You're able not to be hit by missiles? :( Once you set your SPI via the TGP (TMS Up Long) swap to Mav (OSB14 Right MFCD) then China Hat Forward Long to slew the Mav to the SPI. China Hat Forward to zoom in slightly.

I'm so confused by this thread.

The problem in that mission is that your AFAC and Player spawn at 01:00 but the targets don't spawn will 01:30. If you speed the game up till it's 1:30am the FAC will call a Type 2 in effect 9 line.

:huh: You seem to not understand how Apple works. :) As for the manual, there's at least one more patch coming out and I think I read that even the current PDF manual was still undergoing edits. I'd much rather wait for a complete and error-free printed manual than get one now that has mistakes in it.

The thing is, it is ready, Wags confirmed that. What's holding things up is the distributor trying to get retail outlets to stock the game. Best way to get the retail game available is to start asking the retail shops around you why they aren't stocking it. Ask multiple stores, talk to the managers not just the clerks, send emails to parent companies and that kind of thing.

Consider your time well spent! My friends and I actually referred to this document this weekend trying to find the best way to run an AFAC process. :)

There is only two differences between the retail version and the download version. 1. The download version is available right now. Retail is not (in the US at least). 2. If you break your DVD you're screwed. If you delete your download, you just download it again. You're going to have to download a patch anyway, so from the start your "retail" version is going to be obsolete and you'll have to download anyway, so why even bother with the boxed version?

If you lost your speed meter that might have been because you forgot to turn on your pitot tube heater perhaps? It's the switch with the black rectangle box shape just to the left of the large grey knob there and should be switched forward to turn it on. In this picture it's off.

From the sounds of this post it's anyone that pre-ordered the game. That post was from late January as well.

Depends on the mission really. Often times you'll have other planes of various types that will be assigned to take out air defenses and you follow them in. Or you're supposed to fly over the air cover and take it out with a GBU-12 from 18,000ft or something. Or use your wingmen and flight elements to take out specific targets as seen in this video:

Welcome to DCS A-10C! There's usually a few "recruitment" or "training" servers on the multiplayer list, those might be a good place to start. I've had good luck with both.

Bah, ignore me, thought this was the DCS A-10C forum! :( Look for similar switches though heheh The ENG OPER switches just above the APU START switch. Set the ENG OPER switch for the engine to the MOTOR setting (down). Wait for the engine ITT to be below 100C when below 15,000ft. Restart the engine by moving the throttle from OFF to IDLE. Finally move the ENG OPER switch again back to NORM.

Considering that the current boxed versions are already out of date the upcoming one has a good chance of not being up to date when it comes out unless 1.1.1.0 is going to take much longer.
