  1. Let's raise anchors and go wheels up to travel to a new destination. The new destination is for a new map, which is not yet available. Let's have a map that encompasses the Red Sea, Saudi Arabia, Gulf of Arden, Somalia, Yemen, and Ethiopia. For this map, ED can add these features: limpet mines, ship wrecks, coral reefs, shoals, UAV's, explosive boats, pirates, coastal defense systems, SAM sites, oil spills, red tide, and the ability to control the directions of currents. In Saudi Arabia, there are military bases. When the F-15 strike eagle (fully-functioning mod) is available, it can be used to attack hostile targets in the Red Sea area. The Red Sea map would be a great addition to the Persian Gulf Map and the Syria Map. MFT
  2. Since ED has produced smaller maps, I figured let's go large. I will assume that ED is aware they can get additional virtual hosting services from Amazon. As for the long flights, you can add extra fuel tanks and aerial tankers. I hope ED would create the needed software that models the curvature of the earth. I am certain that some software simulation company would have what ED needs. Of course, budget and prices are considerations.
  3. MiG-23 is looking great. Ready to buy and fly it, when available.
  4. In the South Pole map, create the feature that permits end-users to create islands or land masses to build on. Virtually, you can create something that does not exist in the real world.
  5. Since this is a new year, I would like to revisit and repeat a map request. Can we have a North Pole map? This map would be great for Cold War scenarios. Submarines can travel under the ice packs to launch their missiles or just watch the surroundings. As for the bombers, they would likely fly over the North Pole either flying to or from the United States to or from the Soviet Unions. We can use the flying tankers to refuel the bombers/jets that are flying the long duration flights over the North Pole. And now, let's head the other way to the South Pole. This map should be easy to create. We can add animated creatures like seals and penguins because they live at the South Pole. Of course, we have plenty of snow, ice, and melt water to see up close as well at a distance. The South Pole would be more a sand box environment. People can create their own virtual communities, military bases, harbors, and other things to show a place where some really hearty people would want to live. Include the historic whaling stations that are found on islands close to the South Pole.
  6. For the Scandanavian countries like Sweden and Switzerland, the Viggen jets are at home. They are in their elements when flying in the mountains or attacking ships at sea with their anti-shipping cruise missles.
  7. Here is a suggestion. Let's have a map that features Greenland, Iceland, and United Kingdom (GUIK), Norway, Finland, and Sweden. This part of the world could be used for either WW 2 or for a Cold War campaign. Plenty, plenty of room for the surface and submerged naval assets and abundant land for airplanes/jets/choppers to land at. Just include the appropriate military bases, harbors, airports, and cities.
  8. I know ED wants to ensure the finished products work properly. That is expected, especially when virtual pilots are paying good for the planes/jets. Good things come to those wait (impatiently, at times
  9. For a future mod, mission editor option, or whatever the appropriate term is, allow players to be ground radar controllers. People are able to go into the radar control vans/trailers/trucks/modules and able to interact with a fully functioning console. Let's say the radar console for the SA-2, which shot down some U-2 spy planes. The player is able to use the radar to acquire the target and can fire the SAM in an attempt to destroy the threat.
  10. Let's create a section called Missions Ideas. Here, people can write their ideas for missions or campaigns.
  11. MAXsenna, thank you for the response. Yeah, I know the pandemic has caused unwanted delays. ED has really promoted the Apache, which is what many want to fly. Along with the Apache, we look forward to seeing other mods such as the F-15 and the publicized South Atlantic Map. Even more so, I would like to see the Eurofighter, the Tornado, and the F-4. MFT.
  12. I saw the video saying that the Apache's EA is being pushed back until First Quarter 2022.  I understand they still need to fine tweak the chopper.

And now to something else.  I know the DCS World 2022 and Beyond video really promoted the F-15 and the South Atlantic Map.  I am eager to buy both of them.  Will they be available at the end of January 2022?

when do we get dcs ah-64 release date????

  13. Mkellytx, I like the NBC ensemble suit suggestion. Oh, course, ED has to indicate if they are using it or not. They would add realism to the pilots when they are flying in the NBC ensemble.
  14. While I am disappointed that the EA for the Apache is being pushed back to the first quarter 2022, at least we know the status. To compensate those who purchased the EA version of the Apache, can ED give us a free aircraft of our choosing? MFT
  15. Right now, the Mig-21BIS is the closest thing we are going to get for a NBC weapon. The plane can drop two free-fall gravity nuke bombs. Unfortunately, we do not see the mushroom cloud. Instead, there is a brown spot that shows where the explosion occurred.
  16. ED, consider adding group equipment. Please animate the equipment. Thank you.
  17. OK, we can take the cow sling further. We can use the cows' urine to create urea. The urea can be spread on the flight lines, taxiways, and runways when they are covered in snow and ice. Urea is not corrosive to the aircraft. When ED (or the designated 3rd party vendor) has time, then they can create a new mod to make money. Specifically, they create urea spreaders, along with snow removal equipment, on the flight line.
  18. Thank you for your response. When I read information in assorted forum posts, I look for information people have not thought of. I like to include obscure topics that are related. In some instances, I have seen robust discussions appear as a response.
  19. Thank you for your response to my post.

  20. Mr. Big.Biggs, I am happy to see that you take the time to look at my posts. I like to make suggestions to make ED more enjoyable, especially for maps or for campaign planners. While ED is very strong with their assorted jets, planes, and choppers, their submerged and surface vessels are lacking. Even through many have requested for ED to improve/update/modernize their ships, they do not do much follow-up work here. Should a person, a team, or a third-party vendor be working on updating the naval ships, I figured we could have some additional features in the Mission Editor. ED has improved their weather effects, but does not offer options for virtual pollution. MFT
  21. But MAXSenna, it is a new year. Since it was a new year, I figured I could wish again.
  22. In the Mission Editor, I would like to have some new features. These features would allow us to control the oceans, at least virtually. I want to control the flow and direction of currents in the Persian Gulf. Additionally, I want to control the salt water's salinity and stagnant regions during the spring, summer, fall and winter. The water's temperatures, along with salinity, can affect the submarines' abilities to operate submerged and likewise for surface ships. Add additional controls that allow us to create pollution such as oil spills and oil well fires. Let's include tar balls, dead fish kills, and red tide. 23. We need to add virtual camels to the Persian Gulf and Syria Maps. For now, we have virtual cows.
  24. For as long as I have subscribed to ED, they tend to keep quiet until their new planes, choppers, and maps are ready for early access release. When I looked in the forum for comments and suggestions for a Korea Map or a Strait of Taiwan Map, ED says, "No." They do not want this to get political. Many people have expressed a desire for maps for certain locations in the Far East such as the ones mentioned in this paragraph. Even though ED will capitalize from these maps and virtual pilots will use them, it appears that ED's desire to avoid unwanted negative publicity is stronger than making money. Since ED is a Russian company, there is the potential that Mr. Putin could make life difficult for them, if he wants to. I agree that there is no noticeable pattern to locations selected for maps. It appears they are "works in progress." Ideally, a global world map would be ideal for us to fly missions. But, for the virtual maps, it looks like they are time intensive to create. I have also suggested different maps and locations. In the meantime, there are two things we can do: wait and go to the forum section to recommend new maps. When I read the map suggestions' forum, there are numerous places recommended.
  25. When I watched the DCS World 2022 and Beyond video, there were some coordinates that flashed very quickly. The coordinates were for a location in Afghanistan. I theorize that the Afghanistan and/or Pakistan map might appear. It is possible it could appear at the end of January. This is my theory, by the way.
