  1. For DCS players, calibration in Pimax Play is not really necessary. You can use the Centre View button in DCS itself. However, I've also had the problem that I ended up completely off course despite the centre view, or I kept moving through the room. The only thing that helped was to install Pimax Play over it (but it's quick).
  2. First off, thank you so much mbucchia! With DFR, DCS now takes screenshots of the images rendered at the peripheral resolution (4% for me). The images are correspondingly poor. Does anyone have a solution for this yet?

  4. Sorry, my question was a different one. If I stay on Steam and unbind my account now, can I always transfer my modules - especially the newly purchased ones - to the standalone at any later time?
  5. The only and most important question is: Will we be able to transfer those modules we buy from Steam starting today to the standalone version later without any time limit?
  6. First of all: I don't want to attack anyone personally, especially not you, BigNewy! But still I feel it is an impertinence to make this change without informing about it beforehand. I too have my modules purchased on Steam bound in my profile. Just to keep the option open to switch to standalone later. Before I bought my first module, this procedure was allowed according to the FAQ - I consider that a contract! To make restrictions later - to change the contract unilaterally - I don't think is a fair approach. I am not ready to "unbind" my modules. What if there are further changes to company policy later, and suddenly I can no longer bind and switch to standalone? Saying that there are "no plans" is not enough. I hereby call on Eagle Dynamics to reverse this move and find another solution. I absolutely understand the need to prevent customers breaking the EULA. But probably it's about preventing simultaneous logins with actually one and the same account? This should be your goal - and technically relatively easy to prevent. But such an inconvenient solution for all others who did not cheat, I feel as a personal attack and violation of our contract! Kind regards, an extremely annoyed customer.

  10. I previously had both The Channel and Normandy 1944. But I'm talking about the price difference between ED Platform ($) and Steam (€).
  11. Normandy 2 costs $9.99 on the ED distribution platform, but is offered for €13.69 on the Steam platform. However, the direct conversion would be €9.00. Please don't tell me that Steam wants percentages after all, this percentage is for the service Steam provides (distribution, storage, upload volume etc). This service relieves ED. And the customer, however, gets the same product. So where does this extortionate price of +40% come from ? I realize that this is "only" a small amount in absolute terms. Nevertheless, I find this a bit unfair.

  14. Thx. But when I do that, I have these options and I can no longer start the game in 2D, which I need for the Mission Editor, for example. Is there another Steam option that I do not know or can I create one myself?

  16. Problem was, with MT the game started in 2D. Solved with a shortcut "..\bin-mt\DCS.exe --force_enable_VR --force_OpenXR" from below 40 fps to high 50
  17. Steam DCS Open Beta HP Reverb G2 -> WMR OpenComposite so far Am now but a little desperate. If I use the radio button "Play MT Preview" according to the instructions and then press play, the game starts in 2D. The same if I directly start the \DCSWorld\bin-mt\DCS.exe. On the other hand, if I launch DCS via SteamVR, I don't know if I'm using multithreading and the --force_OpenXR switch at all. Is there a switch for a desktop shortcut to force VR mode? And could I just put the --force_OpenXR switch behind it? Also, I don't know how to re-enable motion reprojection now via SteamVR. Previously, I turned it on via the OpenXR toolkit. That was a clear difference to look sideways out of the cockpit while flying low: without MR I see a double image, with MR it was smooth. Since the OXR Toolkit does not run with SteamVR, I turned it on in the Steam settings, but see no difference at all. No matter what I do, I see double images when flying low.
  18. Steam User here. Since I'm launching DCS without SteamVR because of OpenComposite, is there any chance I can run MT even though I can't use the Steam "launch option"?

Ich habe mal einen kleinen Vergleichstest zur Auslastung des RAM gemacht. - Alles im Single Player - FLAT (Window 2400x1300) vs VR (HP Reverb G2) - Preload Radius 40.000 vs 150.000 - Instant Action vs Mission "OFS-All-In-One" (1,4 MB) vs Mission "Russian Infestation" (Liberation Mission, 7 MB)
  21. Just testet, the "External field of view" has no effect in VR, only in 2D. I think the only thing you can do is to change the Force IPD Distance.
  22. Probier mal, die openvr_api.dll zu entfernen (bin-verzeichnis, umbenennen oder löschen) und eine Reparatur durchzuführen, dann hast du wieder die Originale Datei. Vielleicht löst das dein Problem. Ich persönlich bin (wei viele andere wohl auch) wieder zurück zu OpenComposite, weil eines der WMR Probleme - das grausame Flackern im DCS Ladebild - wieder da war. Einen großen Performanceunterschied zwischen Native und OpenComposite gibt es nicht.
  23. Danke! Jetzt läuft das. Leider war die WPN Taste weder bei Raku noch bei Redkite ein Thema. Trotzdem mein Versäumnis, da es im Handbuch beschrieben ist. Fall erledigt.
  24. Und gerade hat ein weiterer F18 Pilot den gleichen Test gemacht und das gleiche Problem gehabt. Beides erfahrene Piloten. Jetzt sind wir schon zu dritt mit unterschiedlichen Rechnern, Missionen etc. Entweder hat man nur eine Walleye drunter und der Pod gibt nach dem Abfeuern Rauschen aus, oder man hat zwei Walleyes drunter und nach dem Auslösen zeigt der Pod das Bild der zweiten, obwohl der Channel korrekt eingestellt war.
