  1. So much for a balanced global launch...I'm surprised by TM, this isn't their first rodeo, so I expected better. But, maybe there was an announcement that I did'nt catch that there would be a staggered release with the European market getting the first batch.
  2. So that's where all the U.S. Warthog's are.....SimWare got them. Will you SimWare guys sound off if your box says destination USA? I'm curious just how many USA units got siphoned off to SimWare.
  3. I would do it myself if I hadn't already pulled my hair out over continued failures to get the pictures to print out correctly. I use Paint.net to edit the pictures as I don't have Photoshop. Printing goes thru Win7 picture printing and HP printer software, and somewhere in there im getting all screwed up and in the process am wasting a lot of very expensive ink. I checked on the CH Forums MFP area and there has not been much activity there in months, so I thought I would ask here. I hope one of you talented MFP template folks will make up high res photo backgrounds, formatted and ready to print for the UFC, AHCP Panel, Landing Gear and Flap Control Panel, Navigation Mode Select Panel. Any help would be appreciated very much!
  4. Im running Win 7 64 bit, so it's C/Program Files/Eagle Dynamics/DCS A10C Beta/Doc/DCS A10C Flight Manual EN
  5. Have you started with the in game tutorials? They provide a good starting point. After that, make sure you have your joystick mapped out with the following HOTAS switches. TMS DMS CHINA HAT HOTAS SLEW TRIM HAT MASTER MODE SWITCH WEAPON RELEASE BOTH STAGES OF THE TRIGGER (if you have a dual stage trigger) These are the basic essential switches you need at your fingertips to employ the guided weapons. Make sure you understand the concepts of SOI (Sensor of Interest) and SPI (Sensor Point of Interest) there is a chapter in the manual dedicated to this very important concept. Remember that the Maverick's are a challenge to all of us at first, so be patient read the manual, make a checklist to refer to when your flying so that you get all the switch presses in the correct order. Also, this is a beta, so not all the functionality is in the game yet and some issues are getting worked out.
  6. So, quick question about TM's distribution network, if anyone knows. Is TM drop shipping from China to regional locations or are all the Hog's going thru France, then out to the world?
  7. Keep up the great work Shu77 and Frederf!
  8. Provantage has no firm ETA for a shipping date, so it seems the U.S. market is behind the curve.
  9. was your uncle interested in the Hog?...
  10. Thanks, I just tried it out...works well.
  11. The 8 axis Direct X limit has been in place for years. Is there a reason for Direct X not increasing the limit from 8 to 16 or 32?
  12. Yeah, I bet E.D. wish they had never put a time frame on the beta patches....it just gives fodder to the toe tappers. I for one am only concerned with the quality of the patches, not the frequency of there release.
  13. Hey Jib, did you change the default comms key from "\" to "#" ?
  14. I have been having problems with the radios as well, but I realized that I was forgetting the Mic Switch functionality that is modeled in this sim. Now the use of the Mic Switch has not fixed all my radio problems, but im pretty sure it plays a part, and should be used.
  15. I went from XP to 7 (64 bit), and I never looked back. The only thing that I would do if I were you is keep XP on your HDD. Set up a "dual boot" between Win7 and XP, which might be helpful if you want to run an older game. (Open Falcon comes to mind...it runs on XP but has direct X problems on Win 7)
  16. If you land with "anti skid" turned off, and you use your wheel brakes, the tires lock up and can burst.
  17. Did you do a "cold start"? I ask because last night I did a night mission that started with the jet cold and my TGP was blurry in FLIR modes but not in the Daylight Camera. I have done the instant action mission Easy Georgian Spring and the jet starts in the air, and the TGP is crisp and clear in the Daylight Camera view. *Just checked the instant action mission, CCD Daylight is crisp, FLIR WHOT and BHOT are blurry. Must be a WIP
  18. Thanks for the info...does the NDA end on the 20th?
  19. To those lucky ones that already have a TM Warthog, I hope you can give all of us waiting for ours, some information. Seeing as there will be some people here that will be unplugging there current joystick/HOTAS, and plugging in a TM Warthog in the near future, I have a few questions. Will DCS A-10 automatically reconfigure the controller assignments for the Warthog or do we have to start from scratch? Did anyone at ED or the Beta Testers have a TM Cougar with Simped F16 rudder pedals that connect via the gameport on the Cougar base? If yes, did DCS A10 have any problems with the Target Software combining the Warthog with the Simpeds via the Cougar base?
  20. Just flew it....I had a blast. Thank you for making it.
  21. MB, thanks for your hard work. I found a problem in section 1.) Power and Radio Setup. Step 2, Set APU Gen Switch to PWR is incorrect. It should be "Set Inverter to Standby" APU Gen Switch is set to PWR in step 14
  22. So I guess now the question is how long has DCS/Eagle Dynamics decided to make X? (Where X is the amount of time that needs to elapse before an activation is replenished)
  23. A dual stage trigger is set up in DCS A-10. The first stage trigger in DCS A-10 activates kind of an autopilot stabilization that steady's the plane when your on a gun run. The second stage fires the gun. If you dont have a joystick that has a dual stage trigger then you can use the keyboard command. FYI...The dual stage trigger has two clicks when you pull the trigger, one at the very beginning of your trigger pull, and one more click as you pull the trigger fully back.
