  1. I've seen anywhere from 350 to 420 knots
  2. Generally, you want to destroy your target in a single pass, if your targeting is off a bit, firing two gives you a larger CEP, so you do more damage over a wider area.
  3. generally if you take two pods you'd set it to fire off a salvo of 2.
  4. It can in the loading screen. Set it up for SD-10, fire them and switch the type to LD-10 and then fire those. IDK why it wouldn't work.
  5. It won't turn off until you open the canopy. It's a safety feature.
  6. it was, and I manually turned on the laser. Just saying that's how you can use it to do what you asked.
  7. I've used a GMTI track to hit targets with laser rockets, that definitely works. Now I could have used a TGP track to do it, but it's easier to just use the GMTI and there's also the risk that it'll get out of line of sight with the TGP and the laser won't actually be falling on the right thing. Either way, it does work. The laser probably wouldn't be strong enough to go the 21 miles or so anyway. It spreads over distance.
  8. It shouldn't but the R&S 6000R radio should have a scan feature to listen to multiple channels at once and playback each channel as it is used, as it is a SDR. However, transmitting would still be limited to two.
  9. just one correction, 59 is the editable approach. Maybe by default it is homebase, but that one specifically is the only approach mode you can edit.
  10. for fuel, you should never have to take the big bags. If I'm trying to conserve fuel, I fly between 24k - 27k altitude and 4 degrees aoa.
  11. It doesn't work right, it's supposed to add an additional display, so like you always have that sight on, but devs didn't implement it correctly. I filed an issue with it a while back.
  12. Not a bug, it's in the manual. Feel free to read it once.
  13. It also helps to study the map first, use the satellite view and pay attention to landmarks around your target. Video is worse than an FPV drone.
  14. Well don't tell anyone, I want it that way.
  15. It might also be your hotas setup. Make sure your switches for the engine are turned to the operating state.
  16. Yea, I think its because you can't set the north/south. I recommend a workaround, which is copy/paste a different one (say 58) and then adjust.
  17. I just used them a couple days ago, everything worked fine.
  18. It was useful for me, roland was attacking and I flipped to SP and took it out.
  19. I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to do that. That's the intake for the jet engine, the thing runs on liquid jet fuel, so it definitely wouldn't be getting up to those speeds. The missile can achieve speeds of Mach 0.9 in cruise and Mach 1.4 during its terminal phase. I've only ever seen it go around 0.9 in DCS though.
  20. That's interesting. I used to be able to designate further than that with the HUD, but recently tried it again and it didn't work, so I assumed it was broken. If it only works within 10nm that would make sense, but yes you used to be able to designate further than that.
  21. It would, in fact, I believe some of the leaked manuals for the S300 mention that it can't track those things, but yet here we are, they increase the RCS of these things in game so they can be tracked. Also the new "evade harms" thing - there's no evidence that's even happening IRL.
  22. It's a new photo of a RAAD on a Block II JF-17 (#211).
  23. if you have a mission with multiple ships, you can actually see the RCS sizes are different, the bricks will be either larger or smaller.
  24. now we need the RAAD
