Really like the new ejector sounds when jettisoning or dropping weps.

Running the bomb training mission. Its all good until late in the mission when I have dropped weps on multiple targets at the range. Looked down at side panels and all the labelling for switches were missing... Ran the mission again and at first the labels were there, once targets on fire/smoking, the labels had again gone missing on side panels left and right. Anyone else ever seen this?

China, Mongolia, Russia and many CIS countries use flight levels specified in meters. FL 0300 meter = (1,000 ft.) http://www.wordiq.com/definition/Flight_level QFE (Station Field Elevation) is used in Russia and China mainly and only for departure and arrival. QFE will cause an altimeter to read zero when at the reference datum of a particular airfield (generally a runway threshold). You already have it. :smilewink: Go to your DCS A-10C folder >Doc You will find the GUI manual in there.

The ctd fix file worked for me to correct ctd during assignment of TMWH trim: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=67747

Someone has modified a Glowing Amraam vid and posted it on youtube...

Exactly bradleyjs! The amazing thing is that this is modeled. Another interesting thing I found (and this goes to rextar's post above), is that when taking the jet and rolling inverted and holding altitude at –1g, the fuel starvation occurs after approx. 50-65 sec. Roll upright, relight both engines. Once at full power, roll inverted (same as above -1g), the engines now flameout after approx. 15 sec... I restarted the mission i.e. clean aircraft and it is repeatable. 1st flameout at approx. 50 sec, after relight next flameout inverted at much less time around 15 sec... I have a theory. It seems that the collector tank is full when you go inverted for the first time, then after relighting and going back to full power, roll inverted and the engines flames out much quicker the second time. My theory is that the collector tank (which is gravity fed) does not have time to completely fill again. Is it possible that ED has modelled this to such a level? Thoughts?

Two weeks... it's always two weeks from when you ask the question. Then if it arrives early? BONUS! ;)

This is a realistic limitation of the fuel system. At negative G, the collector tank will supply the engines with fuel for 10 sec at max power. The APU is also limited for approx 10 sec negative G. From the -10A manual. You can fly under negative g conditions briefly.

And then there was this Eagle Dynamics survey: (My comments in brackets) Which aircraft do you prefer most of all? * Ka-50 (DONE) A-10 (Nearly DONE) F-15 (USA fixed wing) Su-25 (Not USA) Su-27 (Not USA) Su-33 (Not USA) MiG-29A (Not USA) MiG-29C (Not USA) F-16 (USA fixed wing) http://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=clBEdlZpcmQtWUZZd3N2WTRuTVA2bWc6MA..&ifq So I think we can agree we have two possibilities. The F-15 Eagle and F-16 Falcon. Both named after birds. The last ED aircraft was a Shark, the current module is the Hog and so it follows that the next aircraft will NOT be named after a bird! Thus I have come to the conclusion that the next aircraft from ED, can be none other than the DCS F/A-18 Hornet. End of story. We can all go home now. Please shut down this thread. Thank you. Running for cover... ;)

Maybe there are some hints in here? or maybe not. http://www.thebattlesim.com/index.php?end_pos=129&scr=screenshots&lang=en

First few times I saw the richoceting rounds impacting in front of me I took evasive action thinking there was a bandit (with really crappy aim) on my tail! Ok it was more than a few times... lol.

Set increased power. Dive to gain momentum. Level off momentarily before applying back pressure. Use rudder to keep straight. Coming over the top of the loop ease up on the back pressure to keep it round. Coming down the backside increase back pressure and throttle back as speed increases. If you just yank the stick all the way back you will do a high speed stall. Also the Hog is not overpowered you have to really manage energy. Keep practicing. You'll get it! :)

Sweet! Limited range, but able to self extinguish fires! :pilotfly: Can't wait for your vid on this one GA! ;)

I think I know what you are talking about. Those are the richocheting rounds impacting downrange. It's not a bug it's a feature! :)

Hi. Its over in this thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=66962 Oh and dont worry your not the first to make this mistake. I did not even know there was a separate forum for screenshots and video until a few days ago. lol. :)

It was an interesting interview. IMO the F/A-18 would be sweet. A2A, A2G and carrier ops. Think of carrier ops with an aircraft modeled with this extreme level of aerodynamic fidelity... Wow! 8) However I'm sure whichever a/c they choose to model it will be done to the same incredibly high standard as A-10C.

"Do you think that DCS: A-10C is playable with only a joystick(with a throttle control) and my keyboard?" Yes! There seems to be no limit to the amount of money you can throw at this hobby. There are better HOTAS sticks, however I think as long as you've got a stick and throttle (which you have), you are good to go.

No apology needed. Thanks for the rep tho!

Yep my bad. Post deleted.

Hi! The communication with the ground crew is via the intercom. This means the ground crew makes a physical connection with the aircraft by plugging a headset into a jack on the aircraft. So it does not matter what freq you set on the radio as you are not using the radio to communicate with ground crew you are using the aircraft intercom system. We dont see in the sim a ground crewman with a headset and cord running to the aircraft but just pretend it is there. In -10a manual it also says that when you get connection with a tanker via the boom, you also get an intercom connection with the tanker. Dont think this is in the sim.
