Su-25t Condensed and Bound Manual & KeyCommands!
ZoomBoy27 replied to AStotzer's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Excellent to hear especially when I'm charging forward and spot an Avenger or Strela. I'll change my guide. -
Su25T Campaign/MissionPack - Adler Secured
ZoomBoy27 posted a topic in User Created Missions General
Su25T Campaign and MissionPack is available. For Flaming Cliffs 1.1 You fly as Russian defenders versus the Allies(USA, Turkey, Georgia). The Russians are driving the Allied Expeditionary Force(AEF) back down the Coast to gain back control of the coast of the Black Sea. The hot aces of Ukraine, the Buba Boys, will defend you in the air. The AEF, as part of operations in the Central Asia, is trying to gain control of the area west of Georgia. Thanks to Pat01 for his "Extract Missions from Campaigns" program. Unzip the missions into \Missions folder and the campaign into the \Campaigns Folder You can download the Campaign at these sites: Download @ LOMACFiles View @ Combat Aces You can download the MissionPack here: Download here @ LOMACFiles Enjoy! -
Su-25t Condensed and Bound Manual & KeyCommands!
ZoomBoy27 replied to AStotzer's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I got that information from this Thread here. The indicator light does light up anyway(page 45 of Manual Item #21) but for final effectiveness, I've never tested it. -
Su-25t Condensed and Bound Manual & KeyCommands!

Excellent work!! :icon_pray Double-sided has always been a good way to convert crazy-size into reasonable-size documents. -
You'll be wiping out an army base in a mountain pass. Targets are a variety of new buildings and structures that recently came out with the Flaming Cliffs add-on. Based on a mission in "Hold Back the AEF" campaign. Download here at my Mission Page Enjoy! PS almost finished another Su25T campaign - 10 missions

I searched in the editor but couldn't find a Turkish Grenader in either Ground vehicles or Static Objects. Where abouts did you find this? and we want more :D :D
-
I also use fog to totally blanket the ground. Very good for fighters but if the fog covers a ground target, an inky-black impossibility for ground attacking planes.

SHIFT-V does not decrease the Bombing interval switch in the Su-25T. Seems functional in the A-10. I just cycle through the intervals with V

FC CD and StarForce protection issues. ED ?
ZoomBoy27 replied to SimFan's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Re: CD burning software Some people have reported problems with CD burner software. But they were solved by re-installing the CD burner software. No one in the Lockon community has been stalled for long with that problem. -
For very tight turns, i build up speed, Lower flaps all the way, and use the rudder like I've never used it before. The only problem I have is that then tend to be too close to a target especially if I'm using missiles - cannons are much easier to get on target though. I need more patience.

Is that the flux capacitor that needs 1.21 gigawatts of electrical power? Great Scott!

Glad to hear this type of work is being done. Someone in a SimHQ had said they wanted more co-ops. If acceptable to you, upload them to LOMACfiles, Combat Aces and others so we can share the fun. As for CommandPost, you can swap in whatever payload you need. I had based the Su-25T missionpack on Version 1.02 where you can swap in different payloads so there's nothing sacred about particular payloads.

I think what he's talking about is the ones where the mission has been tested/designed badly. Either it's too hard or the mission goals are messed up. For example, su-25t_campaign(that came with FC1.1) - Mission 2 had the player attacking with his Heavy rockets 2 angry frigates AND ALSO 2 SU-25s hiding in the fog right next to the frigates. The frigates might be doable but including invisible Su25s makes it nearly impossible.

There is a way around that for flying a mission again. Load it in the Editor, use the password and you can fly any mission again. For getting completely stuck, you'd have to edit the Mission Goals. Delete them and just have one Mission Goal of you surviving. See the LO FC Quick Start Manual 1.1 page 88. Also complain to the campaign builder. In my latest campaign I had a show-stopper bug in the 7th mission and I did 2 things - 1) fixed the campaign and uploaded it again 2) set up a separate mini-version of the campaign from mission 7 onward by deleting Missions 1-6.

I had been reading Air Forces Monthly and they had an article that mentioned anti-ship methods. SEAD first to destroy the SAMs. Then anti-ship missiles to destroy the Upper deck and then Bombers to pierce the hull and finally sink it. I was targeting an Oliver Perry with Kh-58s and couldn't seem to wipe out the SAMs until the ship was sunk. Are there no sub-systems damages on a ship?

I'm currently nearing the completion on another campaign and with Pat01's Extract Missions from Campaign Utility, I can convert that campaign into a Missionpack. When I upload it, is your preference Campaign or Missionpack or both? What problems do you have with Campaigns? What problems do you have with Missionpacks? Your thoughts. NOTE: my campaigns/missionpacks do contain the password.

Are you keeping your wings parallel to the ground? And are you pitched downward at the target? It often happens that the laser designator swims about when it reaches the bottom of the HUD.

When I flew the Instant mission, the buildings faded into view. I don't know about the effect of fog. EDIT: Re-flew it with fog and the pop-up is dramatic with ships but with buildings and structures you get a dimmed view of the building which seems to be the optimal pattern. One thing I did note was, that as I moved closer, the popped-up ship first was clear, then dimmed, and then clear again as I was very, very close. Optimally, it should have three stages: quite dim, dim enough but seen, clear.

I don't see any thing wrong with the use of Z/X in either my original Su25T or one that I've jumped into. The wheel rotates slower if the plane is sitting on the runway. I've also mapped my twisty handled joystick onto the Rotator axis and have no problems there.

Campaign Difficulty Settings-->So annoying
ZoomBoy27 replied to ApolloFarStriker's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
If you DO NOT HAVE the password, you can get around that by RE-CLASSIFYING the mission. Ignore the greyed-out De-Classify. Use the secret key short-cut CTRL_SHIFT-C, which will bring up a popup window that asks for a new password and then to confirm it by entering it again in the 2nd field. Most people use>> eagle Now that you've set the new password - DE-classify the mission Look on the Edit Menu or CTRL-SHIFT D for the Declassify option. Enter the new password and then change the Options on the options screen. And then Classify the mission again and save it. -
Look in the C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Eagle Dynamics\Lock On\Doc Folder. The document is keycommands.doc I've made a short-cut to it on my desktop as well as for the Manual The Manual is one of the best I've seen. And if you got other questions, also check the LO FC Quick Start Manual 1.1. It answers a lot of questions for the the Fast Battle Planner and the Mission Editor.

OT: The "why-do-you-have-that-nick-tread"!
ZoomBoy27 replied to Pilotasso's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
ZoomBoy stems from a RL nickname of Zoomie. I was sitting in Mr. Hunter's Geography class in Grade 12 and Rick, class clown, was sitting in front of me. When the teacher was gone, he turned to me one day and said, "Hey, you need a nick-name. And it shall be Zoomie." I don't know his source but I'd guess, as we lived near an enginering army base, sappers would have nicknames for people who were different. Zoomie is possibly space-cadet type of moniker - though I'm a serious type person. I modified it on-line to be more punchier. The 27 comes from the 27th VFW that I was with when I flew LongBow2. They were a bunch of drama queens who were always talked about honour, commitment, etc. but they were mainly squabbling. :icon_roll But sometimes I say I had to kill the previous 26 Zoomboys  -
Mission Design utilities for FC 1.1
ZoomBoy27 replied to Pat01's topic in User Created Missions General
I've tested both the Extraction and Campaign maker. 27 Missions(after renaming them 1.2.3.4.5..etc.) went into a campaign and on the 4th file I got an informative message about a problem loadout. I also extracted 9 missions from a campaign I'd made. Again excellent work One bemol is the need to use "Quit" rather than the X button. Are you using MFC because they have OnCancel and OnClose functions? -
