First flight sim and first game. :) I feel very young compared to some of you!

GPU probably. I'm on i5-2500K @ 4Ghz with 5770 (99.99% same as 6770) and I have similar issues.

Not a fan either. It feels unremarkable, and that's the last thing you want for something like this. Don't get me wrong, it isn't bad, just not memorable or something I would go back and watch again, like I would with GA's videos.

I'm with Mosley here. Poor business and customer service. I mean, I have faith that ED are trying to fix the problem, but why the silence? Hell, if EA or even BioFail have a problem with their servers, there's a sticky in the forum in about an hour or less with a status update, and that's from the business that won the golden poo.

If you don't like it, don't buy it. Buying it simply because you feel left out or to support ED is going to produce dodgy sales figures. They'll think that people want more of the same if it sells well. For example, I love BIS to bits, but I won't buy Carrier Command because it is something I am not interested in. It is a pity however that the surfacing of FC3 has brought the realism eliteists out of the woodwork, with their usual bashing of anyone who doesn't like or insist on full realism as a "kiddie". Kind of ironic really since that is playground logic. I for one would probably buy it (I love the Eagle) but I wouldn't be able to play it anyway so there isn't much point (yet). @Wolf - You're not required to buy to play missions with FC aircraft in, as long as there are slots for other modules (A-10C, Ka-50, etc) available.

Very good point, Kuky. How many products are not finished at the moment? P-51 and CA are still not final, and they're also working on FC3? They're probably spreading themselves thin in order to maximise money from pre-orders. Risky, but if it gets the job done...

Crashing here too. I wont be impressed if this is master server related.

1) Damage has not been touched. 2) Damage is related to the round a weapon fires, not the weapon itself. 3) De-sync was solved in patch 1.60. 4) Lag is now primary caused by a) Bad connection, b) Bad mission design, c) Bad addon design, d) Bad script design. Pick your poison. 5) DayZ is a BIS game. Of course they're going to support it.

1.60, the patch that fixed the MP warping, was released late December.

Erm, what? If you think CA can match ARMA, I'm afraid you're seriously delusional and/or an ED fanboy. The reality is that CA cannot match ARMA toe to toe, and it never will simply because their purpose is entirely different.

So, Spitfire vs. Bf109? :doh: The same thing would happen. Either way, there are too many variables in order to draw a conclusion on which is "better". People insist on arguing it to death, but the result never changes.

The best one is when someone suggests a carrier capable Typhoon or F-22. That never, ever, ends well. :p

I was not referring to this thread. I was talking about the general reaction of a minority of F-22 advocates when something suggests that it may not be top dog. They respond by sticking their head in the sand and loudly proclaiming bias. See the comments on the linked articles to see what I mean, those from "solomon" in particular.
