  1. My AI wingy is usually announcing SAM and AAA threats How would I get them to show up in my TADS? When would he transfer them to me by datatlink? Does he actually transmit their locations to me?
  2. Do you mean the Black Shark Virtual Panel? as per http://3dvrm.com/bsvp/ ? There is a feature "Network connection to simulator (BSVP can work from same PC with sim, or from other PC in the network)" This looks like the instructions are to use it through a network Please also check the BSVP Thread and the Network Thread Thank you for asking this question I had to Google "BSVP" but this is a good thing
  3. Check out the Reconnaissance functions on the Comms Menu Back-slash \ to bring up the Menu F2 - to choose the Wingman F6 and then a distance to send him - to have him move forward (even 1km) and Recce Scan and give you the target information in your Datalink. You need to be in the direction you are going to be sending him. You see him as a red circle on your ABRIS Then you'll receive the targets with the Datalink Panel(on the Overhead Panel) - hit the Send/Mem button to store it - they'll show up on the ABRIS Did it last night - and then sent him after the target
  4. Try the BlackShark Rookie thread Especially the section that says
  5. One of the general steps is to give Administration rights to the icon/game As Black Shark is installed into the \Program Files (x86) section, Adminstration rights are always an issue
  6. I didn't seem to notice but I did just get a new video vard XFX Radeon HD 6870 900MHZ 1GB :pilotfly: If you've got Modman, you can uninstall easily enough.
  7. I made a blog entry about my mods - My Black Shark Mods I liked Ricardo's HD cockpit very much but found DCS BS Replacement Structure Texturepack v5.0 by mustang to add very much to the game I'll take a look at the Chat resize and reposition mod - but I do mainly single-player flying
  8. It seems to be a very dumb bomb system From Page 337 That's the original release - I can test if the intervals change with flipping switches
  9. 4GB memory - Sufficent Ati HD4850 - I have a HD 4870x2 and only at High settings(1900x1080) were there any lags. And those happened only when new stuff popped-up. Start at Medium Settings and then start adding stuff. Windows 7 32BIT installed on it - there is a 32 bit version that comes with DCS: A-10C
  10. I have a new head-set that is behind the ears. My older set fit under the hat I usually wear.
  11. Take a look at my Blog Entry about Kh-25ML - the standby switch is the Laser switch - directly below the HSI - Yes, you can range find without designating. Do it before you switch on the Laser Designator - The Laser Ranging itself only goes to 15km in normal usage - I've frequently have done it from 11 to 13 km. To do that you have to hit [A] to switch the Weapon system control switch from Manual to Auto. That over-rides the usual range limits on missiles. Never tried it from 20km or so - might be worth setting up a ship off-shore in a mission to test it.
  12. Teeps: I just went to the Main Developers Page - http://www.leroni.net/ - and it was OK And I took a look at their e-store http://www.leroni.net/shop_eng.html - and it was OK I recently reviewed the Campaign - in a blog entry FWIW
  13. does the same thing happen when you fly a mission with a Mid-Air start - Like the Quick Action?
  14. Spetz - I just have one throttle for the Collective - how can you have two?
  15. Remember that version 1.0 has the functioning training tracks It is best to do those tracks first Also take a look at the Sticky Threads DIRECTORY - especially the Producer Notes Compilation and the Wiki Welcome to the forums
  16. I wondered if there were Specularity or Reflectance Maps in the Ka-50 PSD files as layer? In starting a Ka-50 skin in my Skinning Article, I was analyzing the files. A lot of graphics engines(mainly shooters) have these Specularity or Reflectance Maps for real-time reflectances. To have it on all vehicles would be crushing to Frames Per Second but mabe for the main vehicle
  17. I tried it with Notepad but the formatting seems to be off - it`s all one big line when I open up me_map_window.lua What tool do you use? Nice work !!
  18. Terrific! - Hadn't realized the interface was editable. That gets to the root of the problem. If EDIT button is not functional yet with your mod, it looks like you'd have to switch between the original and modded. Would that require a exit of the game itself or just entering and exiting the Mission Editor? Great work! Rep inbound
  19. Was aware of it for the standard satellite set-up - Never use it at all But for reason of "atmosphere" it is fun to include in missions But I've seen some thread discussions saying that you can reduce the # of satellites and that does cause some error I'll have to dig to reference them - getting late now though - not confirmed as yet
  20. You are going to have to unzip the miz file and edit the mission file in Notepad and add the INU Fix-points Check out my work-around in my blog-entry about this - You'll have to high-light the Code as the background is Blue Back to the Bug - The bug is in the Mission Editor Interface not allowing you to ADD points - once the code is in the mission.file, you can edit the INU Fix-points to your heart's contents
  21. If the mission already has INU Fix-points, you can edit those. Copy over a standard game. The problem is with the Mission Editor interface - it cannot ADD points I was able to insert some INU FixPoints into a mission by cutting and pasting some Code from standard missions. See my blog-post. I added a section as follows: INUFixPoints = { ** fixpoints details** }, -- end of INUFixPoints
  22. Thomas Weiss of Lockonfiles invited some people to start blogs at his web-site - LockonFiles Blogs So I`ve started one - Sims and Things - mainly concerned with the DCS Black Shark but, of course, I won`t be limited to that subject. If you`re in this forum, all should know lockonfiles.com See you there.
  23. Also might want to try the Flight Director[R.CTRL + A] It helps with tight turns but remember to keep your speed lower
  24. Oops, I was thinking about the on-line fast-movers - I got splashed by one the other night
