  1. I wonder if this classifies as a bug and should be reported to the developers.
  2. Isn't the TGP supposed to simulate a coordinate (X,Y and Z) resulting from the reflected laser beam? If have multiple occurrences of bombs missing, with and without mods, where the visual point the TGP is pointing at is not where the bomb is going. Sometimes the TGP is even moving after TMS up. Especially in mountainous terrain. I would say this is a bug rather than a feature.
  3. Joint Tiger Squad: Teamwork, Fun, and F-16 MILSIM Do you seek TEAMWORK, strategic planning, and the thrill of mastering the F-16 Viper? Join Joint Tiger Squad (JTS), a DCS squadron dedicated to collaborative missions and MILSIM. Founded in 2023, JTS pioneered a unique concept: shared mission planning followed by cooperative execution. This approach fosters a strong sense of community, personal satisfaction, and top-notch flying. Here's what sets us apart: Collaborative Mission Planning: Every Wednesday evening, we tackle a new scenario together. We brainstorm solutions, define the game plan, flights, and loadouts, building a solid foundation for success. Weekly Execution and Debrief: The following Wednesday, we put our plan into action! After the mission, we debrief, sharing experiences and learning from triumphs and challenges. These insights guide future training and mission design. Focus on Growth: We welcome DCS enthusiasts who are interested in MILSIMs. We offer training programs to help you grow into a better pilot, but our true strength lies in knowledge sharing and TEAMWORK. We're looking for: Viper Pilots (4): Experienced virtual aviators passionate about the F-16. ATC/GCI (2): Members to provide air traffic control and ground control intercept for a truly immersive experience. Campaign Builders (1+): Creative minds to craft new and exciting challenges for the squadron. Commitment: JTS sessions occur Wednesdays at 1830Z. Mission signup is required, ensuring participation in both planning and execution. Our primary language is English. Ready to Join the Fight? See how we operate! Watch our mission planning and execution sessions here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9stL_-kLKE&list=PLEsUiqRIr2RbZXB4KjlFtkf4S7QgWZp4c JTS welcomes individual applicants and members of other squadrons. 4. There you go @Lord VaderGBU38 misses.trk GBU38 this time, but same issue. Laser seems to point through the object and bridge towards the solid ground.
  5. The patch has more work on threats that influence 'cpu time'. Running a Miz with moving ground units on a server (same computer as the client) make a huge difference . So bad choice in multi threading / process. @BIGNEWYhttps://www.science20.com/tommaso_dorigo/multithreading_for_dummies-256741 (I am polite and respectful here, just handing vital knowledge for free. There is another resource on testing. Must read)
  6. Please review your post. ED is selling to the public. That implies you are responsible. It is about time you take quality more serious.
  7. nullExpected behavior: unit drives on ground, not below. If unit can drive underground, then no radar /TGP lock.
  8. Some development is done, but high quality speech recognition requires paid subscriptions. I don't want that.
  9. Pretty easy, but high quality voice recognition is not free. Windows quality speech to text had a lot of misses. I trained my computer to understand a lot of ATC phrases and give the proper responses, but understanding others players with other voices is challenging with free speech to text. I might complete the software when stt gets better.
  10. F-16. No track available. But easily replicated. I found a post by @lordvader that this has to do with GPS and INS inaccuracy, but point track is contrast based isn't it?
  11. In NTTR my entire flight was unable to lock targets with the TGP. When aiming at the base of things like a SA-3 TR, the tgp seemed to drift when flying around the target. A low level ingress loft would show nothing on the tgp when clearing terrain cover as the tgp was pointing somewhere else. Also, the HUD LOS would indicate range to terrain instead of the target, even when selecting a marketing and not locking with tgp. (Not a point track, just CZ) Expected behavior: with LOS and point track, TGP maintains lock on target through contrast detection
  12. update: when set in ME to 1500 it does work
  13. @BIGNEWTacview-20240523-130353-DCS-CBU test.zip.acmiY: which yesterday's update BA is set to 300 ft (AGL) but the CBU-97 doesn't burst. Also tried with BA 3000ft, nothing happens. Track attached. CBU BA issue.trk
  14. How can i toggle my left and right arm of the pilot body in the F-16? The keybinds with those names don't seem to work @BIGNEWY
  15. I guess all VR users are CPU bound, unless they have create setting well beyond the GPU capabilities
  16. It seems indeed that upscaling with Oculus gives a bit extra. I can try upscaling in the debug tool again because i haven't tried that in a long time. I am not using quad views or any third-party software. I did try OculusVR versus the standard OpenXR and didn't notice any significant difference. (perception, not measured)
  17. @cucum66 upscaling helps, but you can't generate details that were not rendered in the first place. The best visual results are achieved with pd, but also the worst performance.
  18. I tried lowering PD as a final try to improve performance. I came from 2.0 and reduced it to 1.3 to get rid of the stutters. All other settings are still maxed out. In 1.3, MFDs are not crisp and the clouds shimmer, but at least the gameplay is good. Hoping for some magic on the May 21st update.
  19. Does it still work if you try it again after rebooting the PC or doing multiple missions?
  20. @BIGNEWY Can we expect any improvements on May 21st with respect to the ground jitter? It is very annoying.
  21. Have you every wondered if Tacview could give a group a dedicated color so your debrief has...more color to it? And you can better see which group is doing what? With this Windows Powershell script you can update your tacview file so that all groups will have a different color. Read the readme.txt and you should be good to go. Want more colors? Add them to the color XML file of tacview and update the .ps1 script file to use those colors too. Enjoy! readme.txt convert.bat color my tacview.ps1
