The pilots feet are not in sync with trim state. If you set your desired pedal state and hit force trim release, the pilots feet spring back in parallel state. They stay no longer on the pedals. Track attached. Apache Trim Pedals.trk

...no issues so far. No problems even after today's OB patch. Reshade must be installed separately for the MT version, of course, with reference to the correct folder where the MT version is located.

Really big changes this time. You're right about that. I fly almost every day for several hours and it has felt really good lately. Did a few extra rides before today's patch, everything was fine. Then patched and flew the same maneuvers in the same missions, but almost no decent flying possible anymore. Looks like there will be many hours of new muscle memory training needed again. I also had to make some major adjustments to the axis settings. Especially the collective reacts extremely tamer. You need much more input for the same result as before. Everything will be fine. Hopefully.

resolved IHADSS On/Off reversed in F1/F2 view
Apache 64 replied to Apache 64's topic in Bugs and Problems
fixed in DCS 2.8.3.37556 Open Beta (10 mar 2023) Fixed: Pilot/IHADSS animation in the current OB is turned around in the external view. -
This is really annoying. Especially if you have selected "nothing" in the cloud settings. This gives you the desired "Clear Sky" every few minutes. This top layer is constantly faded in and out. And that with EVERY weather setting. I have attached a few "tracks". There I set the time acceleration to 15 times, so that you can see the effect better. I have attached some screens. See the clock at the bottom right there. fading clouds quickstart caucasus.trk fading clouds sundown NO clouds.trk fading clouds daytime light clouds.trk fading clouds daytime NO clouds.trk

Additional observation: It is especially extreme when shadows are set to flat (then it looks like in the screenshot above). With all other shadow options it actually looks ok. The higher the shadow settings are, the less annoying the reflections are. Maybe this will help a little with the fine tuning.

correct as is Tail rotor head not blurred
Apache 64 replied to Magic Zach's topic in Bugs and Problems
btw...I mentioned the pause function only to make it easier to see. In motion, of course, the error is just as present. Main rotor head washed out (like all spinning propellers in DCS) but the tail rotor head remains constantly visible in full focus. Although, as already mentioned, it rotates even faster. I just can't understand why you claim that it should be like that. Should actually be a super simple fix. -
correct as is Tail rotor head not blurred
Apache 64 replied to Magic Zach's topic in Bugs and Problems
Are you serious? I have attached screenshots where you can compare the main rotor head with the tail rotor head. One example even, where both are visible at the same time. With the same shutter speed. The main rotor head is blurred and the tail rotor head is not, although the tail rotor head rotates even faster. And now you say this was intentional? At this level it's really no fun to report even the simplest bugs enclosed a uneditet real life shot (taken by me) to compare. Even if you choose shutter speeds with which the main rotor head is almost sharp, the tail rotor head never is at the same moment. In the game, it is exactly the opposite. But well, if you like it, it fits. Sorry, no offense, but I love the photography and your game. Maybe too much. -
correct as is Tail rotor head not blurred
Apache 64 replied to Magic Zach's topic in Bugs and Problems
Unlike the main rotor head, the tail rotor head is not blurred during pause (e.g. for screenshots) Of course, the complete tail rotor should be blurred and not only the rotor blades. (It would be perfect, of course, if their shadows were also blurred, but let's not exaggerate ) -
[Audio] Please can we get more Bladeslap in the turns
Apache 64 replied to 104th_Maverick's topic in Wish List
That would be awesome. Another plus for immersion.- 1 reply

... me too. Sometimes even during the DCS YouTube videos.

I think he means that it would be cool, if the CPGs head reacts a little to the helicopters movements and g-forces. Would also be great if the head could represent, what George is doing or in which direction he is viewing if no real CPG is in the front seat.

This should not be a DEV decision, this is a design decision. Someone has decided that the own head is hidden in the F1 view. In all aircraft. And in Apache it is already like that, except for a few specific viewing angles. the head "flickers" on and off. Imagine you were in a dogfight in one of the jets and looking over your shoulder and your own helmet would constantly pop into view. In my opinion, this is not a "wish list" item but a bug (inconsistent). Someone from the design team should please take another look at this. That would be fatal if it happened the same way in the F-16 and F-18 when they get their first person bodies. I really love the pilots bodies but this kills the immersion.

Thats not the problem. In other modules you can move your head too outside real live limits. 360° if you want. No prob. Should go, it´s only a sim, but never you see your own head. They should not limit the head movement, they should leave the head disabled, like in most of the viewing angles too. And like in other planes.
-
Not funny! No other DCS module with first person pilot body does this. You can see your head in mirrors there but you cannot "leave" your own body and see your own head from the outside. Thats a no go. Can´t belive this as works as designed. Please check again. It should always look as in this screenshot, like it does in all other DCS planes as well.
-
Thats the bug. You cannot. ED must remove the first person head like in all other modules too. Actually the head appears in some angles and in some more "normal" angles it disappears.
-
If you turn your head far right or left, you can see your own helmet from outside. Own helmet/head should be disabled in first person view. (like in screen 3 and 5) Problem appears in both seats.

reported Pilot Body and Stick don't sync after trim
Apache 64 replied to speed-of-heat's topic in Bugs and Problems
Same here... and if trim is reset, the stick jumps back to the hand position. -

Again corrupt clouds (since 2.8) ... Track attached
Apache 64 replied to Apache 64's topic in Weather System Bugs & Problems
...this effect is also annoying, but has nothing to do with the pixelation I mean. I don't have only the phenomenon you mentioned, that seems to occur only when there is movement. The pixelation I mentioned is also clearly visible in still images, but of course changes constantly in motion. I link here a youtube video, where you can also see the pixelated clouds (although the video does not mention it at all). ...at 0:31 - 0:38, 1:08 - 1:14, 2:14 - 2:41. (if not allowed, I remove it again) Look at the horizon in the video and the screenshots. -
It is extremely slow for the Apache missions (90% of my flights involve Apache). And EVERY time, no matter how many times you start to re-fly the mission from 5 minutes ago. Shaders were deleted before. But makes no difference. Some other missions or quick launches, e.g. with the SU25, are loaded fast as usual. Even in the editor, load times are noticeably slower and you end up seeing the map gradually build up.

Clouds in distance are corrupt again since 2.8. Best to see with high contrast clouds, like overcast or evening/night time. Far away cloud are extremely pixelated and do shimmering during head motion. Happens on all maps, even PG with new lightening. Don´t know why all reports here about broken clouds are without tracks or usable vids. So i have attached a track and can deliver more if you like. Would be great if someone can have a look. It´s really not that hard to see this glitch everywhere. Even in actual you tube vids you can see these (could link some if it is allowed) Best regards and hopefully this could be fixed soon. corrupt clouds.trk corrupt clouds PG.trk

Strange pixelated artifacts for clouds on FLIR
Apache 64 replied to FalcoGer's topic in Bugs and Problems
Not only on FLIR. Same artifacts in normal view e.g. PG at night and general in clouds with good contrast far away. If you zoom in clouds look normal. -
....not only in VR. Since 2.8, these clouds in the distance look like from the "8-bit era". Best to watch them fly by in F3. I never had that in the previous versions.
