  1. I've upgraded from a 3080 to a 4080S. My experience has improved a bit (at least I can now set the textures to high). Stanley runway 49-70 fps. Low level 70-80 fps. High alt 80-90 fps. There is still a bump below 900 feet but there is less stuttering now and it doesn't go below 45-48 FPS when looking sideways below 900 ft. If you try to land on a carrier, there is a very strong jerk at 900 ft. It is quite uncomfortable. There is a moment when it stuttering and you donw from 70-80 to 45-60 fps almost immediately. I still think it is a map problem, not a hardware problem
  2. Regarding the reasons for his reluctance to update his campaigns for RZ.... there's always a good excuse.
  3. My recommendation: Consider Baltic Dragon's statement with a degree of skepticism.
  4. A lot of work, then war, now money....
  5. Yes, my experience is similar. I lose approximately 15% occasionally, and is more stable than SA.
  6. I agree with your point having a plane with "no expectations" doesn´t encourage content creation (even though there are not many campaigns for RZ material). However, using Baltic Dragon as an example is not ideal, as campaigns for RZ modules have been broken or unupdated years. In the end, you will have two things broken: the module and the campaign.
  7. I'm a bit stuck on this mission. I have followed Odessa's advice but the F4s don't seem very effective at attacking SAMs and are usually shot down quickly. With no top cover, the MiGs (piloted by Skynet) rush at us. My wing-man is shot down almost instantly by the SA6s or MiGs and although I can get close to the target (skimming the treetops) and I can rarely do an attack run without being shot down by the AAA (with sniper capabilities and and nerves of steel) or the SA6s.
  8. I had no problem getting this remaster but I honestly expected a bit more from this update at the cockpit level: I wasn't thinking about more modern systems but about an improvement, even if it was "cosmetic", of the radar (I think that many of us agree on that point here), the backlighting of the RWR panel still has two positions (despite having a potentiometer), etc... The end of the community liveries has somewhat disappointing. I have over 50 missions related to the Iran-Iraq War (the first Gulf War) that now appear quite odd, and I could continue to enumerate other missions and campaigns that lack the appropriate liveries Maybe I expected something more along the lines of the A10 and K50 updates that seemed magnificent to me.
  9. Thanks for replying. It's good to know that you're working on it. So far, the campaign is very interesting and I really enjoyed it.
  10. I have progressed through the entire campaign up to this mission. The issue persists here: four manpads with superhuman abilities, along with extremely precise AAA fire. Additionally, F4 and F5 effortlessly outmaneuver the Mig 23 and exclusively target you. Our Mig21, equipped solely with rockets and lacking an AI as advanced as the enemy's, becomes an easy target. The manpads seem to be the major issue; even set to a low skill level, they are exceedingly precise in DCS. Probably in this mision they are surely experts.
  11. Mission "Point Noir" C6U mod. MiG21_C_6U.miz
  12. I would really appreciate it because neither of them (baltic_dragon/RB) take responsibility for it, and it is up to us, the users, to "solve" the problems of this campaign (and several others such as the Mig21).
  13. I forgot to mention some details: To successfully attack the refinery (09N): At least two bombs must hit the refinery, causing more than 20% damage (the building damage model appears to be broken so you only need to do a >20% damage to destroy this) and at least half of the transport vehicles must be destroyed. I've incorporated an "easter egg" to add complexity to the refinery search, which simply requires attentiveness. The ECM mission (03) was less damaged. You just have to fly correctly between the different WPs and connect the ECMs at the right time as indicated in the mission. I have flown the fourth mission against the KA-50. It seems that there is also a problem. I will try to rewrite it in the next few days. It´s OK but unlike the enemy IA, some time our alied IA is like.
  14. Please check; it seems to work. 03 EMC 09N Refinery raid MiG21_C_3U.miz MiG21_C_9N.miz
  15. Yesterday, I resolved the issues with the two original missions in just 20 minutes. Today, I will test them and if all is well, I will post them in this thread.
  16. I'm flying this campaign right now and I'm running into the same issues: refinery raid and the EMC cover... In both, I meet the objectives 100% but they appear as unsuccessful Just about a year after the last post, MG3 hasn't been able to make a small update to it... Like MiG 19, abandonware.
  17. Correct, Yefim Gordon's book on the Mig23/27 details that the pilot was limited to three settings and the mechanism, which was quite basic (compared to the Tomcat/Tornado), could only be operated within a limited G-force, specifically a maximum of 4 G's if my memory serves correctly. Should you have a keen interest, I can provide all the details regarding the mechanism here.
  18. Sorry, a quick note, and please don't misunderstand; that there are missions/campaigns from RB planes (reportedly created by BD) that have been malfunctioning for years. You can continue with the discussion, thanks
  19. It has been some time since I last flew the MiG-19. Today, I observed that once airborne, the engine's ignition sequence sound repeats continuously in approximately 20-second loops (throttle at full). @BIGNEWY I'm uncertain about the current support for RZ modules, (they previously lacked substantial backing to be honets...). Could you report this issue to the ED team please? It seems like it's not a difficult bug to resolve. Thanks
  20. The VRAM "correction" (in my case) has not corrected anything.
  21. Yes, the same for me. I thought that VRAM optimization would positively affect performance, in fact Bignewy announced this as a radical improvement for VR (or so I understood it)... but no, in my case it has not been like that either. Essentially, I must maintain the same low settings for two or three updates. I can maintain 45-80 FPS on land and at a very low altitude but I suffer constant stuttering, FPS drops, etc. with textures at medium. I would like for an explanation to be provided to the community regarding the nature of this VRAM optimization and the reason why DCS still utilizes the full 10GB of VRAM on my card without any noticeable improvement. Additionally, I have observed multiple videos from users that display the VRAM usage before and after the update, which appears to be unchanged.
  22. Yes, yes, but normally it would work without a restarting.
