  1. A properly configured TrackIR curve does the same. At least with DCS the only time I have trouble with switches and TrackIR is at the extreme edges of view. I have enough of a deadspot in the middle where all the center controls I can mouse over without even moving my view. Up to about 60 degrees to either side my view movement is smooth and slow enough that it doesn't "jitter" or anything to take my mouse off target. For anything further back in view I either use snapviews or turn, freeze TrackIR and click after that.
  2. With a font so large, how did you miss this post?
  3. Ooh, not sure I'd like that. :) Don't want to have to switch something quickly and miss it since I got stuck to a switch next to it.
  4. DCS A-10C has that doesn't it? I can click on a switch or a knob then move my view or mouse away from it and still have control of the object. Like click on a knob and move your mouse to the top of the screen and it'll "turn" the knob all the way. Got a video or something about how BMS does it?
  5. Yup, that's what I was thinking of. Sorry. :)
  6. Your avatar has me terrified. Great mission though and very helpful website!
  7. Aren't there multiple colors for the rockets? Just swap from white smoke rockets to red with the mission loadout editor?
  8. The SnapViews in 1.1.0.9 are MFCDs on 4 and 6. 7 and 9 are "look at the pretty clouds" views. You should also remap SnapView toggle from Rctrl-Numpad0 to just Numpad0. That way you can hit 0 on the Numpad to lock into the SnapView mode, then hit 4 or 2 or 6 or 1 or whatever to view what you want. Then hit 0 again to get out of SnapView mode. No holding 0+1 and trying to type other things anymore.
  9. Viper has you squared away really. Just need to select Assign Axis and make sure you twist fully both ways to assign it.
  10. They don't.
  11. Yeah, I sorely missed that when I switched from the x52 to the Warthog. At first I tried using the keyboard commands but removing your hand from the throttle during takeoff and landing was getting difficult. Then I tried mapping the little side lever (the grey INCR/DECR one) to steering. Forward = right and Back = left. SOOO confusing. :) Totally not recommended. :joystick: Now though, all is smooth flying. Next up... MFCD panels! I don't have enough room for them on my desk though so not sure what I'll do with them.
  12. Yeah, that'll work great for you. Don't need the extra cost of the pedals either since you'll have the twist on the stick.
  13. TrackIR 5 w/Pro Clip, then the ThrustMaster Warthog. :)
  14. Make sure your Pinky Switch is in the rear (for set-per-panel lighting) or forward (standard lighting) stage. If it's in the middle that's "no lights" mode. With some controllers you'll need to change it's setting then set it back for it to properly register.
  15. The people that write the manual aren't the same ones that code the game. :) I ended up buying the BS manual quite after I had the game.
  16. I'd buy one in an instant, especially if it's updated with all the changes from beta till latest patch.
  17. You'll see "EXP 1" in the top right corner of the TAD at that point. The top of the TAD will be North as well. I learned that mode from a friend a few days ago and like it a lot. Really easy to tell which direction you're attacking from.
  18. That's exactly what I did... :cry::joystick:
  19. I probably have 100 sheets of laminated checklists, key combo lists, airport maps and varous charts. It's rather overwhelming. Just got iWarthog for my iPod Touch and it's great! Waiting for something like that for the iPad before getting one.
  20. I'm sure they'll release a beta for DCS: Waco CG-4A when it's ready. :)

$60 for the game $580 for the TM Warthog + shipping $50 worth of custom handmade covers for the Warthog $60 for the game for a friend $300 for a new video card $100 for rudder pedals $100 for various printing and laminating of checklists till I realized we had a lamination machine at work ;) $40 on A-10 books $15 for various cables to make everything work nicely Then the addon costs of the following due to getting me interested in military games again instead of MMOs: $30 for the printed BlackShark Manual $30 for Lock On various versions $60 for ArmA X $35 for Take On Helicopters $50 for a new mouse $60 worth of U-boat books $60 worth of war movies
  22. It's totally worth it though. I had an X52 and loved it, it played DCS just great, but the switch to the Warthog totally changed the game. Everything played how it should have and controlling weapons was so much easier since all the buttons were where they were supposed to be and felt how they should. If you can at all afford it, I'd highly suggest getting it. The only drawback is that you'll need rudder pedals. I really do miss the stick twist of my X52.
  23. Click Downloads on the left side, then Proceed to Download for the A-10C game, then wait a week. :)
  24. Been trying all day, from work and home, to download this and nothing is working. :(
  25. Congrats ED, if only I could download it. :)
