Same problem for a while now. My solution has been to switch into AG mode and back to AA. Whilst stuck i have checked with DIview and the controller inputs are varying normally.

Repeated crashes in Syria map, PC specs should be fine!
CobaltUK replied to wiwa23's topic in Game Crash
FWIW , as i have recently written in a similar topic my available ram fpr DCS is at best 12GB yet Syria is never an issue. I notice though that my system managed virtual memory is currently 22GB approximately. Medium settings, VR multiplayer. -
In Syria MP for hours at a time with no issue. 16GB total but 25% in use outside of DCS so 12 pretty much. Have 16GB gpu memory so maybe that helps. Did not have issues either when gpu was just 11GB

Anti-Skid Switch on 2 axis switch (WW Orion)
CobaltUK replied to Aa416295's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Doesn`t seem to work correctly even using KB. Suspect something is bugged with the binds. As things stand there seem to be 2 means of moving switch down but none that will move to the full up parking brake on position. At least for me. -
I must be wrong or have missed some factor mentioned or Frederf would have said this already. I was under the impression that the Tpod is normally mounted on right side and so the jet should turn RIGHT following release to best maintain target in view.

reported TMS Long requires button release before mode change
CobaltUK replied to Hellbat's topic in Bugs and Problems
Maybe Mover would be willing to comment. -
I think it was this topic that had me experiment a few weeks ago. Had long found the roll very sluggish compared to what i was used to elsewhere and what i supposed from watching RL video action that it ought to be. A few clicks in settings gave me 230 deg/sec (according to Tacview) which i was more happy with. A small curve prior to ramp preventing twitchy manoeuvring. Cougar Hotas

requested Proposal for VR head limits implementation
CobaltUK replied to kablamoman's topic in DCS Core Wish List
My head NEVER goes outside of the cockpit. Is that because I have my VR restricted to the minimal boundary (chair i think) in steamvr settings or is it that I mostly use the fast jets I dont know. -
When 2 pilots say the flight model is seriously off i would like to know about the credentials of those who maintain that's not so.

There may be another way but . . . Click mouse button 3 twice to enter the mode. Initially you will be in head tilt. Click once more for mouse look and once more to return to mouse pointer. Also make sure mouse button 3 s set for camera transpose in your viper control settings. That might be your only issue if working with other modules. Quick way...... set mouse column to default.

GS did a small video about it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7FjARW_mGc

If the ABS is not implemented why is the brake function so different when you turn off antiskid ? At least it used to be but i am behind in versions.
-
Why can`t this or any other request be made within the wish list without rabid, kill the idea at all costs interjection by the same as always players who feel that since they have the hardware, the time, the steady hands and perhaps a complex its their right and perhaps they feel their DUTY ! to shout it down. There are at least 2 of the anti`s here that did not even properly read and absorb the OP. Seem to think there was mention of a considerable membership. Blind and . ? Its up to ED and whilst suggestions of how it might be achieved are potentially useful the rest is not.

According to my patch install log there were zero bytes downloaded/installed. Dubious about undocumented yet apparently obvious FM improvements. With so little given to the F16 module in very long time (are they serious about calling that feature a while back?) to not shout about a FM improvement seems as odd as my zero bytes recorded. Maybe any change in FM is actually some bug in the patch. As if that doesn't happen.

You don`t read very well do you ? Your lucky we are not in the same room.

Your making a statement as fact (dcs vr is to blame) when in fact its YOUR particular setup. The FACT is on a lesser system i have NO stutter, NO (visible) frame loss that effects my pleasure in multiplayer. Sorry you have issues and you may perhaps never find a solution but its not the norm.
-
Have not read more that the OP question but i am very happy having changed from 150% SS 1.0 PD (recommended settings) to now 52% SS which is close to Index actual res and DCS PD 2.0 For me it is superior in clarity and fps. I bump PD to 2.4 for offline use. 1080Ti Intel 4790K

The OP observations were valuable and all the dilution by example Alec Delorean is frustrating. Its not changing of hardware or settings that have caused a visible and reported increase of vr crashes.
-
The OP does not state issue is when in VR but will assume so. When adjustability in the F16 finally became possible i did not personally find any benefit since it did not seem to allow greater brightness which was needed. It just made reduction possible and in VR for many that is wrong direction.

DCS is a game with pretensions of being a hard core Sim. Thats just fact. The F18 in DCS shuts down VERY fast using the auto stop so maybe just do that the moment u enter. Then you can do all the pre flight clicking you desire. Hot start is very useful option. My preferred servers happen to have same jet both hot AND cold to choose from. If a persons time is limited and the mission will not suffer then Hot is very welcome. So Auto stop or edit (if thats in fact possible with paid product). Not really an issue.

What complicates things is the confirmed 20gb 3080 coming soon. Depending on the price hike I might be annoyed if already bought 10gb ver. So am happy to have shortage imposed delays.

With your pc specs the result is not so impressive. Rather it shows the strain DCS VR imposes. Not to say it shouldn't. Can not have the visuals and action in the sim world on much lesser hardware. Common frustrations seem often more about performance reductions or problems after updates rather than unrealistic expectations from lower spec hardware. Though i run fpsvr i no longer chase high or even steady fps. It seems to make no appreciable difference to the flights for me (multiplayer).
