  1. The animation effect is still wrong when autorotating, but you know what?: i want neither hurt you nor convince you but "it is indeed a bug", as you draw up on the first try. Regards
  2. Believe me, I understand it, and i know how flapping reduces blade AOA :smilewink: What you can see on the screenshots that's modded flight model, ... for showing more visible how the blade AOA changes on lower rotor and on the upper rotor. The helicopter is in stable hovering but in rapid left yaw-turn. Zero speed, no altitude changes. I changed/increased the GeneralPitch and the DifferentPitch values. The flight model is able to follow the changes but the blade AOA rotation animations are not. (i did not changed the animations, that's the stock model) With those increased GeneralPitch and the DifferentPitch values clearly visible when player make yaw-turns then all 6 blades AOA animation rotates into the wrong directions.
  3. Sorry Darrell but blades work same under power. (and not reversed without power) Both screenshots show left yaw-turn. First one is focusing on the angles of upper blades, other focusing on the lower blades. You can see the raised upper blades/rotor disc/increased coning, but all upper blades show low collective pitch. By contrast on the second pic the lower blades show lowered rotor disc/decreased coning but all blades are on high collective pitch/angle. Blade tip lights show it also.
  4. Sorry Outlawal but ShuRugal and Sobek is right. Let me explain in a very simple way. The upper, CW rotating rotor blades can rotate the helicopter (only) left. To the left, when the upper blades get higher angles (AOA) than lower blades. Then the upper CW blades have more drag therefore these will/want "slow down" in the air (while these create more lift) but the torque effect wants to rotate the airframe to the opposite direction: counter-clockwise as a left yaw-turn. (because the CW rotating blades "turn slower" now). Fortunately the rotor flight model is correct. In a left yaw-turn all the upper blades are raised bacause of the higher AOA and drag. In a right yaw-turn all the lower blades are raised. So "only" the increased/decreased blade pitch programming (plus&minus AOA behaviour) is wrong what connected to blade animation rotation (each blade) when a pedal yaw input applied.
  5. Old ? Don't worry :) I feel experienced :D Psion Flight Simulation on Sinclair ZX Spectrum (1982) :joystick:
  6. :D yeah, it's funny coz nobody hurt, fortunately "After talking to the Captain at the O'Club later that night, I realized I better could have briefed elements of the flight. Though I covered all of the details, I didn't fully consider his perspective. He said he didn't know where to put his hands. :) Consequently, he just left them in loosely clenched fists on his lap, about two inches away from the ejection handle. It never occurred to me that someone would not know what to do with his hands. Obviously, I fly with the stick and throttle in my hands 95 percent of the flight, but I failed to consider his situation"
  7. Here is the story about BNo: 164341, F-14D (from home of M.A.T.S) On Nov. 6, 2002 this F-14 took off from Fallon Naval Air Station with a VIP in the back seat - a naval officer from the cruiser Anzio who was on what the military calls a "FAM Hop," or familiarization ride. In flight, when the pilot pulled a "negative 1g," the gravity force moved the officer nearly off his seat. He reached down to reposition himself and accidentally pulled the ejection lever. The cockpit canopy flew off and out went the VIP. The ejection system automatically opened the VIP's parachute. He landed safely in the Nevada desert and waited for his rescue. The F-14 returned to base. dumping out the fuel:
  8. Fine, exactly what I was thinking. Thank You again.
  9. Thanks Paul  and what about the Dutch KC-10A ? got the same form light color ? BTW: this image confused me - looks form light is turned on (probably reflection only) but yellowish
  10. Hi guys, I need some help: What color is the formation lights on the KC-10A Extender when the light is turned on IRL ? Yellowish or the usual aviation green/cyan ? Unfortunately i could not find any video/image on the NET with KC-10s formation lights on :( Thank You
  11. 1. You can easily adjust/edit that in PlaneConst.lua as a vector ;) 2. I agree but we need more chaff types as well and a new chaff model also what is one of the oldest model in DCSW (from Flanker2) :D
  12. There was in the past (DCS-WH 1.0.0.7 - 1.0.0.9 not only with A-10C images) a lua mod by Ducky but unfortunately he lost his datas and the ME-GUI has been changed since that moreover (a current mod needs new lua words, however I am pretty sure it would not be difficult) http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1363554#post1363554
  13. Do not worry, we will get a better and nicer flare in DCSW also. Smoke trail needs to get wider/dense, flare model needs to get smaller and long-drawn-flight directional on the longitudinal axis. Not a big thing/deal. :)
  14. I saw them, very nice job Flanker ! Only one thing: would be nice to remove dark weathered surfaces on the texture (all su-27 and su-33 textures) at/around pylons, or add a new layer without it for the wings/fuselage where we can remove pylons (officially at last). Official 1.2.12 textures, official 1.2.12 model but without wing and fuselage pylons (first one is the Air Force Standard skin) and my earlier (unofficial) modified model with modified textures http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2072069#post2072069
  15. True  My mistake http://alloysurfaces.com/Download.aspx?ResourceId=42887 http://alloysurfaces.com/Download.aspx?ResourceId=42888 http://www.chemring.co.uk/~/media/Files/C/Chemring-V2/PDFs/sector-brochure-countermeasures-web-1111.pdf
  16. There are not two types of flares. The redish, darker but sparkling things are chaffs (00:48, 00:57, 01:06, 01:29, 01:45, 01:56) First they are pumping out flares and after chaffs. Mostly visible at 01:56 We can see the exploding charges creating whirling foil clouds. Great video
  17. My nomination goes to beczl
  18. Of course you and Lilkiki get my green lights, so just go ahead guys, good job
  19. Here it goes, cheers Folks Use farp-hill.dds files from proper season folders \Bazar\Terrain\vfstextures\LandTextures -"season"- Other Unrar the file to your DCS main folder Disjoint Farp-Hill texture mod.rar (7.77MB) https://www.sendspace.com/file/gg1d61 use this bar: Click here to start download from sendspace Will be uploaded later to DCS - User Files
