  1. Sorry, but we did not use dynamic weather, so wind and pressure remained constant throughout the scenery. However, I see your point regarding DTS. It is possible that DTS is totally accurate in the mountains while CCIP pipper is not. So, only devs know what's going on here. The only effect I see is that CCIP is not accurate in the mountains, and that could very well be as in RL.
  2. Respectfully disagree. Have you tried to bomb a target in CCIP in the mountains? I can confirm, based in several MP missions made with our squadron mates (actually your squadron mates too as it is E69 from Spain :)) that CCIP accuracy is affected by terrain type as long as you select DTS as target elevation source. However, agree with the consistent suite thing. Note that I've not asked it to be implemented, just asked if it is implemented now :smilewink:
  3. Dunno what happened to slackerD answer. It kinda dissapeared. He pointed out what's been said. It's an unimplemented feature as paulrkiii noted and my own tests seem to confirm. Certainly it's a very exciting feature and that was why I started the thread. DTS elevation source is not very reliable in the mountains and the alternative to do an accurate delivery is to enter TGT elevation manually, which I see impractical.
  4. Great idea! Certainly more realistic than what we have now.
  5. Bumped just to point out that this glitch is still present on 1.1.0.9
  6. It is ok. You can use TCP or UDP locally. Just use localhost or 127.0.0.1 as destination address and you're done.
  7. Thx! Sounds very good. Flight plan to assist on the approach is a good idea. Will try to replicate. I'm afraid I'll be back with more questions when I get into it. P.D: Rep inbound
  8. Hi Laud, I'm trying some CCIP deliveries using the same document base (hawgsmoke mils pdf), but I am not very familiar with data from z-diagrams. I want to be sure I fully understand those before actually trying in the sim. For example: I'm planning a computed CCIP delivery using DRC as track reference. I recognize this values from the above diagram. Base Range: 1.6 nm Dive Angle: 45º Base Alt: 9500 ft Check Alt: 7500 ft Release Alt: 6000 ft Minimum Recovery Alt: 4700 ft Desired Time Of Fall (DTOF): 11.1 s SEM: CLM It seems AOD, IHP and IAA are not needed when using DRC, so nothing to say about them. So I only need release speed. Is that number on the right that reads 375? Hope you can help with some insight and advice. Regards.
  9. Many thx!!
  10. Try orbit task with radius=0. Cannot tell if it works, tough.
  11. Interesting! Little off-topic, but never understood SCS purpose. Can anyone elaborate on its practical use?
  12. Bought mine from SimWare Simulations http://www.simw.com They are based in Belgium, but is very likely that they ship to UK.
  13. Set a stop condition for orbit task on user flag activation. Activate flag with a trigger of type: ONCE -> UNIT DEAD(unit) -> FLAG ON(flagId) Once the unit is dead, flag x will be true and orbit task will end. Your Apaches will continue their flight plan. P.D: Druid always fast to the rescue!!
  14. Quite similar but I think it would be useful to have some functions that allow sending radio messages on a given frequency as a nice enhancement to the "message to coalition" and "message to all" actions for triggers. This could be also a trigger action instead. SendRadioMessage(freq, text, sound_file) It would allow for realistic implementation of mission control, ABCCC or even enhancement of existing entities as ATC, AWACS, another friendly flights or JTAC.
  15. Great news as always Olgerd. Thx for the info!
  16. TGP north arrow bug still not corrected as 1.1.0.9. Tested myself tonight. Here is the original thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=75916
  17. Thx for the response slackerD.
  18. Here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=77053 Hi quality work BTW. Thanks paulrkiii!!
  19. From Ground Weapon Employment OI by paulrkiii: Is this feature implemented in the sim? Cannot get "T DTS" and "T XXXX" indications on HUD firing laser. Is there any way to select TGP as target elevation source?
  20. Also, reading the changelog, most updates are related to 3D. So no reason for me to upgrade now.
  21. Negative. You can have two added symbols on TAD since 1.1.0.9. Mark Z symbol (white triangle) and last markpoint (square as usual). Dunno what happens when mark Z is also the last markpoint. Still got to try it.
  22. Little OT, but since 1.1.0.9, last markpoint is displayed in TAD along usual waypoints when in FLT PLAN mode and MISSION. Very handy!
  23. In order for this to be possible, the sim might give us an option to select a different sound device for all helmet related sounds. I think it would be a nice addition as long as it's not very hard to implement.
  24. Good work on that mission. Been flying with 6 squad mates from Escuadron 69 here in Spain and enjoyed a lot. However, we only managed to rescue pilot 1. Hope pilot 2 is still in good condition tonight on our 2nd take. Many thanks again!!
  25. Interesting. It'd be great if we could manually select JTAC control type between 1, 2 or 3. Actually, JTAC type depends on location of enemy and friendlies, but the logic is a bit obscure. It is not clear for me when JTAC will be using each type. Specifically, I've been able to set up JTAC to use types 2 and 3, but never got type 1.
