Hmm. I used to feel that too. At the moment it’s seeming good for me but… I’m not quite there with the sharpness of the mfds despite running at godlike. And I run everything else at max. So I may also find it not as good as link when I’m done. I also don’t use qvfr.
-
Yeah I did the same. But I’m also in the process of switching to virtual desktop as this has happened a number of times now (meta breaking dcs).

Maybe backwards... but not necessarily forwards. So, if your headset updates and not the PC app, they may not work together.

Under C:\Program Files\Oculus there is a Staging and sometimes a tmp folder. Rename the Staging folder to Staging.bak Rename the tmp folder to tmp.bak Create a new file called Staging (you can create a new txt file called Staging.txt then rename it to Staging) Create a new file called tmp. By creating files to replace the folders, the Oculus updater can no longer copy the download file to the staging folder because it's now a file. Hence, this blocks your Oculus / Meta Link application from being updated. Reverse the changes to allow updates again. This only stops the app on the PC from being updated. It doesn't stop the headset OS update from happening (which "could" be incompatible with the PC app should the versions not match). I also make a copy of a good working Oculus folder, e.g. Oculus to Oculus.v67 so I can quickly revert if I need to.

That shouldn't be a problem. Usually the limiting factor is how small I can make them as the electronics are fixed size.

When mapping mouse buttons to HOTAS, you will find that controls to your rear left or right will make it difficult to point with your head and keep hold of the HOTAS. I also tried USB foot pedals and mouse buttons at one point. Ultimately, finger-mounted controls worked best.

The Ultraleap provides hand tracking, which allows you to move your hand over a control and then click with the Slugmouse. Without the Ultraleap, or hand tracking built into the headset, you can configure a fixed mouse cross that moves where your head is pointed and then use the Slugmouse to perform mouse clicks. You could achieve similar by mapping mouse clicks to your HOTAS buttons.

Yes, that is also an option while you wait for Pimax to get their act together.

Ok. So, when I had an Ultraleap with my HP G2, I had a couple of options. First, I bought a clip-in case with the Ultraleap and attached it to the headset with double-sided tape. Later I decided to take a GoPro attachment and hot melt glued it to the back of the clip-in case. I was then able to stick a GoPro mount to the top of the headset and then attach the Ultraleap case with the adaptor to the mount. If you can find an stl file to mount the Ultraleap to your Pimax, I will print and supply it at no extra charge with your Slugmouse order.

That's a great demonstration of the Slugmouse! It really does make a huge difference to be able to interact with the cockpit without needing to reach out for a mouse or VR controller.

V67 was ok for me.

The only way to prevent automatic updates of the meta link software is to rename the staging and temp folders and then create a staging and temp file in their place. The disable auto updates switch only applies to the apps and games that get installed in the headset.

I am in the process of switching to VD too for the very same reason.

The code he said to remove would be from any code developed using his template as a base.

Hey, fellow pilots and Slugmouse users! If you are having problems in DCS when the Slugmouse wakes from sleep, be sure to "disable hot plug" in DCS settings > controls. Failing to do so will introduce stutters or severe pauses in the gameplay when the Slugmouse, or any other game controller, keyboard, mouse, etc., wakes from sleep.

Then, it may not be ED's responsibility to resolve. If that's true, I apologise for jumping to conclusions too soon and blaming ED @BIGNEWY.
-
Not again! @BIGNEWYhasn't the dev team put something in place to stay ahead of the game with this? Does ED not have a Meta developer account to at least be informed if/when changes need to be made in DCS? Please tell us that this will be addressed swiftly this time, as it was over a month before a fix was released last time.

Note: the USAF emblem is a concept idea at this time and may not make it into production.

Hey, fellow pilots! The Slugmouse has had some upgrades! It now sports white logos down each side, and each Slugmouse is also keyed L or R in white on the back so you can quickly work out which one goes on which hand. The lower ring piece is now printed separately so that the filament runs the length of the tang rather than across it, which significantly increases the resilience of the Slugmouse.
