  1. I feel with you. Unfortunately, nobody at ED seems to be interested in this. There have been no improvements or fixes to clouds and weather for ages.
  2. ... and now for the Apache too...please
  3. Simply awesome!
  4. Many thanks for these fixes / improvements and the pilot boddies for the Hind. Hopefully you could implement the same for the Apache soon. Would be really great. Thanks and best regards
  5. The same for me. If you activate ATT-Hold in a normal trimmed straight flight, the helicopter leans to the right every second. More and more and flies right turns.
  6. I was afraid of this And as already mentioned: it also disturbs in non-VR
  7. Tested it with OB 2.9 and now it is fixed. Does not happen anymore with different settings. I was hoping that 2.9 would solve the problem. And it does.
  8. I have added some simpler steps to reproduce the problem and that it is only MT. What additional input can I provide since it is still on "need more info"? thanks
  9. ... and to clarify again: i don't refer especially to VR. It's way more important for TrackIR or other head trackers. We do not need boundaries in our 6DOF view, we need to "loose" our head in the F1 view like in all your other modules too. Thank you
  10. ...that would be so great if this would happen (and not only in VR). No one needs the own head in the F1 view, like in all other DCS modules. (or at least optional)
  11. Problem still exists. I can reproduce it quite easily. When you go to the exterior view, the rotor head is animated flawlessly. In the pilots cockpit view (F1), select on one of the MFDs under VID to TADS. Switch to the exterior view (F2) and you see the rotor head flickers and disappears temporarily. If you switch VID to NoVid, in the cockpit, the error in the outside view disappears immediately and permanently until you activate VID again. I also see the error in various online streams. Additional info: MT ONLY ...no problem with ST version.
  12. What a journey...came from here (1986) Amstrad CPC ...do we discuss framrates enough Can´t thank ED enough for making my dream come true.
  13. Thats the way it works. I thought that was clear. You need a deadzone for the used stick and you have to wait not too long on the edge for the second input to change the display. But you MUST wait a millisecond at the edge. It will not switch to the other screen in one fluidly movement trough the edge. If your pause is more than perhabs half a second or you start the movement on the edge, you must "double move" the stick within short period of time to switch to the other display.
  14. @Lord Vader...sorry for the late reply. Had to build a new rig because my old rig died Unfortunately I can not provide a track, but as soon as I see the bug again I will make sure to save a track.
  15. AI Kiowa does door slamming during simple way point flying. They open and close as if he uses them as air brakes (or does he flutter like a bird?) Track attached. AI Kiowa door slamming.trk
  16. The Apache in DCS has no visible heat blur / heat flickering like other helicopters or jet turbines in game. Would be great to see this on the Apache too.
  17. The rotor disk or rotor cone no longer corresponds to cyclic or collective movements. It is always flat and horizontal. No inclination forward or to the side. No more cone with more collectiv. Nothing. The only movement you can see is the rotation and the blade pitch angle. No track attached: should be easy to reproduce. No idea from which version this occurred for the first time. Seen in the current Open Beta DCS 2.8.5.40170
  18. ...could not reproduce it with Limas only (on different maps) with an undamaged Apache. Do you have track or video? But of course the rotor head should remain visible even if the helicopter is damaged. Unless the rotor head himself is damaged, which would probably lead to a crash. And ... yes I know that the damage model is still in development.
  19. additional info.... Seems only happen, if the bird has at least some light damages, as had mine after some perforations from BTR bullets. So it should have to do with the damage model of the Apache. No probs with a fresh bird.
  20. The main rotorhead is flickering/sometimes not visible. (since DCS 2.8.5.40170 Open Beta) Have attached a video file of the problem. If you pause/unpause in game (like i did in the sample video), you can find times where the rotorhead is partly missed and flickering. 0528.mp4
  21. DCS 2.8.5.40170 Open Beta: Thank you ED for the latest changes on the FM and the tuning on the systems arround. This is great pleasure to flight the Apache now. Even much more than before. And i love it in every aspect. Now we can have slow turns without or with minimum pedals, assisted from SCAS. Hold modes work also better than before. The whole flight less wonky, less rolling more precise... a big step in the right direction. Many, many thanks and keep up the great work. ...back to cockpit now....more flying.
  22. I totally agree with you there. But I actually fly the Apache several hours a day. Hence the idea that muscle memory plays a big role here. With each hour of practice, the feeling for flying after a patch gets better and you adjust accordingly. Then, when a new patch comes along and it suddenly goes really well in the same period, you might think something has changed because of an update. So all is well. Practice, practice, practice, as has been said so many times.
  23. Muscle memory is a bitch
  24. I almost hesitate to write about it, but in my opinion the Apache flies more predictably again since today's fix (DCS 2.8.4.39731 Open Beta). Although of course nothing has changed again, I think both the center of gravity has shifted for the better again, and the hold modes work more reliably again, as the roll tendency is less pronounced again. Just my observations/impressions. Makes spontaneously more fun again. PS: If I'm the only one who feels this way, just check it off as confusion
