AFAIK, HDR is a combination of effects and is possible that the problem arises only with a particular one. In my tests white box incidence varies with the different settings (soft, normal and hard). Using hard settings yields the best results, though white boxes persist. Go to F11 view and pan around some base near a city. Sooner or later you will get white boxes.

Last info about the issue from Nate. He is not speaking for ED, but there is a possibility that the problem is on ATI/AMD's side. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1214921&postcount=11 Seems we are far from solving this one. Time to set HDR off and wait for better times either from a new patch or a new driver (or even a new card). Anyway, a bit dissapointed with the patch, generally speaking.

Nate, are you a referring to 69xx?. AFAIK, 68xx do not have the issue. So, can we assume it is AMD/ATI's responsability to solve this one? I assumed the issue was on ED's side as it was introduced with 1.1.0.7.

Issue still present here. Very sad indeed. This is the most wanted fix for me and with all the HDR options offered we are forced to switch it off. I could be wrong, but I don't think this is an ATI responsability as it worked well in pre .7 C'mon ED, bring a fix for us!!

11.4 whql, 11.4 hotfix, 11.5 whql, 11.5 hotfix in less than two weeks? I like frequent updates, but this just looks like a joke. Hope it improves something with my 6950.

There is another issue, HDR related as well, showing flickering when looking at the sun. Also, as I'm noticing that most cases are with AMD/ATI cards, I think it would be nice to get some confirmation from the nVidia guys, specifying which of the two issues are experiencing (white box/sun flicker). Meanwhile, I'm putting a question mark on nVidia cases until confirmation. AMD/ATI: 11 users with 6950/6970 have the issue 2 users with 6850/6870 don't have the issue 3 users with 5770/5870 don't have the issue NVIDIA: 1 user with GTX295 have the issue? Just for the record, Catalyst 11.4c hotfix doesn't solve any issue for me. Flickering and boxes are still here.

List was centered around white boxes anomaly only, but perhaps I should have specified. Flickering is happening in my rig also, mainly when looking at the sun so I assume it's the same problem you are experiencing.

...flickering issues seen in the following applications in a system using an AMD Radeon™ HD 6600 series graphics card... It seems only for 6600 series and I been experiencing the issue with 6950. Anyway, plan on test it later on and report back. Thanks!

Yep, it only happens with HDR enabled, so it probably could be solved in further patches. No feedback from ED on this one, though.

Also, lower left part of the HUD indicates your SPI source at all times.
