A couple of examples how airplanes look like on my 27" 2560x1440 monitor at different distance [km] (FOV 97.5 deg, MSAA x 4). FW190: and Ju88: As we can see, there is a dependence of visibility range and size of airplane. It's perfect! Thank you, ED. Perhaps, it would be better to have a little more bigger difference... What raise questions: 1) As for FW190, at 2 km I see additional dot to current LOD. And it's looks like stable until at least 5 km. 2) from 2 to more then 8 km I see no changes in DOT (size, color, contrast, transparency). For Ju88 it some where between 3 and more them 10 km. 3) More contrast DOT visible much better at greater distance them more closer LOD. It's sad... Was it reasonable to integrate it in "LOD Switch Factor" ?

As for the visibility of contacts, this is a very old game that all players of military flight simulators have been playing on forums since ancient times... I know, there are statistical data for detection ranges of WWII aircraft. These are generally very different from the current DCS values. Typical aircraft detection ranges in nautical miles: fighter - 3.5, bomber - 6.0 You need to understand that visual perception is a very complex thing. Only one example: at a considerable distance we can see very thin, but very long wires (this, by the way, explains why a formation of aircraft is visible well and far away, compared to a single aircraft), and not notice the “spot” sparrows at the same distance... It would be reasonable if ED did something like 10 km for everyone, and so that there wouldn’t be these fat flies that appear at 2 km in the form of either black dots or white ones against the background of clouds... But we have a very different planes - from I-16 to B-52... Logic and realism sey that visibility distance must be different - from 6.5 to 32 km...

It would be easier for advise if you share your current settings. I have 9600K (4.9 MHz for all nodes)+ rtx3070+ 32gb ram+ 2560x1440 monitor and use 4xMSAA, medium Water, Hi textures and shadows, Very Hi visibility and so on... and I have more then 60 FPS (usally 70-90) (monitor with G-Sync lets me ignore small FPS drops) And I set "Low latency mode" to Ultra in NVCP. It looks like you have a average FPS closer to 99% one... But it's only my IMHO.

Теперь (2.9) начиная с 2 (примерно) км коны превращаются в чОрные жЫрные точки... Еще и на фоне неба выделяются пикселями своими...

Before this update I had 2 shortcuts - for ST and MT dcs. And in MT I saw small differenses in compare with ST like absolutely black fan blades in Mi24 and so on... Now I able to use all new features whatever shortcut I run, including black fan blades. Does it mean that in 2.9 start of ST (or MT) version han been changed? -
As for warbirds, at distance 2km I see switch from more or less normal LOD to BIG BLACK DOT It looks awful...

In all games before DCS it was option for P-47 ammo load like "increased ammunition", along with bombs and/or rockets. That is why 100% with 300 rounds - is OK, but new load option - it would be interesting.

О! Раз уже есть тема, то воспользуюсь. Поставил СРС, но он 1) с ярлыка запускается только от имени админа, соответственно, 2) при запуске ДКС он автоматически не стартует. Ч/з иконку в главном меню ДКС он тоже не стартует. Вроде бы, некритично, но у других все работает "штатно"... Что я сделал не так?
