  5. Its irritating that trivia comes before the core. Animated LG before ground radar, bit test lights before navigation lights etc There are always reasons of course and they have been given to some degree but still understandable many users would wish some priority change if at all possible.
  6. Each tab/section is as stated. I've edited to be clear that 120 refers to 120hz. The likelyhood of being a better option for others is remote considering the many weeks of shared settings. Still needs fixing but now I can live with it a little better. NB I have reflections disabled as well which in itself was no help.
  7. Changing to PD 1.4 is only change. Has long been set as advised to 1.0 SteamVr beta Applications - Motion smoothing Always enable. Custom Res 100% (2112x2348) Video - 120 HZ , Enable Motion smoothing OFF Developer - Enable advanced supersampling YES NB it shows in the dashboard that Motion smoothing is ON despite above setting As per sig my force IPD is presently set 52 Tested in Caucasus Free flight

  9. Many weeks ago i was given to understand by several advice topics that DCS PD should be left at 1.0 if similar setting were being used (and better used) within steamvr settings. Only on a whim i just tried Supmua setting of 1.4 without changing anything in steamvr. Have been surprised to find mfd text noticeably less blurry. Will leave it set that way for now.
  10. To the OP. If you wish to fly and enjoy a well developed F16 home simulator there are better options at this time than the module from ED.

  13. Going round in circles. For some time now i have been using a forced IPD of 52 to give me a good FOV/cockpit size with benefits to mfd clarity. To check that TOYKILLA was talking about the forced IPD VR setting (of 63) which should have been way out for me based on past experiments i tried it. Not only did a change to 63 make no difference but turning on/off now has no effect which it did previously. Yes ive tried closing everything down for each attempt. This is with steamvr beta 1.8.19 CORRECTION !! It seems that for me the higher values have zero or almost zero effect. 60 ever so slight, 63 nothing. Sticking with 53
  14. Needs to be set with Axis for brakes. (controls/axis) Then you have left/right and i presume variation. Rudder pedals required unless some other awkward axis assigned. Just noticed you mentioned a slider on throttle :) There is wheel brake combined as well as the left/right for use with pedals. Been moved to bugs ? Maybe there is no varying pressure yet.
  15. Personally the index was my 1st HMD. I am using the motion smoothing on (108% it tells me). With no realistic way of comparing what we see in 3D its anybodies guess what each of us are experiencing. My choice of settings gives me a steady 60fps most of the time. Index set at 120hz. When it does dip the only reason i am aware is if i have the counter on screen. Using Nvidea GPU
  16. As i wrote above it seems fine not to re zip. I just copied the unzipped and modified contents textures folder back inside the game folder. The original zip i presume could be moved elsewhere rather than renamed. I re named original unmodified zip with no issue beyond giving `permission`and left in original location.

  18. "each time before booting DCS" ? or only after an update ? If there is a benefit from deleting metashaders after an update it surely could and should be automated by the updater ? Can the same folders inside dcs installation be left or better also to delete ?

  20. Its been done before and quite well (reflections) I never found they got in the way.
  21. Does not seem to need re zipping. I have the unzipped folder side by side with a renamed textures zip file. Thanks for sharing.
  22. The crew chief comments on those `98 jets were interesting. Even a love/hate relationship with one of them.
  23. Is it normal for the AB to continue several seconds after throttle closed ? Re the HB F14 the exhaust_length_ab is only 0.01
  24. Looks `OK` to me but do not have what you compare it too. If the issue is in VR then i do agree as many would. (but not visible to me in that pic)
  25. "constant/repeated corrective action" (tried both to counter the veer) is exactly what i suffer
