Hi, Just thought I'd share my story. On the way back, we get to Arco, I have around 2500 lbs of fuel left. For some reason, I could not contact the tanker (could be vaicom-related, although in previous mission I did not have an issue contacting the tanker). Gave up, figured I'll just divert. Checking Tacan, Tonopah over a 100 miles away.. Nellis was actually closer at around 90 nm, so decided to try to make it. It looked like quite a bit of a stretch. While gliding home, looked up bailout and ejection zones. Was set up for it ready to send it. I got to the primary ejection zone which is around 15 nm from Nellis. Still had some juice since I've been gliding at like 250 knots from 30 000ft. Nellis is only 14 nm now, and still have around 500 lbs left.. Continued at the recommended glide speed of 215 after jettisoning everything I had left on. Made it straight in to Nellis. Made it to the parking spot with around 200 lbs, checklists all went well and got the debrief chalkboard. That was quite the sortie! Needless to say I failed the fuel management part. Not sure why the radio didn't work this time. Tried channel 14 with Jester in Command, then tried channel 14 on the front radio with me in command. Arco wouldn't respond. Maybe the chief who put the new radio in needs to be grounded Now gotta refly it to hit the target actually!

It worked this time as intended. I wonder if initially it didn't work as I had input some data into the bombing table early on in the mission. The mission was very fun. I'm having real difficulty getting to the target though. The SA-6 launches like 4 missiles at me out of which I can dodge 2. This happens all before getting to the target, and with dodging my ToT is all messed up. Looking at the Tacview, the Monkey Tornado flight takes out the SA-6, but only after my flight's ToT. Is that the planned timeline? I wonder how I could make it to the target. Jinking didn't help xD

Hi, In mission 3 as commander, am I supposed to switch to channels 16 or 17 myself? I had the command with Jester and the comms didn't fire on my first try. I was already on my way back, trying to pick up the mission comms. Switched to channel 16 and 17 and then Jester started complimenting me on my accomplishment of becoming mission commander. This was supposed to fire off before ingress I think. The last message in the message history was Pepsi going to Tac comms I think. I had the usual radio setup of Channel 1 and 1 on the front with Jester command of Radio, and didn't see a prompt otherwise. But I'd understand if as commander I'm supposed to do it by myself BTW, I ate all SAMs in this one. Not sure if the enemy even had any left.

Hi, Completed mission 02. Getting navigation right was very fun and satisfying. On my return, the chalkboard said that I had messed up the procedures (i'm thinking it might be a hard deck violation?), and granted me 80%. The mission score in the menu shows 100% though. Just wanted to check in if the two are correlated or DCS just scores based on mission completion? Thanks

The start-up checklist is done by yourself based on your kneeboard, there are no prompts for it. Comms will continue if you have started up the engines, let Jester do a full INS alignment, and make sure you have the radio command set to Jester. Hope that helps!

I got lucky with Smokey SAMs for sure, probably due to the randomization. I used Direct mode as directed by Jester, and put some numbers into the bombing table. Told Jester to recognize them, although I’m not sure he did. But it worked out for me

Hi, Mission 01 - I looked around my plane, and all the members of my flight were wearing the same livery, with captain Macallister printed on them. all had printed 297 board number as well. When I look into my Campaigns folder, livery folder, it seems like the ones in the F4 folder are zipped and I cannot extract them with windows 11. Could that be the reason I did not see the liveries on the other phantoms in the flight?

Hi, I went into this mission ready to suck, and to refly later. Studied the materials, but haven't flown the F4 in a while let alone drop a bomb on target. I was so immersed and focused, got a 100% on first try. As Reflected was saying, getting ToT right IS very satisfying. On the way back I didn't have enough fuel left to get home, so decided to tank. As the tanker was getting close very slowly, I was looking at my fuel tanks deplete by the hundreds. Again, I hadn't done refueling in a while, and I knew that I wouldn't have a chance to mess around, have to plug. I managed to plug quickly luckily with a couple hundred pounds of fuel left, only disconnected once, and in the end survived the flight and made it home with enough fuel. Proud of the score, and I know I'll be a much much better virtual pilot by the end of this campaign Thanks for making such immersive and satisfying campaigns, we can tell how much effort went into it!

I was able to refuel. Disconnected once, closed and opened the AR door, then there was an automatic call for 'ready pre-contact' and was able to plug in and refuel. I wonder if you have to get away a bit from the plane for the automatic call to be made

You are right, it is the Fam mission, so I edited the title. And I see! Just checked Tacview, they did taxi, I was just looking at the one next to me, the wrong one. Thanks for the help! -
Hi, Sorry for not having a message history, I just saw that I will need one. It's a pretty simple recap though: flight lead checks us in on ground, and they get taxi clearance. They confirm the taxi clearance, but they never taxi. I'm tuned to channel 1 on both radios on the front, Jester has control of both COMMS and NAV. The soldier is still in front of their plane. I waited for a bit, nothing happened. Then I started taxiing, the taxi checklist kicked in, but the flight still wouldn't move. I exited here. The only unofficial mod I'm running is Vaicom, of which I won't be able to get rid of , being in VR. However, since the rest of the radio messages worked, I hope that's not the issue. Any ideas? I will get a message history next time I try it. I had the wheel chocks removed before the taxi clearance, in case that matters (but after INS alignment was done). Thanks

I was using the F10 menu, I guess I just didn’t find them on the radar. Will give it another try, good to hear there are no special settings. Thanks for the reply!

Hi, Loving the campaign so far! I expect a lot of learning in this one Could someone help me what settings are best for detecting those cruise missiles on the radar? I have my correct ROCK set, and generally looking in the right direction and altitude range, but I couldn't see any hits on the radar. Tried Interleaved PRF, Hi and Med. Tried SPOT mode, RWS or TWS. I'd appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction or section of the manual. Thanks!

Thanks for this work! Just letting you know that I’m having an issue with the graphics preset editor. Currently I can only run DCS when the MT switch is off (even though it runs DCS in MT). This however prevents me from setting DLSS in the graphics preset editor. Not sure if you are aware, just thought would let you know!

Hi, I have a similar setup. Using SimRacingStudio though with witmotion sensor for MC. I had the issue a couple of times. When I activated MC, DCS crashed. This also happened to me when I decided to give Pimax Play implementation of Quadviews a try. I submitted the log file to BuzzteeBear. He asked me to reproduce the issue while also creating a trace file. Just as I was about to do that, DCS no longer crashed. Ever since it’s been working with no changes other than windows restart. couple Of things I was trying out : having the headset on before DCS loads into VR (just to make sure the center position is recorded and not too off). Also tried to recenter the headset before activating MC by holding the Pimax button. I don’t know if any of those did anything but I haven’t had the issue since. Also recalibrated the room settings in the headset. If your issue persists I would recommend reaching out to BuzzteeBear on his Discord, he is very helpful. Keep me posted! in fact, let’s connect on Discord since our setup is pretty niche and any help is good! -

Hi, I’d like to thank you again for making our VR dreams come closer to reality with your Quadviews implementation. It blows my mind and frustrates me that game developers are still not catching on. Releasing new MSFS, or even ACEvo without this kind of support for high-end VR users. I also appreciate ED and DCS for having this kind of compatibility. I know you have stopped working on this. But is there a way where we can still thank you for your developments? Looking for a way to donate. thank you again! -

PimaxXR has not worked for me in any sim yet (DCS - black screen or ACEvo - view rotated 180 degrees). I’ve always had to return to mbucchia’s Pimax OpenXR -
I tried DLSS 4 preset K on my crystal. I’m still getting frame drops out of nowhere, starting to think it’s CPU limitation. Instant action F14A Caucasus case I recovery with super carrier. Getting 72 FPS that starts fluctuating to 50 closer to the boat. Maybe I should try preset J

I have noticed the same on Case I recoveries. Tried F14A quick mission Caucasus super carrier Case I landing. Also tried on Persian Gulf map - Case I super carrier F14A. The IFLOLS didn’t turn on at all. ILS was my only guide which seemed to work
