  1. Could this be used as a FAC? Does it have radios?
  2. 112th_Rossi

    F-15E?

It'll be unfinished pish. Just wait a year after it's 'release'
  3. Exactly. On F10 may be press ALT+LeftClick to copy coords to kneeboard.
  4. When in F10 view and you want to take the co-ordinates of a location, allow us to right click and copy to kneeboard. Then bring up the kneeboard, it'll show as a jotted down note from which you can reference when entering the co-ordinates.
  5. I think people are entitled for the product to actually work and work well, not be fobbed with 'Oh it's complicated, you don't know how complicated it is'. Appreciate its complicated, but still expect it to be fixed.
  6. There is obviously a split player base, both sides are significant. It's just those that enjoy multiplayer co-operation are getting a bum deal as it stands
  7. I'm glad this is getting attention. From my point of view I'd like to see the following implemented (just basic stuff) - Dedicated Server software runnable via command line, preferably Linux compatible - The ability to run servers regardless of mods or maps. ie, not requiring the server admin to invest twice in maps just so a server can be run - An official administrative protocol so we can administer servers remotely - An open master server protocol so that servers can be queried and third party server browsers can be built - Command line options on the client so we can connect directly to servers (dcs.exe +connect <server_ip> +password blah - Dynamic trickle loading of skins. Allow skins to be distributed dynamically to clients via a trickle download - Ability to have a HTTP redirect to mod assets when a client connects, automatically downloading the mods for the client without any intervention - A proper IP/Unique Id user management system for permanent bans and kicks - A chat system that does not mix server messages with client messages
  8. Late reply... but Some guidance (ie best practices) to mission building for multiplayer would help. What to, and not to, include in scripting etc.
  9. I've been reading this thread and there is a bit of hyperbole around DCS Multiplayer and its current state. It's definitely not perfect but it does work. However, it is NOT very accessible from a administrative and a client stand point. What I mean by accessible is, multiplayer is a much worse experience than single player in terms of stability and from a general 'wtf is going on' point of view. Multiplayer lobbies take a long time to load with no indication to the user of what actually is happening. There is constant jitters and pauses in multiplayer as well as rubber banding/trampolining clients. The more complex the mission the problems seem to get exponentially worse but there is no feedback from the server to the administrator as to what might be the problem (bandwidth/cpu issues). Yes, the 'numbers' may indicate that single player is more popular but I would wager that the multiplayer element is more vocal at this time. If single player is such a focus and multiplayer is being left to rot, then you may as well just remove multiplayer all together. Everyone I speak to about DCS talks about multiplayer. Hoggit, one of the biggest communities exists almost solely because of multiplayer and it's community. We've raised these issues with ED via this forum for a long time now and nothing appears to be done. We are told that it is being worked on, yet, despite all the mini-updates and better community focused communication we have heard nothing regarding the multiplayer experience. This is bordering on disrespect to the multiplayer community. I ask you ED, tell us what you are working on. Tell us what improvements you are going to make and put our minds at ease. You have been great with communication lately but we need to know what we can expect from multiplayer, so we can continue to invest our time and our money into this hobby. I say this with respect, but also through fatigue of wondering and hoping.
  10. On cold start, the HUD zooms out allowing you easily see the details. In hot start, the HUD appears to be zoomed in, making it difficult to read the detail To replication: Create a mission Place F18, Start from Parking-Hot Start mission. Observe HUD zoomed in. To compare: Do the same but with cold start, turn on the HUD and notice it is zoomed out more. Which is correct.
  11. What? You can? How? Can you save the mission layout?
  12. Great work! You know what would be even better? Editing in world in realtime ;)
  13. I've unbound sensor right for now. I'm using the regular ACM modes
  14. Same here. Can lock up initially, but can't unlock and return the radar to RWS. The issue seems to be after I have shot down a plane with AIM7. I think, the radar is still trying to track even if the target is dead.
  15.
