  1. Blufor has been fighting out of date crap since the late 80s in real life. Even stuff like Su27 and MiG29 was no real challenge vs F15C in early 90s. And redfor is still using MiG29A models and early Su27, hell even MiG21s are used in some numbers. And stuff like Su35 or MiG35 can't really be compared to F35. Mabye F16 block 70.

  5. Corsair, the original one, has been in at least 2 20XX and beyond videos and we have no idea when that will show up.

  8. I'm always annoyed when I don't get the vidoes I want. There's so much test after the Christmas eve patch. And I have ideas. But then life comes in the way, DCS don't want to do what I want it to do. And quite rarely other games come in the way. This time all three at the same time. So I made as simple mission as one can. A 2 v 2 dogfight with old mostly useless heaters. It was a bloody day. One Norwegian pilot killed, one soviet pilot killed. One soviet pilot suffering a fate worse than death. Forced to eat lutefisk as a POW in Norway. Me being so incompetent I crashed into a MiG21 and didn't even notice it. And belly landed my F5 by accident.
  9. I never use Caucasus. While the forests now looks good thanks to core upgrades. The towns and open areas remind me of IL2 ground graphics (though not as bad) but it pulls me out of my immersion in VR. I personally love Kola, it gets better and better for each update. Syra and Normandy are still the standard all others would measure against. I wish all maps looked like Normandy 2 down low. I can place ground units almost anywhere on the map and it will look good. I do hope Fulda gap will look more like Normandy 2 then it will Afghanistan or Iraq.
  10. Yes. But that's not how Red Flags work. If you actually blow up an aircraft. Something very wrong has happened. I would want a way to simulate the simulated combat used in modern training. This would not only be realistic in top gun campaigns. And red flag campaigns. But major wargames have been done over the exact area we have Kola and will also be on the top end Australia. Having red books by pilots taking part in red flag. Throwing simulated AMRAAMs would be immersive in those missions.
  11. I also own the NTTR, doesn't mean i use it. I would use the NTTR if ED implemented proper simulated Combat. If i could fling out simulated missiles and get simulated kills like they do in thr real modern Red Flag it would be very cool.
  12. Very much so. For me the F-4 was just that thing that dropped napalm in those Vietnam movies. But after 2 years since the announcement I had dug deep into the F4 and got super hyped by the time it was released. Same thing happened when I was wargaming. I had zero interest in medieval. It looked simple and uninteresting compared to both earlier and later periods. But when you get into it, reality is far more complex and interesting.

  14. If it's the correct 50 assets. Then yes, it can massively improve DCS.
  15. I find it very easy to land, far easier then the little ballerina F16. The chute also means you generally don't have to worry about landing a bit too fast or a bit to far in on the runway. That chute is really nice to have. I do sometimes get comments from Jester, but he has a glass ass. So don't pay him much attention. You don't need to pay for the service of the aircraft, tax payers do. So a bit abuse isn't a big deal.

  17. I would like some proper infantry too, something that looks right, also a a high detailed sea king.

The Australia map will be the first fictitious map in DCS(Australia is obviously just filmed in the back lot of a Hollywood studio, as no place with monsters every 5 feet can be real) I'm only interested in the Australia map if they have Kakadu National park on it. 20 000km2, it will be the biggest jungle/rain forest in DCS, can be used as a poor man's Vietnam map, or south east Asia ww2. If it's not on the map? I have no real need for it.
  19. I don't think I'll of it. As I wrote. I want it on the F16 also. As of right not. I can't make exactly the video I want. In the F16 is have a pilot body with head, but no animation when using the stick buttons On the F15E I have animations when using the stick buttons, no no pilot head. I know the F5 pilot doesn't have a head, and I assume it doesn't have animation on the stick button since the F16 doesn't.
  20. So the F18 and F16 had a physical head in F1 view, this let's me make some cool action shots. And cinematic videos. While the F5 that got a new pilot body did not get a head. The F15E a 3rd party aircraft (now mostly dead) has a fantastic pilot body, but doesn't have a head. It does however have animated fingers when using the stick. So would be nice to have some commonality. Heads on pilot bodies and fingers that move when using the stick.(which for some reason the F16 didn't get with its fancy new body)
  21. A vietnam map without a decent selection of US and VC/NVA infantry models would be a huge waste. Ideally they could add US and Vietnamese infantry AND add animated troops to the back of the Huey. Imagine doing a large air assault with 20 Hueys. And seeing vietnam era US infantry jump out of you Huey and run for the tree line. How Imagine you do the same. But now you have some generic infantry models with modern rifles. Magically appear as you tuch down in your empty Huey.(this is what we have now)
  22. After I moved my saved games folder to a new drive and installed my dedicated server to the same drive. I can't get my GUI to work, it connects to the server, but I can't select mission or move around, it just a blank page.
  23. I did this, it worked fine for DCS, but my dedicated server, doesn't work at all, it remembers that I've logged in, but I have no ability to move within folders to select a mission

  25. From what I understand the AI zero is a Mag3 project, and so not directly related to the Hellcat
