  1. Agree, but also take into account their is publicly known airframes and well ones people don't know about. Our military strategy is always years ahead of what is publicly displayed guess that's a better way of putting it.
  2. Yes of course and I very much agree. Stuff they where making us due 17 years ago was complete stupidity compared to what we know today. Evolve or die.
  3. No kidding, ya combat experience makes you biased. For a good reason. I'm more than happy to share what I can share. Theirs others out their with more knowledge and experience with the actual aircraft it self. I just know from my experience in combat that the a10c is a very highly regarded airframe amongst our ranks. I can ask any random Oda member on their experience and preference of cas platform and it's always the Hog. So yes we are very much biased due to the mission success and lives saved experiences that we have had. I've always said the f35 is a cool bird. Certain scenarios it will be much weaker in compare to the hog. Current mission set and last 13 years of scenarios on the battlefield the hog has served us well.
  4. And your trying to tell me this? I've called in A10s on tgt and have had them provide cas for many of our Oda's. I'm very much aware of the full dynamics of what is what on our current battlefield. A10 is a a piece but it is very big piece of the pie for us in special operations. I could go on about how useful the apaches, spooky, and other assets you know not of. But we are talking about the A10 and f35 I do believe. People around here should be more open to correction when those with actual experience try to educate and correct incorrect mindsets. Military community within this sim community is quite large. But I'm beginning to see why they avoid the Ed forums. Your loss
  5. Again it's a arm chair experts. The combat facts in the current mission set that we are engaged in have clearly shown the A10 is the platform that works.. Talk about a so called ww3 scenario all you want, the A10 will still have it place helping us the ground folks close the distance and destroy the enemy. Go ahead and continue spreading your opinions about the topic all you want.n fact is until you come get some combat experience and actually factually know what is what in combat, what you all say is just inexperienced opinions. See this all the time on these forums when real world operators try to set the facts straight but get shot down by wiki what if experts. Fact, the a10c is the dominate airframe for our current mission set compared to f18, f16, f35. This is factual on the ground truth. The last 13 years of combat has more than proven the capabilities of the hog in the current mission set.
  6. Agree but all speculation until we have it in hand performance wise. Word around the camp fire is theirs allot of work to do in that department. Until we have the alpha in hand it's all wishful thinking just like any other game out their. I agree and I also believe they will delay alpha release again if it's not to a certain standard of performance, even as a alpha.
  7. No worries, what we will be getting with dx11 will be more than epic. dx12 would be a great future down the road addition. I cant wait to fly dcs 2.0 with that much improved oculus rift support!
  8. I second that question, looking at performance benefits of dx12 that is definately going to be the way to go.
  9. Hmmm I have great sense of depth and speed with mine. Definitely set your ipd with the oculus configurator.
  10. Depending on your gpu the performance hit isn't much with higher resolutions. It's the horrible engine depending on a gimped processor pipeline that crushes your fpS. Dcs world graphical,y is no challenge to the latest gpus. Alas the hope that dcs 2.0 fixes that is yet to be seen.
  11. Ya I prefer no trim of rudder myself too. Don't be a commercial airline pilot and fly that bird lol
  12. Exactly my point, does wonders for those of us on big screens not the little pc screens. Glad it worked for ya.
  13. I can't believe people actually are stating the a10c is an outdated aircraft. The one in dcs world yes. The one currently in real world splitting Isis skulls is not. Wiki commandos dear lord.
  14. Couldnt agree more, the F35 needs to go away and go away fast. Will take lives lost on the ground for them to realize their mistake in putting stock into that platform. This mystical battlefield everybody talks about is a ferry tale. Our current operational mission set is here for a long time, and the A10c is perfect for it.
  15. I think the whole t shape came from some military jargon. Aka like we call the antennas on most of our vehicles xwing antennas.
  16. http://afriendlyfox.com/2013/02/04/massively-improved-nvidia-3d-vision-on-passive-3dtvs-edid-override/ https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/789910/3d-vision/sony-passive-3d-tv-finally-got-the-3d-looking-good-settings-inside-for-people-with-similar-tv/
  17. Again negative. It makes a huge difference on aircraft visibility and the aa crap you speak of is adjustable. It enhances the image more, than standard down sampling. But whatever tired of arguing with wiki commandos.
  18. Ya I tried it out with the rift, it would definately enhance the experience. My major problem was the left and right mfds output was in middle of the view point and was not moveable. The frames for mfds where modular and you could manipulate those. But the actual feed from them where stuck in middle. Also performance was hit obviously. Definately could be a cool future addition to the Rift for sure and especially like the color tgp.
  19. When I used Dsr it greatly enhances aircraft visibility and you don't need to use 4k. You can use 2k and works just as good. I don't use it anymore as I fly mainly in the rift now then if not I fly in 3dvision on tv. The way dsr works it enhances those long range pixels for better visibility. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=132814
  20. This or save your money and use Nvidia Dsr which actually works better than actual 4k and spotting of other aircraft and or ground tgts is highly enhanced. http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/dsr/technology
  21. Totally agree, wish the U.S. had them in the inventory improved of course.
  22. If anything i could help ya test it. The export of the hud would be very usefull in the rift plus the tgp and tad also. Well heck everything would be help full lol. Im going to give it a try with my 3dvision setup with a secondary screen and see how that goes.
  23. By chance does this work with oculus rift dk2?
