Trackir5 wont connect to DCS
Apache 64 replied to bigdawg07's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Use older Version 5.4.2: https://www.trackir.com/downloads/ The newer versions have only caused problems. -
And if you place an A-10C manually (start from ground) inside a shelter at spang, you will see, that these are too small, which is a pitty. SP was home of A-10 but i don´t know if they have build new shelters for these planes at this time?

Date and weather required for winter textures
Apache 64 replied to Vähäkylä's topic in Orbx Simulation Systems
Try e.g. february. And you can see it in the mission editor if you switch to sat view below. All is white there. -
I also prefer the J preset. Under certain circumstances, this gives me slightly better quality and less smear than the K preset. With K, e.g. rotor blades sometimes disappear when fly by far.

...we are already further west than Bremen, as I saw Mendig EDRE in the video 2025 and beyond. So at least Ramstein would be relatively safe. Let´s hope the best.

i assume he means uploading and you tube processing and such when he says "in final stages"

...at first you need to know that the powerlever for flying has to set to FLY. And leave it there. Not moved during flight.

It is the fog causing this issue. Alltough in my little self made singleplayer mission no fog was visible, i had set fog to auto. if i set fog to OFF, George works perfekt again. He sees all my targets again.
-
Additional track from me too. George sees nothing anymore. That was never a problem before the latest patch in this little test mission i use for comparisons after patches. Even with clear vision on open sea with small distances no luck. Gearge_sees_nothing.trk

I had that too, but after deleting shaders and restarting DCS a few times, it now works perfectly again. Was only with the F-5...on all maps, all missions. Now it settled down again.

If "unlimited weapons" is enabled in the main options under "game play" and you place one smoke grenade, each like ten second there will be another one in an endless loop automatically. You cannot stop this. If you place another color additionally, same behavior. Much smoke after some time.

Wrong cyclic Rotor blade movement with rotor stopped.
Apache 64 replied to P3CFE's topic in Bugs and Problems
It´s fixed -
Rotor Disc no longer fully animated at higher RPM
Apache 64 replied to Belphe's topic in DCS: AH-64D
And now with the latest patch from today DCS 2.9.10.3948 it´s fixed. Finally. Many, many thanks. Nothing in the changelog, but anyway. Apache day one feature back again. Great. Keep up the good work. Really apriciated. Foggy greetings (love everything in this patch so far, worth the waiting) -
Version 3.8.10 released. Brought me significantly less ghosting. You should try this version. So far I am very satisfied.

After all, nobody wants you to restrict the pilot's freedom of movement. This is not the case with the other modules either. Only your own head should not appear at this moment. Just like with ALL other modules. So the argument is strange. Motion sickness has nothing to do with the visibility of your own head, nor does it prevent it. You could at least integrate the option of deactivating your own heads outside view for F1 view in the Apache special options. And we're only talking about the outside view of the head here. As it is implemented now, you can see the monocle twice, for example. Once on the inside of your own helmet and then again on the outside of your own head. It's like your soul leaving your body. How could you achieve this in all the other modules and not in Apache and then claim it has to be like this? For example, you also have an option whether the monocle should be rendered or not. This should also be possible for the head independently of the body? And this problem doesn't just affect VR users. It's just as annoying with TrackIR. Thank you older thread with this bug an some opinions and explanations of what is our intention

..and this i had assigned all the time...but as mentioned the last patch has a bug cause its not working anymore.

user error Flare and Chaff no working since last 2.9.9 update
Apache 64 replied to jed40's topic in Bugs and Problems

And exactly that it doesn´t. If you are using TrackIR or VR and lean forward you only get closer to your panels with no influence on the magnification or view distance outside. But if you USE zoom view, you GET zoom view.

Cause they are and could not be the same POV per default (your helicopter is a little larger than your cockpit)
