    Awww Yeah

Wow... I would never do something like this. It is amazing what distance people go for things that aren't essential.
  2. Im on my laptop so I cant confirm for you but, yeah it should be the only one you need to back up in order to continue your current logbook. Im asuming you're talking about the file located in User/Save Games/DCS A10? (Sorry if that directory is incorrect)
  3. I always turn the CICU and EGI on as soon as the APU is running to speed up the alignment process.
  4. The new dynamic shadows in the cockpit look great! I can't wait to see them for myself when the patch finishes downloading.
  5. This looks great! I think I'll try it out when I get home. Thanks Nate :)
  6. YUSSS!!! Gonna leave my pc on downloading it while I go to school so I am ready to fly as soon as I get home! Thanks ED!
  7. Its a bit of a shame :/ I was looking foward to downloading the patch on Friday so it was ready for the four day weekend.
  8. As others have said, an Afghanistan map would be a great change of pace. Also as upupandaway said, expanding the current theatre would be good because it would give in-flight refuelling a real use.
  9. I LOLed at this :)
  10. Nice setup!
  11. Thanks, I will. Looking foward to the new patch even more now
  12. Hi everyone Recently I've been attempting to complete the first mission in the Devil's Cross campaign. Everything goes fine - I start the engines up and fly to the contact point. I get the coordinates from JTAC. I fly to the IP at around 10000 ft. Then I tell my wingman to anchor here while I fire off my mavs at the first few tanks to stop their convoy. As I break off after expending my mavs I tell my wingman to: Engage with -> armoured targets -> with mavericks -> at my SPI. Now this is where it goes wrong. My wingman drops down to a very low altitude and starts heading towards the target. He is able to get maybe one mav fired before he is shot down by AAA. This leaves me to finish off the remaining tanks on my own. The only problem is that I don't have enough CBUs to finish the job and am forced to use my GAU 8 and risk getting shot down (which is nearly certain). My question is: How can I tell my wingman to be safe and come in from a high altitude at a high angle of attack like me?
  13. Nice job dude! It takes a lot to master but its definitely worth it in the end!
  14. Even though Ive never had a problem with my A10 drifting foward, Im sure many people will find this very helpfull. Thanks :)
  15. Im lovin the throttle so far! Keep up the good work :)
  16. The base Track IR (the $150 one) comes with the camera and a set of three reflective surfaces that you can clip onto a hat. You wear the hat while flying. There is also the option of buying the Trackclip PRO aswell as the base pack. The Trackclip PRO clips onto your headset so that you dont have to wear the hat. I personally bought the Trackclip PRO and definitely think it was worth the extra money. Its up to you whether or not you want to spend the extra money on it though.
  17. In my opinion Track IR is essential for any flight simmer (or any simmer in general for that matter). It adds a whole new level of immersion and really adds to the game. Just make sure there are no bright surfaces (windows etc) behind you because they will interfere with the camera. You should definitely buy it IMO
  18. I would also be interested in finding out what the mission was. It sounds quite cool and challenging.
  19. Actually, my first sim wasn't FSX, it was Sim Copter haha! Ah so many fond memories of sim copter....
  20. Hey Deadman, my covers arrived a few months back and all i can say is great job! :). They are really high quality and having my callsign on them is just plain awesome!
  21. Lol I cant tell if thats sarcasm or not :P Either way, Im glad I bought FSX for all it's sins otherwise I might never have gotten into flying (and possibly looking at a career with it)haha!
  22. Wow! looks like im just a rookie when it comes to flight sims compared to you guys! My first flight sim was FSX lol. It was the VRS Superbug that got me really interested in combat flight sims.
  23. From my short time flying the A10 I have decided that it is important to mix it up every now and then. For me it is usually something like flying metres above the ground, ducking under power lines etc. It is still nessesary to practise the basics though like CDU use and navigation. Thats what I love about this sim, there are so many different approaches. Good job ED!:pilotfly:
  24. Nice pics relayer :) In-flight refueling is pretty hard to master!
  25. I struggle to find time to fly. Mostly only on the weekends as I have sports and school during the week that keep me pretty bogged down.
