alright, got it actually this was not my own idea, but from @bradmick, i just stole it from his sheet and i thought it was a really cool idea i will dump the bore pol switch for the sight select then, and put bore pol on the flaps switch on the throttle base. looks like this switch is not used very much anyways laser on the trigger, i am actually not sure if its possible to bind trigger AND laser to the same second detent you mean with a modifier? fcr or tads modifier? i will put the target store where the laser button was, under the fmc release, i think that could make sense (btw would you even waste a button on the fmc release?) i just noted following line it matt wagner‘s pinned threat about the controlls: 8. Target store switch. Not a feature with late-Block II AH-64D. slave button: i do have a free dedicated button for it now (i like the ics button tbh, for roleplay reasons :P) updatet it for now, but still 100% subject to change AH-64D APACHE PILOT TMWH HOTAS.pdf

thank you very much for looking into it! in fact, my pdf sheet is based on the the sheet that the creator of this thread here made, he is also an apache pilot. all i did was basically adding some keybinds that i THINK that could be helpful (obviously i have no idea if it really is ) the whole topic is a subject-to-change obviously, we will see how it will be if the module finally arrives. but its nice to hear a real pilot giving his thoughts about this! thanks!

thanks for the docs, altough i have a few questions: 1. what exactly is meant with PAN TADS? i cant find that on the discription page of the systems. is this the slew of the cursor? or is the cursor slew just on the tdc slew on the throttle axis? 2. what is the difference between the normal cursor (on mission grip and left tedac) and the thumbforce controller? 3. some bindings that i miss, but i am not sure if they are needed: cursor display select (thats a button, right? sounds like the SOI button on the f18/a10), CSCOPE button, FLIR/PLRT button, sensor select switch (on tedac) and laser spot tracker mode switch 4. also, what about the FCR mode switch? this looks like a pretty important button, due its on the mission grip and on the TEDAC control grip (gmt, tpm, rmap and atm) 5. boresight/polarity switch? no need for this? i actually made an own version of your profile, with some slight changes, not sure if its nonsense AH-64D APACHE PILOT TMWH HOTAS.pdf

now 8 days later, i got some gifts from russia so far, i am absolutely in love! completely changed the immersion in vr! thank you very much @=Andre= and also @f4l0for that great app called SSA!

thats exactly how we did it in arma3 back then, so i guess i wasnt totally wrong there yesterday obviously, being flyable with turning rotors doesnt mean the startup is finished

wellll, a official preview for the startup will be released for sure. but what i can say so far, from my experience in arma3., it should be very easy: battery on, apu on, rotor brake off, crank engine 1, power lever 1 to idle, crank engine 2, power lever 2 to idle, both levers to fly. turn off apu. switching on radios/avionics, fire tests, etc. before, of course kinda similar to the f18. but its just arma3, dont know if its similar in real life

as far as i understand, from our apache guys here, you actually see the outlines, of course. but its like wearing sunglases: you dont concentrate on the outlines, so your brain pretty much ignores them. this works in real life, and maybe in vr, but absolutelly not on a flatscreen i personally think its a nice little detail, but i am 100% playin on Vr

i think its super awesome to have real apache pilots here, and its a joy to read such detailed infos about it! kinda insane how amazing this forum is! thanks a lot guys

i think it does make sense, because in the huey and in the gazelle, there is basically just one single cockpit, for both in the front. they have both access to the same buttons and switches, so it does make sense to have just one single profile. in the f14 and in the hind (and also in the apache), both cockpits are unique. the guy in the front cannot press the buttons from the guy in the back, and vice versa. of course, some buttons are redundant, especially in the apache, but thats not the point. they are still both seperate and unique. i hope they keep up having different key profiles. even the own profile for the scope in the hind, makes absolutelly sense to me, because it is much more easy to bind everything -> i hope they are doing it for the gunner‘s TEDAC handles too, in the apache! otherwise most of us will need an extra modifier to bind them. (maybe a button like „tedac control“, to toggle to the tedac? similar to the aiming profile in the hind)

i cannot fly the fa18 with pilot ON, because its very hard to click to buttons in the cockpit. i always switch it off, sooo no priority.

think i will have to try this too. i have the same problem as the OP, but with the collective! when i fire up the first engine, i can watch the collective go up all the way from 0 to 100, in small steps. same happens when i spawn into a hot mi24. if i do not immediatelly move the collective lever a little bit, it stays on 100%, which leads into a fireball right after the spawn

with the hind at least, i think it works really well with petrovic ai in the front seat for the atgm attacks. if it keeps working like that in the apache, i dont see much of a trouble here. of course, with a human in the front, it works muuuch better, and obviously it would be super cool if i could swap seats in MP. but, dont you guys think that this would be kinda OP in MP?

thanks for the answer! yes, i heard about the simshaker for aviators software, and i want to use it! soooo, i need simshaker for aviators AND the jetseat control panel app? thats what i want to know. or do i only need the SSA software? edit: you know thats what i found in the gametrix manual. is this still valid?

sorry for pirating this thread, guys just ordered the jetseat from andres shop. as far as i could read, all i need is the jetseat control panel app. plug in the seat to ac, usb, and here we go. but my question is: what about the simshaker for aviators software? i thought i need that too? do i need to switch something on in the dcs settings? thanks

yes, at first it doesnt look as intuitive. you need to learn first what the tms aft/fwd/left/right switches do. but as soon as you figured it out and got it into your muscle memory, you hardly ever need to put your head down to the screens. that obviously counts for bvr and the fcr, but it is also the case with i.e. the tgp and throwing bombs quick and easy to a certain target (just think about how weird it is to set up jdams in the f18 … in the f16 it is like one single button you need to press, the PWR ON button). once learned, its much more intuitive.

yes, me too. that why i like the f16 much more now. you dont need the screens that much, most things are done quickly and wasy with the TMS and DMS switches.

i am not an expert, so please dont take it for granted. but if i should make a guess, i would say it will probably be like the map in the f18 on the lower screen.

i dont know what you mean. as soon as i press auto on a designated target, the radar elev goes down and i loose the lock. -

hey guys. i noticed this in the f18 and also in the f16. i play in vr. since the update, the mfds seem very dark. its playable in the f18, but in the f16, it is very hard to read things on the fcr. it is just not very bright. i deleted metashaders and fxo, but it didnt make a difference. am i the only one with that problem? i think it has to do with the new lights modell, thats why i put it in the „weather and clouds“ forum.
