  1. After a whole weekend flying the Gazelle, I can say that my opinion about the FM got super positive and it's a very different feeling than from other heli. It such an interesting module now. I love the gyroscope of the L ~Cold war variant I think the remaining issues that I would like to see investigated are Feels like rudders needed correction are a tad too sensitive at times and it's hard to be perfectly smooth with the instant trim rudder. It's really improved with 80% saturation tho but It still feels exagerated at time. Ground effect seems a bit too thin and will sometime feel inconsistent. The Gazelle is very underperforming on few enigma Farp for instance even at 80% load at 10°C (5k feet), it's impossible to even trully take-off sometime. This last part is perhaps true to life tho but feels like it should manage. Perahps rolling at high speed act a bit weird sometime it feels like it won't turn the aircraft at all. I don't think it's the stabilisation system that is fighting (This is actually greatly moduled, you can really feel it) my input as it simply feel weird to be able to roll at 20° without translating at all at more than 200km/h And of course the auto-hover but known issue. Frankly the job done is already top-notch, I will for sure follow the Kiowa release closely. PS: I'm curious if it would be possible to show the co-pilot display on screen (top left side for example) if you alt + click on it for instance ? Would be a great tool
  2. Thanks starting directly with the cyclic already in position actually improved a lot my take-off, it's easier to correct the roll Also tried the axis tune settings and feels better too ! I need to train this small beast some more before judging the FM
  3. Hey guys, would you have some tips for the curve you use on this new gazelle ? And how do you usually think during take-off ? I feel like i have huge pendulum (rolling heavily from one to another when changing direction) effect when being too slow and I can't really yet correct it smoothly. During take-off I try to apply right rudder progresively to counter rotor but it feels like I also have to counter cyclic heavily toward left, is it because the Gazelle is so light ?
  4. Great great post ! Looks like you had a blast, thanks for sharing this experience. I came across your post by chance, makes me wish we had better vision or a "my real life experience / sharing" category on this forum
  5. Thanks I must say it's been a while I played DCS this much, i have been able to replay the BF109 campaign by reflected and spot the famous FW190 crossing us at the begining without even having to enable the dots or downscaling my resolution (2K). Truly game changer. I think it's already a way improved system, I can spot from 10 miles without having to strain my eyes and when I lose track it's really because of clouds, sun, etc... I don't feel like i just go bamboozled by the dot system. I think in a perfect world, the only think left would be a very slightly super minimal upscaling of the shape of the plane but It's already very good. Thanks again
  6. There is a very cool mod on user files replicating MFD yellow font of the F16 MLU that i love (Am belgian and this + black mod and i feel like having a MLU Falcon hehe). However it currently impossible to do without breaking IC, would it be possible to ease access to those settings for this kind of mods ? I know cockpit colors are not breaking IC, so it might be possible to allow access to few more lines ? I'm no expert of course but i think the font color is a preference thing for squadrons, a lot of bl.50 and 52 are using yellow and green font (sometime even for different MFDs as we can see few precious cool pictures online). Now i don't know how it would be easy for a pilot to change them
  7. Hey when you say hold trim while maneuvering you are speaking about "virtual" stick trimmer hold (Not actually triming nose up / down) ? I always have to drop my stick and rudder as fast as i can after clicking of the trimmer and it sures would be great if i could actually just hold the button while coming back before the change occurs, is this what you meant ?
  8. Hey guys, Replaying the M2000 campaign recently and it still amazing today, i'm almost sad to be already half way through it. I noticed in mission 06 and 07 at least coordinates of waypoints seems wrong, it seems like a recent bug since i saw youtube videos of it of 6-7 months old. It's not easy to implement yourself sadely as the map doesn't display the last coordinates digit so you are usually far off. Do you guys have similar issues ? Thanks ! EDIT : Hey thanks to the DMPS software that allow to create easily a data cartridge for the M2000 with the waypoints i managed to do the mission 06 ! The first 4 waypoints at least are correct then the mission will guide you on newer waypoints anyway Here is the file for mission 06, you need to place it in C:\Users\*your name*\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Datacartridges and load it at the beginning of the mission by clicking on it twice, pretty well done i didn't know it was modeled already (Check DTC M2000 on youtube if you need help) M2000_DTC.dtc
  9. Hello, When playing instant actions on the channel map which will start in air, the plane seems to be always set with the default trim settings which will result to mandatory few seconds of heavy compensating and trim process. It can sounds ridiculous to complain for this but it is really redondant after a while and if you wanna re-train from the start you always loose precious seconds of concentration right at the begining of action when those missions are made for quick action session. Do you know if this has been adressed already ? PS : Sorry if untrimmed is not a correct english word.
  10. Thanks a lot i will try this right now, I think i played some A2G mission with u back in SoW with P47 bagpipe ahah happy to see you are still playing. It must be REManence as percistance (Happy little french speaking belgian here).
  11. Oh i did this against mig-21 and mig-19 only now to think of it. Maybe their radar print is hard to read for F1 but i don't know if it's documented or not. Great i will try again
  12. Hey guys, Love the module already in its state, good job to everyone involved. I'm really not efficient with the radar right now since i struggle to find contacts even in training vs allied Mig-21 flying straight (from 7 Nm to 35 Nm) while learning videos i saw doesn't seems to have this problem and find a contact rather quickly. Maybe radar in 1973 were very basic and some advices could help me be more efficient ? Should i be at a different altitude ? Or different speed ? Is it not efficient to be straight behind a contact and cruising at the same heading ? What i tried : reducing azimuth to 15° in the default mode, TEL mode (under 7Nm for a quick lock- never worked for me yet), I eventually find a contact but like literraly have to fly 5 minutes behind it or closing to it to get anything on my radar HUD. Thanks for tips !
  13. The engine will progressively gain MaP with altitude/speed from the turbocharger which become progressively more performant no ? While the main engine will lose performance progressively aswell but from a very higher ceiling (even if it way higher) Just like axis plain got an auto-pitcher modulating RPM to keep constant MaP to counter act altitude/speed variations (at least that is how i understood it)
  14. I think it wouldn't explain the setup on the capture as the lever shouldn't appear aft but since it's only seems to happen to me, It's most probably an issue with inputs/Sync on my side as you said. It is not impacting badly the 'gameplay' in anyway Until maybe someone else meet this issue then Thanks for the responses
  15. There may be some track issues but i Switch the battery and magneto everytime after main tank selec and pumping (maybe it is not a Logic procedure tho ahah) In the track you should see me take-off, i replayed it and it happened but i know tracking is weird. I didn't put in on the track but as soon as i move the RPM axis, it will module the RPM on It's correct position thus making me feel like maybe it is a bug related to oil dilution or my order in start procedure (as it wouldn't move at all anyway if it was a breaker or simulated Switch/Electronic failure related ?) My start procedure on the video and when this occurs : Main tank select Priming Pump x4 Battery ON Magneto on both Energies when putting both flaps on neutral Contact + i have a binding setting the RPM to auto rich from a switch and not an axis on hotas (maybe also an issue) Generator ON, Pitot/pilot? heat, oil dilution On Once warm up is over i Switch oil dilution off (probably useless)
  16. Hello here is my track on the instant action cold start on channel I noticed i use Oil dilution (which i think doesn't work but i like to use it) switch ON when warming up Sorry for the start up procedure a little chaotic ahah Maybe am i missing something but i shouldn't be at 2700 RPM from take-off ? RPM Axis fully AFT should set the RPM to maximum 1600, switch propeller on auto Here is also a capture P47_RPM.trk
  17. Yes i'm sure as i guess it wouldn't have any effect on the RPM when moving the lever then - however rethinking about it, it happened playing on SoW. I'll try again and post my exact start procedure with the track. And more so, Check if it happens on regular instant mission cold start. Oh ok i thought RPM at aft would prevent the motor to start but i guess it is not 0 RPM per se but more a fixed Window, interesting.
  18. Hey guys, Just noticed after take-off that i actually completely forgot to set my RPM on cold start via the lever. My prop RPM interface (via the 4 way Switch right on the left of the main gauges pannel) was unchanged so set in Auto by default When i change It's position it is actually changing the RPM (so back to almost 0 -> on the way up to 25/27) I retried it and it does this everytime. Shouldn't the propeller just fail to start ?
  19. I think they need to reduce the brake speed when using buttons ( I use the slider next to the two throttle of the Warthog and it works a little better). Undercarriage seems too broad to turn like this in take-off even with exact same throttle and RPM on both axis. I feel it is quiet too nose heavy at least on ground when you see it deeping at such little amount of brake at slow speed Probably easy fix
  20. Personally and maybe i'm wrong but i don't change my RPM that often. So i think you are not forced to bind it to an axis, maybe a 2 state button or a pot? 2700 for take off and fighting with water injection (apparently you Can even stay at 2550) 2550 for the rest even climbing at 52 manifold pressure (i noticed Reflected advised that to counter the allied AI climbing behaviour and it doesn't impact the motor even for 1h30 mission) For the throttle/boost i simply use the turbocharger lever slightly behind the throttle as soon as i see It's impact (around 6k at least) in order to stay at 52 or 64 (even few seconds above 64 won't ruin the motor but i don't think it is useful anyway except for escape after a dive at already very high speed) but maybe i'm wrong and i could improve ? What do you guys think ?
  21. Hey guys, Very useless think to Ask i know but i just discovered the door under the navigator feet could be opened/closed. The animation is really cool and i thought it could be cool to have it open by default on cold start. Don't you think ?
  22. I didn't find anything in this old manual about this but the Electric system of the plane being quiet complete, i wouldn't be surprised as it is close to the reality and was reported by veteran fighters/Engineers ? Right now you either can choose to use the cockpit light or the UV light at 80% or both with the UV lights being fairly low (25%). It's subjective of the monitor/Vr used of course but i never have issue using a gamma of 1.8
  23. I think the best of both world would be a % opacity settings until they are doing true dynamic réflection I can't see really well behind me in the Anton even on bright daylight
  24. Any chance this could happen ? The razorbacks are so iconics Take my money
  25. Hey try to set curves to your stick and rudder axis personally i use 30 curve for both axis and 35 for rudder I think they had almost full cockpit with stick extension in mind when setting the default curve as it is far too sensitive for most users. For the K4 i almost always keep the right rudder fully pressed and reduce it to return center when it start to go on the right with speed and rudder autority increasing I also keep the stick aft and full right and center it progressively but keeping it right to counter left Roll I use break only for the first 2 seconds max then it is kinda pointless and worsten take off to try to recenter The plane will remove again to the left when the back wheel is coming up so i just repress right brievely I don't know if it's realistic but once you are used to it, it feels natural and translate very well between planes. I think the main issue is that WE don't have a lot of good feedback about what is happening After it is already kinda late. I had a lot of trouble taking off in IL2 so i think it's just feedback récognition issues as we can't feel really what is Happening in videogame
