I am just on mission 5 (humm, not sure of the number… thé one on island at night, chasing anti navy missiles). I just wanted to say that it is the best campaign I’ve ever flown, regardless the sim or even game. really well scripted, immersive with a bit of real life sense of humour in the chats inflight. I flown two solid hours in one mission just started to be a little bored 5 mn from the landing base in the return journey when I feel bored after 20mn of mission in other single missions. a state of the art. The only downside is that for a french speaker, some important instructions come too fast and without been repeated sometimes. I have to pause, check the messages history to be sure to have understood well. and my wingman fool enough to fly on the sams all the time without taking out anything

Maybe Operation Persian Freedom instead

This campaign is killing me!!! It's amazing how it works and keep the player entertained even during the long flight both ingress and egress! I've just finished the 4th mission and when I've just down, it was a 2 solid hours of flight... Exhausting but really happy! I would have more and more

I mean that last day I try to replay a mission once finished. And because it was way too long to watch, I've stopped the replay. Then I went to your logbook .exe IOT increment my mission and the result was: Mission started at 00:00, NOT landed at 00:59 (i.e.) and Failure. No result, no kill, not success mission. That's what I meant. Concerning the award, no drama. I was just thinking about that because I currently play the excellent "Operation Persian Freedom" and the main character (player) is an exchange RAF pilot serving in the US Air Force and the pilot can receive foreign (US) medals for his action and that can't be incremented in the logbook if I created a RAF character. You see?

On a basis, when talking about foreign awards, IRL, warriors are sometimes awarded with medals from the country with which they are fighting or from the country they defended. But, IOT stick with the game system of awards, if it would be possible to increment medals from different allegiances we are playing with (for a same country be able to receive medals from Air Force, army, navy, USMC, could be a good thing). So it would be possible to play different missions in one module (I.e. UH60 that can be flown with the army, Air Force and navy), and still be able to be rewarded with different medals. But, anyway, that’s not the most important. You’ve done a hell of a good job and that’s really great. Many thanks for that. Another thing I went into is that if we replay a mission and stop it, the debrief.log don’t take the mission as flown. It’s just « opening, take off, not landed and failure ». That’s it... Two solutions then. Don’t input it in the calendar or refly the whole mission to have it took into account properly. Weird, but not sure you can do a lot to fix that.

Yes, I saw it. BUT, What I would need is more some « how-to » sheets (I.e.: to fire the gun, you have to do that, that, that and boom). I have some kneeboard sheets like that for the A-10CII, that I have translated. It tells me how to fire rockets, guided or not, bombs (unguided, jdam, gbu, cluster bombs), how to start-up, to make steerpoints, waypoints, markpoints, to use the TAD with jtac, to transmit or receive things with the tad, how to enter coordinates into the CDU... The main advantage for non-native speakers is that there is no doubt about the understanding of a text describing a procedure. It’s the Apache for more than dumbs but I’m convinced that it’s the best way to avoid to be disappointed with the module.

So I am not the only one to have noticed that. I have found out and was thinking that these screens were way too bright for night missions

Maybe I had missed something but as a SP and A-10CII enthusiast, I miss some nice campaign in Syria, against ISIS for example. I am way too new on DCS to imagine designing a campaign by myself but I wonder why there is no new campaign since years now (?)

Well, as a non-native English speaker, I have a hard time understand well the documentation and be able to pick the « how-to » mandatorily things. To be clear, I would like to have some check-lists IOT exploit quickly the module and not hanging around, trying to figure out how to do this or that. Sorry for that, but I really have a overwhelming feeling in front of the huge Longbow’s documentation.

I understand and i must confess that i made the mystake to create an avatar of a marine corps pilot flying after for air force. The french legion of honor is the good example as far as it’s given to many foreigners instead of french warriors.

Hello @Ansirial, Just a quick suggestion. I have created a character with Marine Corps allegiance. However, I use to fly an Air Force plane. Fact is that I had given some specific AF award and unable to implement in my awards board. Is that possible to allow the characters to receive other awards, even foreign awards, than the first allegiance one?

As a single player and IOT enjoy the most the Apache capacities, it would be great to have a campaign from the beginning of the release. Is that possible?

I guess there would a possibility to convert some campaigns from a plane to the Apache

@Quirkitized Is there a way to convert that campaign for the A-10CII? I’ve tried to edit each mission and the .cmp file but it doesn’t work at all... I just can’t figure out how to do it.
