Ground Crew menu nor in the Mission Editor to install/remove. (I am seeing the probe attached when I spawn in.)
  13. Fantastic work, Eduardo. Really enjoying the airplane and your lessons. To the point and easy to understand.
  14. A friend of mine is unable to see my server on the multiplayer list. He has opened port 10308 TCP/UDP. He is also unable to join via direct IP. I have confirmed my server IS listed on the DCS server list with another friend that is able to join my server. I have done everything on my end- port forwarding, firewall, etc. Would anyone be able to comment why it seems I am essentially invisible to my aforementioned friend? thx
  15. If the headset in the video is in fact a G2 (prototype) and not a placeholder, it appears to not have a wide FOV. But it's speculation until the specs are released.
  16. Hmm.. FOV appears to not have been increased. :ermm:

  18. Having just migrated from the Rift S to the Reverb Pro, IMO both are the best for price/performance. It's just a matter of, will you spend $400 USD or $650? I was looking to sell my Rift S on eBay and saw people are paying full price for used sets! Is supply that low these days?
  19. Nice video. Thanks for sharing.
  20. Kegetys, thanks for the quick fix to the shaders. 2.5.6 looks great and is running butter smooth.
  21. @BlackLibrary Thanks for the mod. I don't know if this has been reported. When refueling from the KC-10, the boom does not "appear" to be connected when CONTACT is established and taking on fuel. It is a bit high and to the side. I have been able to refuel only from the F-16 so far. In the A-10, I am not able to establish comms- UHF or VHF frequencies.
  22. Nice job. Steady hand. Focused.
