I got a TOD to Aldergrove C'Antrim for a few months in 87 as an AirTech or 'BAT'. Strong 'you fix it... you fly in it' mentality. I flew once with a Gazelle display pilot, tried to make me throw up. :helpsmilie:Nope!

I've got the stick unstick jump in the OB. and I had the in-flight cockpit shake in 2.0 http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=165828. It may be patched out now I'm not sure. I've seen a post where others mention the stick unstick jump in the OB, but can't find it again.Does this occur in the stable too?

Nice job with the latest features and fidelity improvements, makes this an even more enjoyable module. The L model cannon is great fun. I'm looking forward to further refinement of this helo and all future Poly modules. Thanks.

Awesome, looking forward to this.

Very impressive, looking forward to the eventual release. It will be worth all the hard work that you are doing, I'm sure.

I've got the spazzing F1 view too, but only in 2. Tried everything. It's like intermittent vertical phase shift.

Yep, I use it occasionally. it makes the work of art that is DCS, look more incredible. You need the horsepower as you lose 30 percent of frame rate. The best thing is that you can still see the keyboard etc, if you have illumination, where in VR you can't. It's best for the F1 view where the depth of the detail really pops. It doesn't help in gameplay, in fact it hinders a bit as some aspects are rendered at the wrong depth like the A10 HUD and it can be tricky to hit the switches with the mouse. But I enjoy the additional immersion factor. ..And you need a 120hz monitor.

That's great fidelity included in the module, and also must acknowledge awesome follow up regarding the initial query.

treble geting into hover after fast flight

And use the VS DER parameter in the NADIR which displays your groundspeed. Helps to reach and maintain it below 18 km/h. -
Posted to MCTC Collie for bringing the Army into disrepute.

I agree, when I fired it up initially I thought,:helpsmilie:!. But then I figured out my saturation etc and I can't get enough of flying it. I used to maintain Gazelles for the UK MOD AAC, and am for 20 years a licensed helicopter engineer . I have to congratulate Polychop for the fidelity of the detail they have embedded in this module. Looking forward to seeing it develop further.

Thanks Chuck, you are a legend. Making each new module even more enjoyable.

Try in windows mode, that normally fixes it.

Thank you kind Sir, all your guides make the DCS experience even more enjoyable for me and I am sure many others.

HOTAS Warthog or Logitech G940?
reemit0772 replied to jjohnson241's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Nope I havent had any problems as far as I can recall, I have heard of the throttle spiking problem but havent seen it on my throttle in the time I have had it. It all works just as it did when I bought it and its had some heavy use. (I hope I didnt just tempt fate then). -
HOTAS Warthog or Logitech G940?
reemit0772 replied to jjohnson241's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hi JJ I have had a G940 since the early days of DCS and found the FFB to be really useful in the A10C right from the start. Now with many other modules available, having FFB effects, it also feels worthwhile to have a 'generic' configuration hall effect HOTAS (with split throttles too) and not one so specific. I particularly like the effects in the UH1 such as force trim feedback, and also the way the stick centre position moves when trimming in the fixed wing modules. Sure the G940 has its issues, and with its discontinuation theres a possibility it could have frustrations later on. Knowing that the only FFB HOTAS is not on sale anymore made me get cheap used G940 in good nick, as a back up cos, I like the FFB so much. -

Cool, can you explain how you got it to work? thx -

Change Saitek X52 Pro Spring
reemit0772 replied to jepessen's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The Saitek spring bizzo always bugged me. I had the old serial X36F during the dark ages, then got the X45. The X36 didn't have the external spring bodge up system. I was so miffed with the X45 and its McPherson strut :joystick:that I spent a week swapping all the gizzards around so that I could have the new system with the smoother feedback and centering of the X36. It worked great:thumbup: until the hall effect hit the streets. -
 Like Db1 said, I think you would need the kit to see the screenie anyway. Its hard to describe: but when we fly sims in conventional 2D we have to subconsciously think that we sitting are in a cockpit, not just sitting behind a monitor. In 3D you dont have to transfer this belief as much, because the cockpit is presented "in" the monitor with actual depth, every switch, instrument, control and panel is somehow given this extra dimension which gives you the feeling that each part is actually physically there. Also DCS A10 (and to a lesser degree BS) is the first 3D pc "g#m*" I have seen that doesn't feel like you are looking at a "model" when viewed in 3D. As I said before the shadows really increase the 3D immersion factor too. As far as I can see only the cockpit is presented in real 3D, not the external views. I hope this helps, Im sure others can describe it better.

Thanks Rodney, I used your fix for 1.1.0.8 and 275.33. Somewhere in all the updates my registry key went west and was causing my 3Dvision to not work. I wouldn't have known how to fix it myself. With the new shadows in cockpit 3d is even more immersive.

Thx for the replies. soz guys, I should have been clearer. The Nvidia 3D vision runs automatically with the right graphics card, the Nvidia 3D vision drivers included in the normal Nvidia drivers package and the 3D vision kit. You need a 120Hz monitor too. Along with TrackIR the effect is incredible and quite hard to describe, but 2D just doesn't do it anymore for me. Sam talks about perhaps the DX11 dependencies in 1.1.0.8 not being recognised, other DX11 software works great though. Ill keep trying different solutions and report if something works.
