you need to use the NWS button to switch between your bombs and set different PP targets for each bomb.
-
You need to turn off the laser unless you are actively firing, so you don't burn it out. In the video I saw, you never turned off the laser. When you are using the TGP you should turn on the radar so it can stabilize, and automatically turn off the laser when you fly over the target, or it goes out of radar scan range.

try now with the latest patch.

only if you make it active. Works fine for me, got an A-10 most recently with it.

That's disputed by the vendor of the Aselpod, Aselsan. https://www.aselsan.com/en/defence/product/2887/aselpod

[NOT BUG] JF17: A/S-Weapon program settings getting deleted
Napillo replied to MelonenBuby's topic in Bugs and Problems
ye, that's what it looks like they did. You have to press NWS to switch the selected pylon, then you can change its program. -
I've read that there is either a 250kg or 100kg version which releases only the bomblets and not the bomb itself.
-
The bomb calculations aren't going to take into consideration the obstacles in the way, you have to do that part. If the building and fence weren't there, would the bomb have reached it's target? I'm going to say probably so, max range is going to have the shallowest dive, or the longest glide. Come in at an angle where there's no obstacles near the target, or wait until it has a steeper dive.

I'm less interested in using it for A2A as I am A2G, being able to designate from the HMD instead of hud or tgp would be great.
-
no there is not a hotkey for it, you press the button. there used to be one, but it doesn't exist on the real thing, so they removed it.

I suppose it was at one point, until east germany became just germany.

It's in the german manual for the thing. Google it.

[CHK] Gears retracting on the ground after restarting plane
Napillo replied to TrumBass's topic in Bugs and Problems
I'm curious if this isn't how it works IRL. The 'weight on wheels' probably is the thing that is disabling the retraction of the gears. I assume that's part of the SMS, which would be powered off as the engine is starting, and would be in BIT for a while after the engine is spun up. -
According to the S-300 manual it cannot detect it, the S-300PMU could not engage targets with RCS less than 0.2m^2. However, ED makes it so it can detect it. They don't cite any sources.
-
ah, but not the PL-7, which is the same weight and happens to be a clone of the Magic R.550
-
pylons require some kind of mount point internal to the structure, and wires with a route to the computer - the engine doesn't have anything to do with it.
-
Supposedly the FC-1 was used to design the HMD, so it makes sense to me, and it appeared to be an option for sale, the craft even has a button for powering it. I think it might depend on availability of documentation for it. Also, the radar going into spot mode would be very handy.

need track replay LD10 broken in active mode
Napillo replied to strzelec wyborowy's topic in Bugs and Problems
If we're just giving advice, then if you want it to have the most energy, you should pull up about 30 degrees before you launch, as that's the angle they loft upwards. -
[CHK] Type-200A are not dropped above a thousand feet.

So we might expect it to be looked at around the beginning of March? -
reported S-300 Missile Flight Path Issues
Napillo replied to Shadow KT's topic in Ground AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
that sounds like someone updated the manual with some copium. it could maybe guess the flight path of the ARM, but if it can't detect it, idk how it would even know. but it couldn't could it?- 20 replies

I've read some post that if you set the OAP to +1500ft in some direction away from your aircraft, it will hit the target, but I have not tested that myself.

Napillo replied to strzelec wyborowy's topic in Bugs and Problems
If you're doing SEAD, take the SPJ pod and use that to pinpoint a ground target with the radar, you can do that more than 21 miles out. Just use TOO not PP. It's not to be used as a long range maverick or something, though that would be nice. -

the quality of the video is also terrible, even worse than an FPV drone with their tiny antennas and power usage. -
It should be good now, except for the SFW. My favorite feature of the SFW was the imp az, which allowed you to specify which angle it comes in at (and thus spread the skeets along that angle) allowing you to hit targets that are lined up, with a single drop. I've also used that to hit a target that was in a deep valley, lining up the final approach to avoid hitting the side of the mountain.
