  1. No need to delete it as when making a new dcs world profile with nv inspector you de associate the dcs world exe from the stock profile. then re associate it with the new profile. the sli profile i generally use is the windows assessment tool profile which you just scroll down and find it in inspector. Gpu count is x4 and use afr2. Sorry i cant do a good step by step right now but when i get back to man cave on big pc i could make it more clear.
  2. Well I don't have a projector as I use the tv in my sig. Convergence and depth changes work big time for me granted I use dcs world in full screen and do not use the stock dcs profile. I make a new one with nvidia inspector which allows 3d to actually work properly with dcs world. I generally just have depth at 35%. And adjust convergence depending on aircraft.
  3. Not exactlysmart graph but its avia and they use the edge engine pretty cool new video
  4. Well save and upgrade to a 970 or better...
  5. Set refresh rate to 59 instead of 60. On a side note when I do dsr 4k performance is horrible in sli think its a major bug with dcs world and nvidia drivers
  6. thank you works great for the Rift!!
  7. So I've noticed with the newest sdk in dcs world multiplayer you have to turn on rift before hitting multiplayer in main menu. If I click multiplayer than turn on rift like I usually do it just crashes. It works fine in single player though. Hey skate do you know if dcs 2.0 will use that layering system? Sounds like it will work wonders on readability of huds and even maybe gauges? Is their a way to pass that on to Wags?
  8. Well i believe like certain sams you can optically guide the missle aka a like a tow missle. Which i believe was enabled a few patches ago? Hence the no laser warning received.
  9. I run it maxed with only some tweaks and I'm at 75fps with 4xmsaa And maxed draw distance. So what you say is not true for all
  10. It's a very small bump in resolution but know where near what we need unless Dcs world 2.0 cockpits are totally redsigned with low res vr in mind. It's funny on the official oculus forums people are raging about no apple support. Sorry but I don't see many people gaming on apples heck people are whining about having to have a gtx 970 or above. All that and with this low res vr cv1. Imagine in 10 years with 4k per eye or above what we will need. I thought the raging was bad about witcher 3 being down graded and it being an obvious console port, vr folks are rather pissed right now too. Good night to stay away from multiple forums..
  11. Ok what's the per eye then? Never mind that resolution is split between two eyes so it's still not enough resolution. Bummer. At least it will be better than dk2
  12. I find that odd as most if not all operations I've been a part of have the rotor wing low nap of the earth using it as cover and concealment then conducting pop ups to acquire tgts and engage. To speak on the transport in side of house same thing we always have been flown in low and fast nap of earth style. Guess knowing your environment will adjust such Ttp. I do agree though the higher you go the more effective your sensor suite becomes. I've always been in the mindset in this sim with ka50 to go low and conduct unmasking pop ups to acquire tgts because that's what I've seen done with our American rotor wing gunships. Like anything it's a fluid situation so I can see the high alt scenarios being of use Guess it all depends on Permissive vs Non permissive environment.
  13. I won't lie I keep watching the recent videos of Dcs 2.0 and am amazed by how many objects are on screen and the detail of those objects. Combat in these environments will be epic.
  14. Don't get your hopes up, just because it's dx11 doesn't mean it magically fixed all performance problems especially in edge with all the mass amounts of calculations it does. I believe performance will be much improved generally but the specific area I'm concerned about is when high cpu calculations are slaughtering the frame rate in current engine. If that is totally fixed then I'd say amazing upgrade. Uniengine is a totally different animal compared to a simulator. I would say if you want to compare it to anything the closest thing would be Arma 3. For those who have been around that series awhile should get the picture real quick. Wrong quote sorry Sith was the guy above ya.
  15. Well like I mentioned to you before, your experiences are much different than mine. I can tell you from my perspective it is what it's made out to be and more. Truth is nobody cares anymore, for most think the war is over when it's just beginning.
  16. The Hogs days are far from over. With its current suite it's far more capable than its first entrance into the Middle East. People who say it's time for it to go away obviously don't serve with it flying over head. Nothing on the battlefield brings more fear with just the sound of an over flight. It's what we need currently and will continue to need even if the mission set flexes.
  17. Ya I'd like to see the numbers to prove that. Until we see combat scenarios with ai and other players in this Edge it's all hogwash and speculation. I'm sure he pretty graphics will run better but will see when we have it if it's the same story as the current Dcs when theirs actually action going on the map. Would hope it's much improved but seeing they dropped that pretty grass tells me their making cuts
  18. A10c can easily survive in an modern battlefield. It has its role just like every other aircraft. You don't win conflicts with Air power you win it with troops on the ground. That will never change. As long as that is the case we don't care about your perception of future conflicts. The A10 works best for us now, and the current mission set we are engaged in is going to last until we get an administration that is willing to take the gloves off and end the califate.
  19. Yes it does but its also a single ship no combat flight.... we need improved performance in combat not solo flights. Also his FOV is pulled back giving a false sense of speed
  20. You are exactly right. I dont know how many times my self and fellow team members have Been "guided" by the brass watching us on the dam feed back at the talk. Sometimes it helps but most of the time it breaks concentration of the tactical situation on the ground. The future looks interesting with the tech in the works. Heck im a firm believer in the not to distant future everything will be drones from ground to air and no longer will humans be on the battlefield in the numbers it currently is. Will be way past my time but i see a future like that.
  21. LOL In response to the Uav and us ground guys those capabilities have been around for years... and yes that would be cool the whole vr type command room...
  22. Nothing wrong with him in my opinion. Most of what he says in video makes perfect sense.
  23. What i like from those pics is it seems like the foliage draw distance is remarkably far and much improved. Will be great for rotor heads and tree top flying!!
