  1. I mentioned it somewhere in the thread, this is a pretty major one. It's basically a legal cheat in multiplayer.
  2. No reaction to this one for a year. Seems like a very simple thing to do. I'm tired of telling a player a BRA and hearing that he uses the other units. Then proceeding to incorrectly calculate that in my head and taking way too much time doing that. Not even talking about using distance/altitude units for things that require precision, like programming waypoints/targetpoints.
  3. The title says it. I don't want the menu to be cluttered, but at least some of the features should be introduced. I had a situation where there were multiple strelas in front of the JTAC, but it decided to lase the Kuznecov expecting me to do something to it. Even if it prioritized the SAMs correctly, there could be an occurence where you would need to hit say an artillery piece omitting the SAMs and everything else and then gtfo. I know that irl JTAC has the final word on what to mark and what to strike, but this isn't rl and JTAC's iq is a little lower than irl
  4. I tried flying with doorgunners once, then got into a dogfight with a Mi-8. Both gunners would aim at the enemy but didn't shoot. I was holding the heli straight, 90 degrees off him, but the gunner still just looked. This happened in multiplayer, and i never tested it after that, but it surely frustrated me. My gunners also seem to cycle the firing modes on their own, without me pressing anything, which results into copilot flicking the switch from rockets to miniguns, i then fly at the target ready to fire my hydras, can't do it and die.
  5. I'm solid at this point that it's due to the bad synchronisation. I often am a second pilot, and when there is some desync (we both have good internet, but server locations and our own locations are not so close) it makes the helicopter go into the ground, under the ground even. When it is over I guess the system tries to synchronize you again so it doesn't find any smarter solution than to pass that momentarily crash to the first pilot, so the helicopter breaks and falls randomly. If my friend actually lets me hop in (he's very reluctant at this point), his normal flight turns into a random crash in the next 5 minutes. This and the awful knob and switch synchronization (twitching knobs, some actions are not passed to the second player) make multicrew a no-go for us, though it would be a gamechanger. I also remember the INST caution always being lit on my screen and not on his, with all the consequences like altimeter and compass not working because the system didn't pass me him switching some switch in the process. And this is unfixable later, no matter how many times and how many ways you try to turn it back on.
  6. It works fine for me. Great even, you can see stuff behind hills. This won me a dogfight once or twice
  7. This happens after you already fired one sidearm, you turn it off and then on again. I have no idea how to reproduce it, but it happens 50% of times to me. You turn it back on, you fly directly towards the target and the seeker sees nothing, no matter the mode selected. Then as soon as you turn away 90 degrees off the target, it snaps onto it. The last part is very frequent and it sure as hell doesn't seem like it's intended
  8. Is there any heads up regarding this from someone knowledgeable? It's literally impossible to slave mav to tpod or dmt after you move it and it goes into ground stabilisation. The only way is to shoot it and switch to the next one. Is there a new correct way to do it?
  9. Bump. We need this for the harrier, because currently all of us spawn with chokes, even on the ground. This should be an option for carrier starts only.
  10. Make a uniform waypoint insertion system by data cartridges. This is mostly for multiplayer to reduce monotonous manual waypoint insertion after death/change of aircraft. As i imagine after you slot into your aircraft for the first time you would use some kind of interface or even the map to set waypoints and then use a radio command to have the cartridge plugged into the aircraft (or it can be made automatically on rearming). I know that different aircraft already use map for this, but the marks should be entirely clientside and we would love a solution from ED that would then cover all the planes that can use it. This could also remove the navigation restraints from the planes that don't have manual waypoint creation (such as FC3)
