Your gonna have to back up your statement...Please point out anywhere in this thread where I, or anyone else (except yourself) said the U.S. market should have had it first or anything close to that. Seeking information from the most reliable source there is (Thrustmaster) is what this thread is, and has always been about. And guess what..the post has been forwarded to Thrustmaster Marketing and I eagerly await any information from them. I did a quick Google search for the terms "delay in shipping" and came up with this link in the first page...this is Apple for example doing what you seem to think is uncommon. http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/03/27/new-apple-ipad-shipping-delay-two-week-wait/

Thrustmaster WartHog Switchgear
WarriorX replied to MadDogMcQ's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
8 are needed and the ones I listed have a measurement of 5/8's of an inch (i assume that is the length of the switch) and are referred to as being for "bat handle" switches. I will hold off until either I have the WH to inspect myself, or someone who already has one can provide the measurements. -
Thrustmaster WartHog Switchgear
WarriorX replied to MadDogMcQ's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Here is another link for the switch covers like the ones that Slayer suggested, they are $2.60 each: http://www.wiringproducts.com/contents/en-us/p315.html Just did another Google search for "toggle switch boot" and there are better prices out there, shipping costs vary greatly, so shop around. -
So...will this patch be a game changer?

Well said StrongHarm, well said. -
As I said in the first part of my OP, I would have sent the complaint to Thrustmaster directly, but they do not have any contact information for someone from the United States....so I posted here. The shop I ordered from has had no word from Thrustmaster, they have no idea when it will arrive, hence the reason for this post. Remember this post is to Thrustmaster...not to those in Europe who have their Warthog's so if you want to comment please keep it constructive. Try to put the shoe on the other foot, if you were seeing posts all over the forums of guys in the US opening boxes with the words Destination UK, Germany, Sweden, etc...then your pre orders were being ignored with no feedback from Thrustmaster, how would you feel? Frustrated right? Well I am of the mind that if you do not communicate with Thrustmaster, then how can the problem ever get solved?

Why do I sense an underlying joy from some of you fellow sim enthusiasts that we in the United States are not getting a fair deal on this? Really? is that the attitude? We are such a small group, why would you want to cause dissension? We should stick up for each other and help each other, no matter what Country we are from. Posts like McDaniel's just seem in bad taste.....not cool at all.

Yeah might be a good idea to pick one up on the cheap just for replacement parts...

HOTAS Warthog: Unboxed
WarriorX replied to RaoulDuke1980's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thanks for the pictures, they did a good job protecting the Hog! You will be just as happy with the TrackIr, and in fact, you will soon find out just how much it adds to your immersion and situational awareness. I will never be without one. -
Dear Thrustmaster, I am writing in this forum as there is no contact information for your U.S. customers available on your website. I hope some of your employees read this forum and can get the message back to Corporate. There seems to be a lot of questions going around regarding the release date for the Warthog outside Western Europe. Frustration and anger are building for some, as much of Western Europe have not only their pre-orders filled, but surplus Warthogs on the shelves. This coupled with the revelation of Warthogs arriving in one country with the box marked with a destination of a completely different country, has me and I think many others wondering why they bothered pre-ordering a Warthog. If you made a decision to divert all units to the Western Europe market that were meant for pre-order fulfillment in the U.S. then you should tell us straight up and be honest and forthcoming as to your reasons. Make your case, we will listen. I think a little communication regarding specifics on shipping dates to the US, Canadian, Australian etc. markets would be the professional thing to do. Silence on your part makes for speculation, and frustration. Providing information even if you think it will disappoint, will be be better than stonewalling your customers. Respectfully, WarriorX

Firefox update yesterday, now I cant access the forums
WarriorX replied to WarriorX's topic in Forum and Site Issues
Well I just disabled all my add-on's and now it works in Firefox, so it must be one of the addons. -
As I was shown by Wag's in the tutorial, I start both engines then APU Generator off, then I shut down the APU. Here is a checklist I put together to help me memorize the cold start procedure. There are much better ones than mine with pictures inserted that other members have made, so check them all out.

Well so much for Pre Order Priority...shops in E.U. have Warthogs sitting in stock, while Pre Order's in the U.S. wait.....sheeesh!
-
Maybe brother, but then SquidDK's delivery box from SimWare had Destination:USA and I just checked and US shipping is open for business. Just want to be real clear, my problem is not understanding TM's reason for even having a Country Destination on their shipping boxes if the box never even enters or ends up in the country it is marked for......hell, I cant wait to see what country my Hog was supposed to go to!

Yep, great work there CrashEd! Thank you Sir.

Well don't tell me that if the situation was reversed that you wouldn't be complaining...it stinks for any one market to have to wait for a staged release. I would think in this day and age of international overseas shipping and how proficient the Chinese are at moving product out of their country that a simultaneous worldwide release would be the norm, I guess not.
