  1. I agree that different versions of the F-4 add value and enjoyment to ED.
  2. Can ED add the Lockheed P-3 Orion and the P-8 Poseidon? Two great airplanes to use for shipping interdiction, anti-surface warfare, and anti-submarine warfare.
  3. I would like to have some controllable things added to the jets. Can ED model the wheel spray generated when the plane is rolling on taxiways and runways during landings and take-offs? What about allowing one or more plane tires to either run low or have blow outs? Let's have the option to create Foreign Object Damage (FOD) that is on the airfield, which could get sucked into a jet's engine and cause lotsa problems. What about adding snow removal equipment (snow plows/snow brooms/spreaders) to be used and controlled on active airfields when it is snowy and icy? Add the option to have bird strikes or allow birds to be sucked into air intakes.
  4. ED, please create the F-4E. Virtual pilots are highly, highly, highly likely to buy it. Your company would recoup its costs for creating the F-4E very quickly.
  5. ED needs to create a Maritime Pack. This add-in/module would give players the ability to integrate with their aircraft carriers and destroyers. Additionally, ED should work on allowing players to better control their submarines. Using a simplified interface, players can view opponents at periscope depth to fire torpedoes or ship-launched cruise missiles to attack hostile forces. Additionally, add mine layers and minesweepers to lay sea mines or clear sea mines. Even more so, add ship tenders and sub tenders. For destroyers, give them the ability to use depth charges to attack submerged submarines.
  6. Hello, Thank you for your response. I hope you (and yours) had a nice Thanksgiving Day. I, too, have limited availability in the evening. I am not able to play during the day since I am at work. While I have the GTA V game for my xbox, I rarely play it. I like my DCS world jets and planes. I need to take helicopter and jet training for DCS world. Sounds like you had an enjoyable helicopter ride when you were a teenager. Mike
  7. I have a new map suggestion. What about making DCS maps that incorporate southern Mexico, Latin America, South America, and Cuba? DCS world does not have maps for this part of the world. Additionally, we could have loads of fine creating new missions and campaigns in this part of the world.
  8. Soon, we will be in December. I perceive that ED will be announcing important updates.
  9. The F-1 could be used as a refueler when flying missions in the South Atlantic Map.  Or it could be used to attack targets in the Falkland islands in the South Atlantic Map.  The F-1's can keep the Harrier pilots company while flying across the Atlantic Ocean.

  10. Hello.  My name is Mike with call sign "Viper."  Thank you for admitting me to your squadron.  I have the following jets:  F/A-18, F-14, and the F-16.  As for choppers, I have the Mi-8 and the Apache (when it is released).  I am brand new to DCS and brand new to flying.  I want to learn how to start the jet/chopper, taxi, land, and use all of the A-A and A-G weapons systems.

    1. Reddshift

      Reddshift

Hey Mike Force.  Apologies for not seeing this sooner.  We're currently in a severe holding pattern with all the delays and real life getting in the way of things.

We may revisit getting things moving once at least the 64 releases, but for now we're pretty much inactive.

  11. Is there a link available for the Chinese Asset Pack? I searched online and have not found.
  12. Is the Mig-32 Flogger planned for release anytime soon? This plane would be great to fly.
  13. This is a suggestion for a DCS map. This is a country that is close to the United States. I am referring to Cuba. This country could be used at Cold War missions. Create the southern part of the United States, the Gulf of Mexico, Cuba, and the various islands to create another opportunity for virtual pilots.

  14. From what I read in ED, they do not like people discussing politics. If someone asks for a DCS map for Taiwan and mainland China, ED is likely to say "not planned." Ok on this subject. What are some of the other "no-no" topics ED does not want people to discuss?
  15. Downed pilots floating in life rafts to escape hungry sharks is a great idea.
  16. I am seeing more international that publicizes the testing of various hypersonic cruise missiles. Let's add stealth fighters (land-based and carrier based) so they can shoot down these anti-ship missiles.
  17. Through the power of programming and coding, ED has the power of resurrecting the fallen pilots.
  18. Along with losing a virtual pilot, think of the virtual government dollars that evaporated. Ssshh. ED needs to save the drowning pilots.
  19. Here is the URL for TacView: https://sites.fastspring.com/tacview/product/tacview?_ga=2.253922248.132376931.1637107693-418368401.1637107693 Can ED partner with TacView so virtual pilots can get TacView on sale? The more licenses people buy, the lower the cost. ED can run this reduce price software the next time they have a DCS World sale.
  20. When I eject from my damaged jet over water, I have a problem. The ejection seat fires my pilot from the jet and there is good separation. A parachute deploys and life is good as the pilot floats down to water. But, as soon as the pilot lands in the water, he immediately drowns. Can ED update the program so our downed pilots can land and survive in water? This allows chopper pilots to be SARs and take the pilots back to base.
  21. I have a request for a new DCS map. I call it the Bering Strait Map. Here is the URL for a website that shows military bases in Alaska: https://militarybases.com/alaska/ Military bases such as Elmendorf AFB can be used to host the F-15, various jets, and even gunships. On the other side of the Bering Sea in Russia, there are military bases. Here is the URL for a map that shows Russian bases near the Bering Sea: https://www.americansecurityproject.org/russian-arctic-military-bases/ Virtual pilots with Russian jets, choppers, and warships can also participate in naval "meet-n-greet" encounters with the American military. From what I understand, the current DCS maps might cover approximately 800 KM of distance. Can the folks at ED create this map?
  22. Here is another wish related to Antarctica. Soon, the South Atlantic Map will be available in DCS. Expand the South Atlantic Map so that it would reach part of Antarctica. Here is the link for an online map that shows various military bases in southern Argentina: https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1RXQR_enUS967US967&tbs=lf:1,lf_ui:1&tbm=lcl&q=military+bases+in+southern+argentina&rflfq=1&num=10&ved=2ahUKEwiftdGtiJ70AhVepXIEHeqhA80QtgN6BAhCEAc#rlfi=hd:;si:;mv:[[-48.89743844376969,-54.29034089669618],[-56.70769775037382,-78.81182527169618],null,[-52.978609705959585,-66.5510830841962],6] I know the flight is from the southern tip of Argentina to Antarctica is much shorter than a marathon flight going from Australia to Antarctica. Virtual pilots still get to fly their missions, do air-to-air refueling, and attack the bad guys. Creative planners can build customized air fields in Antarctica with interesting back stories of why they selected their locations. To add variety, ships and carriers can be placed in the ocean, in harbors, or wherever.
  23. I agree that VR optimization is one upgrade many want to see. Using a VR headset makes flying much more enjoyable.
  24. I, too, would like the unlimited ammunition and weapons along with making the plane invulnerable to hostile fire.
