  1. Man, everytime they release a new version of Target, I hope to see in the changelog "Added ability to create multiple virtual controllers". Maybe next time.
  2. youtube is a little grainy, any close up Pic's Please!!!!
  3. Your'e welcome pal, I am right there with you on the remapping! I have done the same thing. I just worry that they will add some new keymapping to the cockpit switches in Beta 4 that I overwrote with my modified Beta 3 keyboard lua. I will try to compare them today.
  4. Jhepburn, that was missing from mine too with a clean install of Beta 3. There was some discussion here on the forums a month or so ago, and Kuky was kind enough to provide his keyboard lua that had all that keymapping functionality. I went thru my downloads and I think I found it, I attached it below. Backup your original of course. Keyboard.rar
  5. Were any more keymappings added to Beta 4? I ask because I do not want to bring my saved Keyboard lua from Beta 3 into Beta 4 if there were changes.
  6. Copy all Grimes, thanks for the info. Happy New Year!
  7. Hi Grimes, Just played it, here is some feedback. Awacs is called by 2 names in brief, Wizard and Darkstar. Arco 61 has a radio freq listed in brief as 126.00 VHF AM but I can only contact him on 150.00 VHF AM which is what is listed in the Mission Editor for Arco. The first mission I received near WP 2 was "A Suspicious Man" When coord are given on screen, it reads Friendlys at coord 42 04 20 042 04 47 This location has no enemy or friendly's. I could not complete it. Tanker works. New voice acting sounds great.
  8. God's speed Rev. Thank you for your service.
  9. First, you should know that the Sim runs in two parts, the first part or front end GUI and the second part is the 3D engine. When you select a mission, and go thru options, you are in the front end. When you hit Fly, the front end will close, then you will see your desktop, then from here on out, times will be different based on your system's specifications. The next screen will be an A10C splash screen and then you will get a full screen loading screen with a progress bar on the bottom The first time you run the 3D engine, there is a process where the game unpacks and populates all the 3D objects and shaders for the first run. This can take quite some time and you may think it has crashed, but let it do it's thing. This will only need to be done once every fresh install. Let people know your machine specs in your reply so they can better troubleshoot your problem, and do a search for similar problems to find out what worked for them. Search is your friend.
  10. Welcome to the Forums Hayha, Did you use the FM radio? (It's the bottom of the 3 radio's) Did you use Mic Switch Aft?
  11. Are you running the Logitech profiler app as Administrator?
  12. Bahger, GA = Glowing Amraam (He is DCS's Movie Maker)
  13. Welcome to the Forums Veracity. I have seen the same behavior from the AI. It seems that they need to get close enough to the target you want them to kill. You will know when this happens because usually they call out "Contact". After the Contact call you can successfully order them to kill something. I can get them to fly closer to a SPI by ordering them to "Fly to my SPI" or if the target you want them to kill is near a steerpoint you can give the wingman the command "Fly to my Steerpoint" These commands are under the Navigation Branch of the Comms Menu for Wingman. Now remember this is still a Beta that we are playing/testing, so this may be fixed or changed in the future.
  14. Hi CaptHawk, I would be glad to help you get through your troubles with realistic comms. First have you read this?:http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=61349 There is a Tutorial there that you should check out. Give that a look and PM me if you have any questions that you cant find the answers to.
  15. Auto Key will replicate a held key. Autokey script works great. In case anyone else wants to know the details: WH Throttle Mic Switch UP is button #3. I had to assign the WH Throttle as the Preferred Device in older games to get AutoKey Script to work. (Search for USB Game Controllers, then select the WH Throttle, then select Advanced Button, then choose the WH Throttle from the drop down menu) Open and name a new script for AutoHotKey Here is my script for using the ScrollLock key as my PTT (paste it below the default script text) 1Joy3:: Send, {ScrollLock down} SetTimer, WaitForButtonUp3, 10 return WaitForButtonUp3: if GetKeyState("1Joy3") return Send, {ScrollLock up} SetTimer, WaitForButtonUp3, off return Save and then right click script and hit Compile. This will create a new item where you saved the script. The new item will have the same name as your script, but now will have a green H. Run that as Administrator and then it will be registered in the game.
  16. Thanks Sarge, I know of that workaround, but I can not use VAC at the moment as I am having technical difficulty with the registration and UAC. I have been working with Ron, and am very thankful for his patience, but I have not had much luck. So I am falling back on my old copy of Game Commander 3 until things get worked out with VAC. I need a PTT for GC3. GC3 will not see a DX key press, so it can not be used as an assigned PTT key. AutoHotKey seems like a great solution, but only if it can replicate a held key.
  17. Great replies guys! The way I played it out in my head was that after I destroyed the ZSU's the helo's come in and deploy the Delta team. As Delta moves into the city to secure the site, they ask for any intel on position of enemy troops. I am orbiting overhead and have a clear view of the opfor and then IR target them to help Delta get a fix on their relative positions. The Strike Eagles have their hands full intercepting inbound reinforcements, and Axeman is getting set up. Then Geskes variant scenerio could be implemented and the decision to either capture the HVT and extract him, or to destroy him in the bunker with the GBU10, or you could say Delta found a IED factory in the bunker and that it needs to be destroyed. Just thinking out loud, thanks for listening. Anyways, it was fun orbiting the town and looking out my NVG's at the IR pointer on the troops and imagining the rest...what can I say, I'm a simple man!
  18. One question Oakes, Can this app duplicate a key that is held down as long as the assigned joystick key is held down? I would like to use this to run a PTT key.
  19. Mavyalex, I just played a mission by Bahger titled "Taking out the Trash". I highly recommend it as it was a great mission. The infantry in that mission does move on the ground to secure a town. I don't want to spoil it with any more details but to answer your question, yes the infantry can move.
  20. Could we get the ability to have the friendly infantry use IR strobes for ID? This would add immersion, and aid in preventing fratricide when labels are off when bluefor is in close contact with enemy during low light/night missions.
  21. Bahger, great mission!! Thank you! This was my first chance to use the LSS and it sure worked great. I have a question and a suggestion. For the question, did I miss the Time On Target (TOT) specific time in the briefing? I remember the briefing saying it was critical to meet the TOT, but no time. The suggestion is to add (if possible) the Delta guys asking for Springfield to I.R. mark the general location of the troops that are around the target. Once the target area is marked, then the Delta troops can call a confirmation to the Springfield flight that they are oriented on your mark and then you can discontinue the IR. After that you can start the Axeman tasking. Also, is it possible to turn out the street lights for a given town? The reason I ask is because it would be cool for the F15E's to be tasked with destroying the target town's main power substation. This would throw the town into darkness and make the enemy at a disadvantage without ambient light. Lastly, do you know if the friendly infantry have I.R. strobe capability? Thanks again for a very well thought out mission. I had fun.

  23. I just did a quick Google search for the SA 15 Gauntlet. Please read the first paragraph regarding the capabilities at Global Security.org http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/russia/sa-15.htm And a 2nd confirmation here: http://defense-update.com/products/t/tor.htm
  24. Thanks Skip, man I hear ya, if I had not seen it myself, I would not have believed it. It was truly jaw dropping.
  25. I felt compelled to share a great moment I just had in the Hog. I just keep on finding things in this Sim that make me smile and this was one of those times. I was flying Grimes "On Station" Single Player Mission, and was tasked to take out a Surface to Air Threat. I got the target coordinates from the AWACS and put them in my CDU and was on my way to earn my combat pay. Around 12NM from my steerpoint I find a group of 5 vehicles and start checking them with my TGP. I think one fits the profile of a SA9, so I begin working to put a AGM 65 D on it. Just as I pickle off the Maverick, I get a warning tone on my RWR and find a 15 with a circle around it and I immediately know I have a problem. The spike from the SA15 is not coming from the vehicle group that I am currently engaging..."shit...where the hell is he?" so I break to put him on my beam and put my head on a swivel....looking.....looking, my wing calls mud spike...and I'm thinking "Yeah I already know that" and then I see the first launch trail and the warning klaxons are sounding but he is not tracking me, so it must be my wingie..We both break and dump chaff and extend away from the engagement envelope....Thank God for the TrackIr, as I am able to keep a "general fix" on where that SOB is. The missile from the SA15 misses my wingie and I am already turning and re-centering the Maverick seeker head and bring it on to the area I believe the SA15 is. By the time I find him I am roughly 8.5 NM from him and luckily I get a lock on him at 6.9NM. "Eat this" I say under my breath, and off the rails she flies! I break left and turn to enjoy the show out my right window and to my surprise the SA15 launches another missile, and then another, and then it happened. The first of the salvo of two missiles drills right into my Maverick while it is two thirds of the way to its target. I cant believe my eyes, but I just watched it happen! The Maverick is no more, and the second missile is tracking me! I tried to jink and evade, extend, but the math was not there, and the jammer was not burning him out...the 2nd SA15 missile exploded just aft of my right engine nacelle and that was all she wrote for me...I radio'd my wingie to engage that SA15 with missile and after I hit the last F1 the game crashed to desktop. I wish I had the track to show you guys but nevertheless, it was a great moment that Im sure I will be having many more of in the future. Thank you Grimes for the great mission, THANK YOU DCS!!!!
