In the next version of the Editor, I wish they'd add +/- button to allow a range of values for the Waypoints.

Why not do a full re-install? And try the Lock On v.1.1: Flaming Cliffs Activation Store Utility @ bottom of page. A LockOn_Save_Registry utility saves your "Lock On v.1.1: Flaming Cliffs" activation in registry file in case if you find it necessary to reinstall "Lock On v.1.1: Flaming Cliffs" (if it was damaged or you need to reinstall Windows ї for example). To restore the "Lock On v.1.1: Flaming Cliffs" activation after reinstall run the saved registry file before starting the "Lock On v.1.1: Flaming Cliffs". This should be under Tech Discussion not Missions/Campaign but I did my best.

What I usually do is place an Igla Unit from my side as a Scout or Forward Observation report. As a designer it gives you the idea of where the front line would be and what is viewable. And in the Mission Briefing, I have the "Scout" unit "report" back what it sees. So you have a good idea what's reasonable to see. You can take a look at that with a sample briefing for a mission called Ridge HQ You can leave comments and reviews if you want to. I'm working on a campaign, called "Follow Through", with briefing movies between each mission. I should have the missions play-tested by this week-end but I'll have to re-make a movie or two(including "Ridge HQ"). So it'll be done when it's done.

D'oh! Forgot the obvious.

2 ways From scratch From the Main Menu, click on EDIT On the left middle section is a button that says CAMP - Click on it. The Upper Right area next to TITLE can be filled with the Campaign name In the centre there's some boxes/switches - Stage 1 of 1 To add another mission to the campaign - Click on the right-most switch of Stage 1 of 1 . It'll change to Stage 2 of 2 To change the name of each mission - click on the tiny yellow box and change the NoName down below. To set the sides just select the Coalitions button Keep clicking things to learn the rest. Save. String some missions together Build some Missions Download the Create Campaigns from Files Utility Read the "ReadMe" file Compile all your missions into a campaign usually called "Missions.cmp" Edit the Campaign inside Lockon to clean it up. Save As... Check out the LO FC Quick Start Manual 1.1 in C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Eagle Dynamics\Lock On\Doc for starting Mission Editing.

I've never heard of this issue before - is it a priority? How often does it come up?

There are 2 ways I use dummy objects for mission completion 1) I sometimes place a dummy static object directly behind a building. The OpFor has it as a target and usually has to arrive at the site in the village. If they do not destroy it, then even if they survive, their mission still might not be completed. 2) My own land forces have to arrive at a point to destroy a dummy enemy object. They might survive the mission but not reach the target(blocked by a bridge being destroyed etc.) or not have enough fire power left to "hold" the position. I've flown a number of missions which required mission completion by land forces but I didn't know the results until I arrived back at base.

Actually I found that the A-10 A2G missions ported over quite well with some tweaking(adding a bit more air cover, adjusting times). On the A2A stuff I would fully agree.

If the Editor is changed for BS, My concern would be that it was compatible with the older missions. I don't mean the SAM ranges or AI but simply they'd be able to load. Don't break my Su-25T missions

And another competitor for BS...

It's called instrument flying hehe -
So... what else you guys play besides lockon?
ZoomBoy27 replied to Pilotasso's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Fear and Fear Expansion Pack - a bit on-line Prey on-line "The Movies" a lot(that includes a lot of tools-PSP, DDS converter, Audacity, TrueSpace) Bejeweled Deluxe Never Winter Nights 2 Oblivion(not recently) I will start Company of Heroes when I finish my latest movie -
Any particular plane you're flying? For the Padlock you need to be in the proper A2A and A2G modes Hitting 7 switches you to Air-to-Ground Mode and NumDelete(.) will ground-fix your padlock Hitting 2-6 switches you to Air-to-Air Modes but you have to be in visual. My guides might have something.

Also take a look at the goodies at Lockon Files mission, campaigns, Mods and much more. More than enough 1.02 stuff for now.

targeting diamond and possible targeting box
ZoomBoy27 replied to striker77's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Like EvilBivol-1, I prefer diamond-targeting for the stationary targets and general area for moving vehicles. -
How Does ED Turn a Profit...or Do They?
ZoomBoy27 replied to ericinexile's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
2 other factors are: - the Russian Market where they can sell lots more copies because the interest is very much higher - Any western sales they get, the hard currency goes about 7 times further -
Try the largest height you can get.

I've learned how to place briefing movies into a campaign. You can see what type by looking at this Briefing Movie page. You can also rate it as well so I can buy a stagecoach hehe Each briefing will be about 20 MB long(5 minutes) when done so I'm looking at a 10 mission campaign. But back to my problem: But inside the Lockon player, the sound stops a few minutes into playing. Outside of Lockon the movie plays fully. I currently use SUPER© to transform my .WMV movie to AVI, XviD, PCM 16bit(little-endian). DivX doesn't seem to work at all even though others say it does inside of Lockon. Anyone have a list of video tools (preferably freeware)that'll I can test that will give me an AVI in DixX or XviD with different Audio codes whose sound does not cut out inside Lockon.

Tornadoes in Lockon!!!!! take a look at this
ZoomBoy27 replied to graywo1fg's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
As helicopters are going to be a big part of Black Shark(duh), the devs should take note of this. graywolf, what sort of settings and machine do you have? -
On the New Year's weekend I was watching a full day's worth of Mayday on the Discovery Canada channel. There was one case were a BA plane had the window pop outward. The captain got sucked out of the front left windscreen. The only thing holding him in was his feet getting stuck on the flying column. Which drove the plane downwards as the co-pilot fought to get the plane below 10,000 feet(oxygen). They thought the captain was dead but they couldn't let the captain go because his body would have flown into one of the engines. --- after some googling --- A full 1st-person account is linked here. That was the most riveting show ever.

With buttons and lights above the window, it looks like a real cockpit you'd see in a jet-liner. At night to buildings have lights already ? Looks like the self-shadowing has improved.

On this Movie Page is a demo for Lockon to show the Briefing Movie of a campaign. It does have titles at the beginning and end that will not be in the final Lockon campaign. It will also be much larger in-game during a campaign. This shows the use of overlays and the utility of "The Movies" Haven't figured out yet how to get the movie(what format and codec) into Lockon campaigns but it's a start. Need help with that. Anyone have movies that work in campaigns? What format+codec is used? I've completed a second briefing but don't want to go any further until I can get it to work in Lockon. How incorect is the soviet uniform?

I've got a DivX formatted .MP4 file for the Initial briefing (12MB, 720x480) When does it play - When I hit Fly? Do I need to do it from the CAMP or can I just use the OPEN menu? Anything special I need to add to the campaign? =========== It's really cool watching the commander lip-sync the briefing. Used the follwing for the Intro Briefing "The Movies" - for the creation and editing of the movie TrueSpace - for the creation of the Briefing Room Backdrop Paintshop Pro - for labelling and marking the maps and backdrop Audacity - for recording and editing the briefing DDS Converter 2 - for converting briefing maps and Backdrops to .dds SUPER - to convert .wmv to .MP4(DivX)

[edit] for some reason it timed-out on me.[/edit] Is it possible to add movies to a campaign? For example, at the start of the campaign, the player is briefed on the theatre in an AVI. And before each mission he is briefed on the upcoming mission. I've being playing around with "The Movies" for a while and you can create a briefing using a digital actor. He can lip-sync to whatever you speak and you can have maps in the background and in the front as well. There's a set of military uniforms as well including Soviet. Here's a OT sample movie that I've made. Doesn't show the lipsyncing well. You can also render it much larger as well. I'm working on a briefing movie. Just need to get some background stuff and do the sound.
